The best crypto exchanges in India in 2021 are:

1.PCEX Member
2.WazirX
3.CoinDcx
4.BitBns

My choice is PCEX Member as it has the lowest trading fee with a digital wallet whose custody is solely given to clients. There is no maker and taker fee. To start trading on PCEX Member, you just have to create an account, complete the KYC process, and link bank details with the account.

Why PCEX Member

- Five-layer security model
- User-friendly interface
- No hidden fees, only a single trading fee
- Multiple payment options including net banking, credit & debit cards, UPI and through wallets

lol you are shilling your own exchange as top exchange, nice.

I don't know much about others but I'd definitely warn everyone to stay away from Zebpay. They scammed me of 27k. I have exchanged more than 25 letters with them. It's been more than a month and they haven't paid my funds back.

Throughout my complains, they have been telling me to be patient and now after more than 25 Emails exchanged, they are telling me that my funds have already been restored but I don't see anything.

So, I say, if you want to avoid heartache, stay far away from Zebpay. Go for Coinswitch, if you're into Indian exchange. It is very transparent compared to Zebpay.

Now, I am using Binance and I have not had a single issue with them. They have Indian Rupees INR exchange too.

There are a lot of scammers present at the local crypto website in India so be cautious before doing any transaction. I had a very bad experience there and hence have stopped using it.

I still prefer using exchanges like Giouttus and Wazirx where your chance of getting scammed is when they stop their business which I doubt will happen in the future.
Wazirx is safer but people who cashout cryptos into fiat are more towards the instant payouts over the secured that is why they prefer p2p where it almost take only few minutes to complete the trades.

Are their exchanges in India which work without KYC, or all of them require KYC as a mandatory after the government regulations being not still being very clear about the crypto stand in the country. Just wondering there would be thousands of users who might want to hold the crypto but due to the polices they might just not be ready to buy it.
There are plenty of such places where you can buy/sell Crypto against INR without KYC.

BTC: https://LocalCryptos.com/Bitcoin/India/

ETH: https://LocalCryptos.com/Ethereum/India/

LTC: https://LocalCryptos.com/Litecoin/India/

BCH: https://local.Bitcoin.com/offers/India/

A word of advice: Do not go by the best price. Go by popularity to avoid being scammed.

Also, I wish, more people in India start using https://bisq.network.
Localcryptos is good place to sell or buy cryptos but not really better because the prices are having huge difference from the market price and also not much of liquidity so you have to wait for few hours to days for a transaction to get completed while LBC just takes a min or two to get this done. I am not sure Bisq has any volume for INR, Anyone used it here?

Yes, if you want to purchase cryptocurrency in India, using Indian bank account and using Indian Exchange, you have to comply with KYC norms. Earlier P2P Exchanges like Remitano had options for Indian users to trade without revealing their identity but it was risky deal and scammers used hacked accounts to buy on such platforms. As per my knowledge, now none of the exchange allows Indian users to trade without doing KYC.

By the way, which policy are you referring to be exact? It isn't illegal to hold cryptocurrencies in India by any means. I don't see anything wrong with Exchanges asking users to do KYC. Every transaction done in Indian Rupee which resulted in income or profit for the parties is subject to taxation. That's why every user has to give his PAN Card during KYC process so Income Tax Department can track all your crypto purchases and sales and see if you are paying correct Capital Gain tax on such profits. KYC norms will remain same even if Indian Government explicitly make cryptocurrencies legal.

I wanted to refer that due to unclear policies like we all know what is the government stand on crypto right from beginning and they still stand the same. It was SC that came in picture in between and said to be legal and again the government is in mood to get pass the law in parliament to get it curbed. Now under such situation a person thinks what is going on or let government decide finally about it and then only may decide about investing in it.

I'm using Bitbns exchange from 2018 & I think Bitbns exchange is not bad but there bank withdrawal fees much more compere to the WazirX. WazirX exchange is also good but coindcx is one of the bad exchange  in india, because this exchange have a big security flop & i think there users funds are not safe.

So my personal advice is don't use coindcx exchange
Bitbns isn't bad per se, but their BNS token shenanigans were a tad bit too much to handle, so I stay away from their products as such.
WazirX without is a good one, especially after that binance partnership stuff.
CoinDCX has had a few issues, but that's why they brought in that insurance and I'm not aware of many issues in recent past.

But then it's your money, so choose wisely.

The only one I wasn't aware of from the list is BuyUcoin. First time hearing its name.

But what I want to know is, just like CoinDCX allows staking coins to earn interest. WazirX has also added this feature where user can keep his coin and earn interest from 4-9% and it can seem lucrative to many since the bank interest is very low right now due to covid, it is at 5.50% if I am not mistaken but do they offer insurance like banks do?

What if the coins get lost, stolen, hacked etc. like it has happened many times in the past. And you'll hear experts often tell you to not keep your coins in an exchange unless you're trading. Which is another added feature by WazirX, you can trade your coins at the same time they're being staked and interest gets adjusted based on how many coins were being staked for how much time.

So, do you guys think it is safe to keep coins at these exchanges for the sake of earning interest? Do these platforms offer any insurance?

Coindcx has insurance afaik, few months sgo someone was hacked for 3 BTC and they reciprocated it.

From all this list, I have heard and use only Wazirx. It is strange that the author mentioned this entire list, I do not think that these exchanges are popular

I'm very surprised again, CoinDCX and bitbns are quite famous.
Infact bitbns even advertised in newspapers if I'm not wrong. They even had some IEO of sorts and has a huge userbase, although wazirx has overtaken now I think.

But always beware while using any site.

Zebpay is a trusted player in Indian crypto-market with proven a track-record. Even though Zebpay has some issue with their interface and pricing, so far they have shown they are here to stay and do the business.

Self tested:-
(1) WazirX
Issue for INR depositing because of Current Account manual money sending issues.. and withdraw fee also.

Can you explain in more details what issue are you pointing out here about WazirX? As far as I know, deposits are credited almost instantly if you send INR to WazirX's Current Account from the bank account you have verified with WazirX.

Also, deposit fee is just ₹5.9 and withdrawal fees are ₹10 (IMPS) and ₹5 (NEFT) which I consider negligible. Not a big issue for me.
