<…> So can you please help with extracting this data somehow or point me to someone who may help?
If I haven’t messed anything up, the following file contains the info for the top 20 merited profiles, broken down by days (up to last friday): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1v8CT6AvjckH6SFYiRhEB8xIItw7lg65Q2O_S1Bg2uBw/edit?usp=sharing

It contains the following information: UserId, Name, nMeritsAcc, nPosition, DateOfRank.

Where:
nMeritsAcc is the sum of all merits earned by the profile up to DateOfRank
nPosition is the ranking position of each specific date (DateOfRank).
DateOfRank is the date up to which the calculation is performed. If goes up to midnight (UTC).

The data is only for the currently top 20, not the historical top 20.

You can also play around with the filters to see your position each day. For example, If I filter by DdmrDdmr, I was P2 on the 19th and 20th of January 2019.

Note: This info is on the Merit Dashboard (last tab – Merit Race) for all merited profiles with >= 100 earned merits (in bar line race format - no shifting around though).
Thank you for the sheet. It is exactly what I needed for the last graph and I had to take this data manually. I don't think there is any point in making it over with more accuracy, I would rather make a new one which will show the historical top 20.

Or maybe more convenient: for each position in the Top 20, the daily username on that position and their Merit amount?
So can you please help with extracting this data somehow or point me to someone who may help?
All the data you need is in merit.all.txt. Unfortunately, I won't have time any time soon, we're in work from home lockdown, with the kids at home to distract continuously.

Ah, its times like this that I wish I weren't colorblind.

I believe that's what the curves would tell you, though we've also never seen Satoshi's posts merited in a parabolic bullrun with lots of new users entering the space.

Except new users start with zero merit and tend to accrue sendable merits pretty slowly.

Point well made, I rest my case Cheesy

That's why the names are in the same order as the right side of the graph.

It is interesting that satoshi was one of two users to immediately gain several hundred merits. The other user being the man who invented the merit system.
There were more users with "initial fame" who quickly gained a large amount of Merit. I'd say it's interesting that none of them are in the Top 20 anymore.

Satoshi is the only non active user who will be always one of the top merited users. Expect no less from the founder.
Based on my graph, I expect satoshi to be removed from the Top 20 in about half a year.

Just food for thought, though you're probably right.

What do you need for this? A daily Top 20 with usernames and their Merit amount? Or maybe more convenient: for each position in the Top 20, the daily username on that position and their Merit amount?
Username list for each position of daily top 20 would make it far easier. A while ago I tried to find this data Cheesy https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.53982002. DdmrDdmr's dashboard is super useful for that but I had to extract every single data manually from his dash.

Did you include airdropped Merit too? Vod for instance is no longer in the Top-20, while there was a time Vod earned more Merit than me.
Yes, airdropped merits are also included.

But it'll be so nice to see! The animation should probably be a bit slower to be able to absorb all data in it.
Sure Smiley If the community finds these graphs useful, I'll make another one with stated corrections.

Here, in this table, I took the current top 20 users and the table is about their merit receiving history. (so among these 20 you always were #2)

I'm still working on a graph of the current Top-20 Merit earners, but it's currently killing my spreadsheet.

However, top20 changing over time is also possible to make but is just tons of work:/

Ah shit  Cheesy here you go with 5 posts to answer everybody  Roll Eyes I think you should change the way you write. Use one article to answer all here, you can quote each article, then remove the unnecessary parts, put them together and reply with a simple post, If it's too long, you can use two, but one is best  Wink in the same way that LoyceV and others did
Damn, I didn't think about that. Thanks, for the advice Smiley

Does that mean the number of merit has been sent? I didn't think of that because your title is the most merited, not SENT
Just figured out the point. Yes, Loycev's bar needs to be reduced.

You will receive the amount of merit worth the time you spend. We all know how important merit is  Wink
includes airdropped merits as well

wow what a cool thing Cool
how exactly does that work?
can you do that with a userlist we provide you with?
or e.g. with all users who post in a special subforum?

 Shocked Shocked

I'm glad that you like it! Of course, I can. (with better accuracy)

I think you should compress it with a bigger frame, this frame is too small and I can't even see the names of the users there. Can you try another one? I know you because you made one for LoyceV on his 5th birthday, you have great experience for this field Cheesy Reveal: I will give you 2 merit if you can make one more clear (not much, but worthy)  Wink

Not sure about my answer, but this is like compressing each user's web history or each section/part. Perhaps it can only be done for individual users or fixed sections on the board  Roll Eyes
Yes, I'll gladly do another one. Just ping me the details here or in pm. Thanks much for your interest!

I like it, but it's wrong: I wasn't always #2 when it comes to Merit. Can you create a new one, but with all users included, so the users in the Top 20 change over time?
If needed, I might be able to help extract the data from the full Merit history. I think it would be cool to see when new users join the Top 20.

I think you should compress it with a bigger frame, this frame is too small and I can't even see the names of the users there.
I can read it after clicking this:
The full resolution is probably too large for the forum's image proxy.

Well, after careful review by the original. I realize this data is wrong  Roll Eyes theymos is the only one whose merit exceeds 6000, you have a total of 5947 merit, but he makes it beyond 6000. Basically, the data he gives is not accurate.
The table includes airdropped merits as well

Also, the background is not a screenshot, it is all drawn.

Is there enough space to show 20 users at the same time? Maybe the name will be so small and blurry we can't see it  Roll Eyes I'm not sure, but it would be great if he could make another. Hope he will agree

Edited: With Tableau you can achieve this kind of results, and the new version has made it easier. It works for profiles with >= 100 earned merits, which allows for it work properly now.

The race takes place on the last tab of the Merit Dashboard:Merit Race

Usage:
-   Select the users on the left side "Received Merit Race" tab (top 22 are already selected) or type them one by one into the "To User Name" and press enter.
-   Set the Date slider to Jan 2018 (if it is not already there)
-   Press the play button (on the right hand side, under the date slider).

Each frame holds for a second or so, and represents a month's worth of data. It can be set to daily, but it gets pretty long to watch.
