ID verification is requested to avoid legal issue get in unnecessarily. Few countries do have restriction on their citizens getting into crypto market. This would be main reason behind asking for the id verification. We do have security purpose as well. I would say its a better practice to go trade with id verification. Few exchanges do not require it since they may be new and would require a market growth.

hi i was just wondering if there where any crypto exchanges that dont require lots of verification i registered with coinbase and within an hour i was getting phone calls soliciting me with services is there any exchanges that just let you email verify like bitmex does and lets you trade between altcoins? thanks

well, not using KYC is a bad sign. you either will tradee with a big exchange, have ability to trade fiat-crypto and withdraw fiat after passing KYC. or you trade with a small exchange and conditions could be really.. not that convenient

Decentralized exchanges are great on paper, but most of them have pretty low liquidity compared to more centralized exchanges and some of them can be a bit difficult to use, even though most newer DEXes are designed to be simple and easy to use. Wouldn't recommend using a DEX to a newbie, but feel free to try them out. More and more exchanges are starting to request KYC documents (even LocalBitcoins), and DEXes may become important in the future just because of this.

We can do trading without ID verification but withdrawing higher limits we need to verify our accounts. Till now I have not verified my account in Binance but still I am trading and withdrawing little amount of the money.
I think that just a few exchange sites have implemented it like that, there are a number of exchanges like Huobi that require to complete the original identity in order to be able to trade, even with a small amount of value.

Other recomendation is use decentralized exchange like waves platfform and IDEX, decentralized exchange is more safe because we own the private key so that mean we have full control with the all coins in that platform.

Although we can trade without id verification, we don't have much pair and most of the coin trade with ethereum. Only in Binance have the benefits for the trader to trade without verification and the verification is only for a mobile phone number and then we need to activate 2fa for security. Besides that, Binance has a large coin list which we can use for trade.

Binance dont need KYC and enable trading between altcoins and withdrawing up to 2 bitcoin per day. More than 2 bitcoin require KYC.

That's right, unless they're not reaching the limits they can trade without submitting KYC. Then, if your really want to trade without it, you can trade at decentralized exchange such as DEX, Forkdelta, Coinexchange, Yobit, and IDEX.

you are right. besides that some exchangers make it easy for users to be able to trade without the need to do it, but with certain limitations. however, if it's hard enough for you, you can use a decentralized exchanger.
But ID verification is an easy thing to do, it is a condition that is easily fulfilled and with these features, the service will improve. The security of an exchange will be even better. I find it strange why there are still people who have difficulty doing this step, this is an easy thing that can provide improvements in exchange services around the world.

You have already mentioned one and I will add Binance which I think doesn't require Know Your Customer ( KYC) verification before you trade with the company unlike others that requires such personal information.
You can trade with Binance even without KYC, you just need to confirm your email and you are good to go.
However, there is a certain limit on the amount you trade, so it's not good if you are a consistent trader, maybe the answer to this is their DEX, and let's hope it will be live as soon as possible.

It's weird that people from this exchange are calling you. Exchanges don't usually do that. You can try exchange Binance. There is no need to pass KYC and you can safely trade. This is one of the most popular exchanges for trading.

I also have a constant problem in passing KYC, I don’t want to send my data to them, there are even exchanges where I have a balance, I just dropped it, let 0.55 ETH hang there, then the rules can change.
No id verification to buy bitcoin or to trade is good and it is problem too as you have mentioned some there are some sites which gives this opportunity to trade, but for this we can trade only two coins at once after that we will need further 24 hours to transact again, but to be real and to be safe it  is much better to register your id verification.

OP,you can open easily on so many exchanges without passing the required KYC procedure. In future, if you exceed the trading amount limits then you will be asked to send  documents for getting access to withdrawals.

I don't think there is any legitimate exchange that doesn't require KYC because this is obliged according to the law and they would risk their business. And I would avoid exchanges that don't follow the law and regulations.
There is always so much fuzz about KYC but honestly I don't understand why are people so much against it and why are afraid of it. This is also for your protection and if you don't have nothing to hide or if you don't have fraudulent intentions KYC shouldn't be a problem.

Try opening an account in kucoin. In there, you just need to enable the 2fa and you're ready to trade on their platform and you can withdraw it easy. Huobi also like bitmex, that only  need email verification and you can now trade.
I don’t really understand why we all have issues with KYC except KYC requirement for each countries varies, the KYC documents that has been requested from me so far just a normal verification ID that will allow them know the user they are dealing with incase any fraudulent issue arises which they don’t use for any other personal things.

Most of these exchanges now require KYC, though the type of transaction you are also requesting to perform through them will determine the level of KYC the user will go through. If we feel our details will be used against us, is it not better we also verify the exchange first and be sure they are real, solid and genuine before making use of their platform.

Some sites required verification if they are also required to make it compulsory for their traders, they are under the law, so they have to follow.
But one site that is popular now does not require KYC so far, and maybe this is only for a small amount of trade, but if you are not a big trader, you can use Binance exchange for this matter, this will help you solve your problem.

I have a lot of accounts in different exchanges but most of them requires a KYC and actually I did comply as I don't want to have possible problem in the future. Actually it's up to you, for me, I have nothing to hide, so I can comply as long as the trust is reputable.
