I suggest you ZClassic, the price is not under $ 1, but the market is also very small and supported by big stock exchanges like Bittrex. It could be a good winner for long-term investment.
Low price is not the most important thing. If you want invest in cheap coin try find more expensive coins to 5-10$ with good marketplace. I can recommen you deeponion, good marketplace and low cost
i think elixer has a lot of potential of growth and you can buy it for 0.10$ right now . it has low supply and also marketcap. so it can easily give you 100x returns
Price is not important, and marketcap is the key.
There are a lot of thread at altcoin discussion section where people ask advices about good projects with <5$, <1$, <0.1$ price of token (coin). I can't get that! The price of token doesn't matter at all. Project's cap and token supply is much more important!

You need to change your point of view first. There are coins that is under $1 but have billions of supply. There are also coins that is over $1 but have very limited supply. Coin price is not a definition of profit. You need to buy undervalued coins, not cheap coins.
I think KNC and REQ promising projects. They are partners. And the price of these coins is very much understated. Will be a sharp increase in 1-2 months.
My call would be XRP and DOGE. Once in a while these coins get pumped were you can make a descent profit. Although it can take a long time were your patience will be tested. DOGE was not long ago above 200 satoshi. It is cheap as chips therefore is a good time to buy in. BTC correction is on its way were altcoins have a great chance to rise rapidly
Alis in next weeks can reach to 1$, if it join in new exchange can pass 1$ very fast.

XRP is really backed by a lot of institutions.
If you want a good ROI tyou can't chose top10 crypto. Better to look at TOP 30 they can make a very good evolution; like NXT, it's slowly pumping since his bottom at 1000s.

It is very easy to ask, and yes, obviously that the price is not something very important, because the most important thing of an altcoin is just the marketcap, and of course, the max supply of that coin.
But yes, IOTA is one of the most profitable altcoins that are on the market right now, and its price is only at $0,77 each one of them, it will probably be more than one dollar at the end of the year.
Cardano is a good coin too, it has a lot of developments, and i am sure that it is going to be a big coin, because they have like an agreement with google. It is only $0,03, but it can easily go over $0,15 - $0,50.

IOTA looks promising to me. Their technology is brilliant (a way to do crypto without ming an without fees) but I miss the ability for smart contracts. A coin which combines both would be the next killer.
As of today for me its ripple,iota,xlm,and golem are the best altcoin to buy under $1.
Absolutely agree with this statement as with the fact that the price does not have a key value, the choice of altcoyin for investment is a complex issue for which no one here will answer you. This is your money, your risk and your responsibility, and the good guy would like to know for himself the answer, at the moment I'm bothering with IOTA, a very promising project and technology.
Try IOTA and XRP but if you want to gamble, buy DOGECOIN or BYTECOIN and pray that it will be pumped and dumped by whales.
