you need to run 'sierrachartfeed-0.2.exe -s thUSD' from a command box and leave it running, then go to Sierra Charts and File>New/Open Intraday Chart>thUSD.scid

Many thanks! Will give this a try.

Stew

Hey Dood,

Looked for that 'sierrachartfeed-0.2.exe  executable, using comman prompt, but its not anywhere in the Sierrachart program directory.

Am I missing something? Is this a seperate download that I need to install?

Sorry for my noviceness.. Smiley

You can also use SierraCharts here http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=6019.0;all and it will work with the feed from TradeHill too

Thanks, I download and have sierra chart running... can you tell me how to get the tradehill feed to work with it?

Can't seem to find the place to enter the feed?

Many thanks,
SJ

You need to make a script, app, extension, website, etc. that parses this raw data.

Anyways check out http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/

Now I understand, thank you.

I have been using the charts from the link above, tradehills in particular.

Would you recommend a simple app/extension I could use to run this api?

Folks,

I've never used it before so am not sure what it's suppose to look like. I imagine it's a streaming graphic?

I am getting this goddly-gook when trying to access the ticker:

{"ticker": {"sell": "14.9400000000", "buy": "14.9300000000", "last": "14.95", "vol": "0", "high": "0", "low": "0"}}

I am using Firefox 4.0.   Am I doing something wrong or is it just down on Tradehill's?

Is there another ticker out there that you would recommend?

Thanks,
Stew

You should consider hiring or consulting Clark Moody.

At least listen to that guy and setup websocket,
the stuff he did with mt gox's api is wonderful.

Thanks for the tip. I'll do some research on Clark.

You are welcome.

I don't know if you saw this, maybe you did:
I'll be sure to integrate as soon as they get a WebSocket server up and running.

IMO, this would no doubt benefit your exchange, I see it as the entrance to getting a lot of trades per minute.

I myself, was mainly watching his order book and time-sales like a hawk, and would even stop trading on mt gox when mtgox's websocket was down, so in my mind this is very important.
As most of us don't yet have the technical ability to implement something with the APIs ourselves we have to rely on someone that has implemented something, and something Very well.

these only work in browsers that have websockets enabled but it's enough to configure or switch to a browser like Chrome or Safari that does so securely.
He did these for mtgox.

Initial post and also configuring firefox for websockets.

I like your interaction with the community here. You do seem to be on top of things. Just wanted to give you a vote of confidence. Not to keen on the large fees for some of the transfers, but you have to make money of course. I wish you the best in this endeavor.

We actually only tack on a small amount on top of what the bank charges. US banks are really bad about fees.
With that said I've been negotiating with our banks and I may be able to get the wire fees close to zero and then just tack a little on for the guy that manually processes wires.

It should be interesting, expect the changes in a day or so.

Thanks Jered.

You're welcome. We've hired 4 highly qualified people in the last couple days and are still recruiting so you should see things in general happening faster.
We actually take the time to answer all the emails even if it's explaining how to send some btc so we need to either aggressively expand and recruit or cut back on service.
We've decided to grow and are especially looking for Python programmers in either DC or San Francisco.

awesome, thanks for your efforts Jered.

It should be working now. We're obviously experiencing a really high volume of queries and had to make some changes.
We have been testing different features and you should be seeing improved performance soon.

If there are any more issues with the ticker not displaying correctly let me know and we will get on it.

Regards,
Jered
