thank you very much

I don't think you can add it to an existing account. You'll have to open a new account for the discount.

I have been pretty happy with my 3 cash outs at tradehill. That was before the dwolla incident anyway. When I needed help logging in (signed up a long time ago, but didn't use the account for a few months) they were quick to help me retrieve my username/password via email and quite courteous.

I don't know about the Dwolla incident I'll have to check into it.

So are you saying you like paxum? Because it looks shady, expensive, and like they want ENTIRELY too much information for some company that I have no clue about.

Well I don't know where you all are at but in the US tradehill is stuck on paxum which I don't know about but it wants
$50 to deposit funds into it....  screw that.  Was going to give tradehill a chance and figured it would be better because
paxum is based in Canada but Dwolla seems better than paxum.  The whole thing is an entire slow pain in the ass with excessive costs.

Hi, I'm new to these exchanges, but so far I created an Mt Gox and a Tradehill account because I am desperate (yes desperate) to buy bitcoin in a safe way, at market rates.  However, for a Canadian, is a massive pain in the butt since no solid CAD exchanges exist yet with enough liquidity/efficiency to produce competitive market rates. I now have to go through hoops to get some USD in either exchange so that I can buy some BTC. My options right now are an LR account, or opening a free chequing account in a US eBank and then using Dwolla as the middle man between it and the exchanges.  Anyone else have a better idea?

Trade in both. Don't ditch MtGox just yet; they've been learning some invaluable lessons. Besides, there's an arbitrage opportunity with pretty good percentages between TradeHill and MtGox. Buy low in LRUSD at TradeHill and sell high at MtGox.

For those in Europe looking to cashout, spendbitcoins.com works quite well. You get to buy stuff and not wait for transfers & shiznit and there are NO transaction fees.

i think neither. There needs to be another better site made. mtgox has been compromised and its failing a disgrace to the bitcoin movement

Both. Having alternatives is good.

If Mt. Gox manages to get up and running again, they should be much more secure than before. Talk about trial by fire.

Tradehill has not faced anything drastic, yet. Fingers crossed they will not have to.

You also can and should report his referral code. Everyone that spams it like he just did gets their code blacklisted/disabled.

Where do you see that sharing the code gets you blacklisted/disabled?

On the tradehill site it says  the Affiliate Program code "can be placed in ads, used on forums, sent in emails and a variety of other ways"

And if you change your mind use my code  Smiley
