Obviously everyone with clear mind will pick Ethereum if you ask for the best AltCoin. It is the most promising and reliable for long term and short term investment. ICO on Ethereum platform is rapidly gaining popularity. Though the ETH price is still depend on bitcoin market. It just the matter of time that Ethereum will break the altcoin barrier.
What are the best Altcoins to invest in 2018 and 2019 ? How do you evaluate ?
My no.1 is Travelflex coin, firstly I looked at their product, secondly their roadmap and white paper and finally the team behind the project. If you look at any product and you see the qualities that you deserve in it then trust me you are good to go.

You need to decide for yourself to buy something. Since your knowledge is stronger than others, first analyze and study, and then think well. 
Which altcoins have a chance to increase the price most? Now the price is low and a good opportunity to buy.
Now a huge number of altcoins, and many of them have great potential. I recommend investing in already proven coins that have good capitalization, such as the following coins:ETH, EOS, NEO, monero, DASH, XRP

Everyone here has their favorite coins. And of course, everyone will advise you. But there is no one identical formula for all. Here I have 3 friends who are also passionate about investing money. But everyone has his own opinion, we only sometimes agree on certain points. I'll buy some coin for long holding, one friend sells with a small profit, and the other does not buy at all and is not going to invest money there. It's all very subjective.
I hope in WeLocal campaign. It seems good. You can join its bounty and airdrop project.
I personaly believe in one project called HYDRO, their coin already cost more than many others and also they provide a bounty right now, which I surely will participate.

I am glad to see EOS being recommended in this thread. My holding in EOS has already more than doubled so looking to hold for bigger gains.
For altcoin is a lot of choices and has good potential. Tron is my second choice after investing in ethereum. Seeing the movement while riding is very interesting to be a place of investment. I'll go invested in Tron for long term investment, many people say Tron is the next ethereum and I believe it.
My personal top altcoins for end of 2018 are ZCASH, Monero and Ethereum. I hold more coins than just these three, but I am sure that these three coins will boom by end of 2018 and in the first quarter of 2019!
Infrastructures people, infrastructures. If you want to play it safe, invest in ETH, NEO, Qtum etc., but if you want to gamble a bit, you cant miss with Wanchain, Icon, Aion, Zilliqa, POA, upcoming Quarkchain etc., these could give you insane ROIs long-term.
My opinion, My top coin are ETH, XRP, NEO, CS, WAVER, STRORM, TRF, TKY, EOS, MIOTA etc. Because these all coin has a good market cap. and I'm holding these coins.
I see the development of some Altcoins and in my opinion, the best for an investment like Ethereum, because the development of Ethereum is getting better from time to time and more and more people are interested in the market. I think ETH is suitable for investment.

I would choose new coins who have their own blockade or are working on its creation: such as Wanchain, Ziliiqa, Fusion
My opinion, My top coin are ETH, XRP, NEO, CS, WAVER, STRORM, TRF, TKY, EOS, MIOTA etc. Because these all coin has a good market cap. and I'm holding these coins.
Mosly people are talking about platfors here. Ethereum, NEO, EOS - those are all platforms. LTC and IOTA are cryptocoins by definition and RIPPLE is centralized crypto. Those are competitors this year.
The best altcoins are now the Ethereum, NEO, IOTA and Dash. I think that this situation will not change until the beginning of autumn..
I think it's hard to choose a promising coin among the great many existing now. I made my choice and I'm not only going to invest, but also participate in its campaign bounty.
