Guys, do you think is worth doing them and is it a good time to do one? And what do you think about trading competitions at all?
Are you the one conducting trading competition or you will join a trading competition? If you want to conduct a trading competition then it really helps the exchange and certain token gather volume from the traders. If you will join a trading competition make sure that you have the basic knowledge in technical analysis for you to go with the flow of the token.

Nah, those trading rewards are mostly being bagged by whales that have a substantial amount of funds to play around with, so shrimps like most of us cannot really compete against them and would just get rekd trying. So yes, its just a marketing strategy for projects and exchanges to get some exposure and hype, but small players in the space cannot profit off of it.

With a large capital and also has its own trading team, I think whales will always win prizes in the trading competition. But with a trading competition, we can test our trading skills and correct our shortcomings

I think it's good if we participate in trading competitions. In addition to honing our trading skills and profit, we will also get prizes that are of great value. By entering a trading competition, we will gain experience from using the techniques we have and also improve them if we make a mistake

Competition is normal in trading but if you can't beat them you can do some strategies to earn even if the market is manipulated by the whales. You can possibly surf with the whales when they are hoarding the market. You can really earn without competing with the whales. Many traders are surfing the waves just like others and not going beyond the greediness of other traders.

it's worth it but unless if you are expert in trading or let say you have more experienced about it.  Because that's the most important in order to win on that competition..  Being lack is very dangerous mate so before planning to jump in it , make sure you are ready to face all the obstacles 'cause you know repenting always happened at the end. So ensured  everything will be fine while you're still planning  before making final decision.
No you are wrong, in most trading competitions i have seen it doesn't matter if you are good or not at trading, all you have to do is just participate and you will be given out rewards from the pool just for participating, the higher the $$$$ you use in trading competition the higher your reward

It's +EV, because at the end of the day, you're not losing anything.

Sure, you may have to conduct KYC, but if the exchange platform that you are doing that on is legitimate and regulated, I don't see a problem with that. There is no barrier to entry, thus there is no element of negative expected value.

Whether or not it's worth your time is doubtful, though. I wouldn't be counting it as an income source, but in your spare time, it could be a fun activity that can win prizes for you here and there occasionally. I've personally seen people profit from completely free competitions from Zebpay and the like.

If you know to yourself that you have the capability and skills on trading, you can go and participate. But if you are just a beginner only in trading industry, I think you are just killing your investment unto it. Because most of the participants in there have knowledge and idea in trading. Yes, it may give you a profit but it can also melt your budget once you made the wrong move whether in selling or buying.
But this was just all my opinion, it is still up to you dude.

For small time traders and newbies in trading, you better stay out of this trading competition. Sure, the prize pool sometimes is really big that you are thinking of joining even if you are not really a full time trader. But that is the danger. When you take the bait of the prize pool and risk for it for the sake of having the smallest chance to take a slice, you are already defeated. This is perfect for big time traders.

It would be good for traders as you will be able practice skill in terms of analyzing graphs but I think this kind of competetions are not good for newbies as possibility of getting rekt. The main goal of this is basically to gain volumes and exposure for those traders who only do techincals without doing research.

i never try it before, and i know people that join on trading competition must be know all about trading and experienced. many exchanger use this method to promote their place, to increase that volume. many people lose and gain coin here, but i appreciate to both of them, it have good idea to improve or show trader skill, and trader can earn profit as much as possible. both of them get the advantages

You are right. Trading competitions seem profitable for people who have big capitals only. They have the power to eliminate small traders in every competitions. Poor for small traders and big chances for big traders, this is the weakness in trading competition.

if you have a lot of money and time to trade it's very worth it if you want to take part in competing trading and also you have to be really expert in the world of trading so as not to lose, right now there are a lot of markets that hold trading commissions and the prizes are pretty good.  if I have the capital to trade maybe I will also follow it .. I think promoting through trading competitions is not a good thing because some people want to take part in those times but do not fully understand trading. So that what happens is only reduced assets. And this is also only limited to those who have funds, not to the general public who do not have funds. The winner will definitely have a lot of capital and is good at trading. The campaign should be free without issuing anything in order to create fair demands. Trading competitions only create temporary demand, in the sense that the volume of the coin expands during the period of competition and certainly the volume will drop dramatically after the competition ends. Can we call this fake volume?

Guys, do you think is worth doing them and is it a good time to do one? And what do you think about trading competitions at all?

in my opinion the trading competition carried out by several ICO / IEO projects is very good because this method can attract investors and traders to buy and sell using these coins ... so as to be able to boost sales until it reaches hardcap ... as has been done by the BCNEX project so that their project reaches Hardcap (88%) by holding several competition trading sessions ...
it's not true, they doing trading session caused by bcnex is a new exchange site service and that's a normal thing to see this exchange site tried to promote its own exchange site through create some competititons to attract the traders but it maybe different when it comes to the coin promotion.
Trading will become a short term promotion only and it will be gone after the competition has ended. Bcnex is not a good example to be used as a representation in this case.

Trading contests can affect the coin both positively and negatively. Usually the price afterwards always tends to go down, especially when they give big rewards.

But it's not worth the reward that already available in the contest compared with how much money that must be used to win the competition. Remember about you must try to create such an accumulation with the chance to get a loss.
If that guy used 100 BTC and he will be winning the contest instantly and remember the reward for the first place winner is only a few bitcoin but average is around a half of bitcoin.

Guys, do you think is worth doing them and is it a good time to do one? And what do you think about trading competitions at all?

I think it's an amazing idea if you can do it. There are many projects that conduct trading competitions. This will make the coins sell faster than not competing. One of them is Bcnex which has done so recently. Sorry, not promoting it, because the promotion period has also been completed.
Agree that the trading contest will make the project more popular and its volume will increase rapidly. But there is also the problem that its price can go up and make many people suffer losses if the investment does not learn.

Guys, do you think is worth doing them and is it a good time to do one? And what do you think about trading competitions at all?
Trading competition is good for the overall entities of that project, that is, the members, the exchange and the project in question. In the case of members, it gives them the opportunity to earn more tokens but however, they need to be trading experts. In the case of exchange, it helps to increase the volume of that exchanges as well as increasing its activities too. Finally, in the case of the project, it helps to increase the price while making the project to have more volume. So in all ramifications, I think trading competition is good, but make sure you are an expert before getting involved.

trading competition is one way to get cryptocurrency in a very pleasant way. Especially if the tokens are provided free by the exchange. It also trains trading skills and analyzes market movements. So you can get two benefits at once. An exchange which often holds trading competitions is bitforex.

It depends on the prizes if the prizes are big, then why not we are not giving a try? Especially if they allow us to withdraw the profit if we cannot win the trading competitions. I think that still worth to try if we have skills and want to try to win because I am sure that the prizes will be bigger than we can thaught.

In the past, projects and exchanges organising trading competitions was highly effective and not only drove prices upwards but helped with more publicity for such projects. Unfortunately, modern day Trade competitions have little or no significance. The uncertainty regarding most of these projects has meant most persons are losing interest in trading or investment and this is probably nothing.
Yes, so far the competition trading has been quite effective in attracting market attention to the tokens that have just been listing on a project. With certain prizes, traders are given the opportunity to trade, some are free and some must be deposited first. Tokens and exchanges will both benefit in expanding the market network. For traders, this is also a new way to get profit. Bitforex, one that often trades competitions.

I participated once in a trading competition where there were many participants. I lost a lot of money on commissions, and at the same time I did not receive anything from the exchange because I did not take the prize. Exchanges earn millions of dollars in such competitions, and pay out prizes for a couple of thousand.

I've seen different trading competitions but not mostly in crypto. The one that I saw was with trading stocks and you know what? they have a restriction that the competition would be only allowed for newbies, how can they determine that since it's with stocks?
For crypto trading, I think there will be no restriction allowed since there will be a hard way to determine if the contestant is really new to trading. Because he can just simply say that he's new to crypto trading although he's experienced.

Trading competitions  only look for some people who had a lot of volume, I never taken part of it. I just trade when I feel the market is suitable for me to trade, just spend money that I had and set the targe then I can see the result.

Actually it is good for those people who have a lot of money. They can spurred to get profit or a lot of volums in order to get the competitions. But yeah ussually the participant who participate the trading competitors are some people who have became an expert to trade on cryptocurrencies.

I always see a number of exchanges every time I trade, to check the highest volume and market capitalization available. Don't be afraid of trading, that's the real art of cryptocurrency.

You can try minor trade competitions which you can win. Because in competitions on big exchanges like Binance, a little bigger money circulates. As wasting your time. Or work with beforehand known numbers. For example, if you trade 10BTC, you will get 1 BTC giveaway.

Trading competition is cool because aside from giving qualified traders who participated some dividends after the competition, it helps create awareness for newly listed coins in the sense that more traders get to know about the coin. The bad side is that it leads to pump and dump most times since traders whose main aim of trading the coin is for the competition tend to dump when the competition is over.

that's only a dream and do you know how much people participated in the competitions more than thousands of people participated and you will get a penny and it's never worth with how much money that you have spent for that. Minor competition is always having the same result.

Trading competition is a very good thing, this can be an advantage for all parties, the merchants, even the exchanger, both of which have benefited from each.
especially for the winners of the competition, besides being able to benefit from their trade, they will also win the prize.

They're okay but you need to come equipped with the right knowledge and gameplan in order to get okay or good results. The risk is always there but I was in it for the fun as well. One new thing that I'm getting into is this new offering which is like a lottery for you to get large chunks of hot coins by using the STP token. My 60cents turned into $25 while others may be luckier than me.

Through trading competition you can increase the trading volume of your exchange and get a higher rank on rating site like in CMC. But it's not good enough to attract new users. If your goal is to increase users on your exchange, I think a signature campaign would be a better idea.

Now days  i don't think there is any competition And what do you think about trading competitions at all?
I don't support the idea of trading competition, it has just short term advantage, the token earn will be dump in the market, prefer organic growth than artificial growth through trading competition

To celebrate listing or to make a promotion, exchanges have trading competition with specific coin. All participants will get some rewards, people with the most trades will have higher
prizes of course. There are many trading competitions I read about, on different exchanges. Giveaway for the most active people.
I participated in one trading competition, but I`m  a little fish, whales with big amounts have reserved first places. I got some little amount for participating and when I like some project I
participate in competitions, but I`m always at the bottom of that competition.

There are a lot of trading competitions and those one you meant, when you have to trade 1 token and get bonuses, that is insane and i suggest to avoid it at all.
But there are other competitions, like best % rate, when you trade with leverage and make the better ROI than other traders and finally get decent prize for this activity, that's what i am saying. i encourage this type of competition

if you have the ability to trade, you should follow it. in this case you must be serious in doing, because I know is that the prizes given in a trading competition are quite large. but there will be many rivals if the competition in an exchange that has many users. maybe you will find many rivals in the competition
in a competition usually the movement of assets will move quickly. like a manipulation, but the real market won't be like that. all because of the competition for a prize. focus and always see how to move.

in my opinion the trading competition carried out by several ICO / IEO projects is very good because this method can attract investors and traders to buy and sell using these coins ... so as to be able to boost sales until it reaches hardcap ... as has been done by the BCNEX project so that their project reaches Hardcap (88%) by holding several competition trading sessions ...

Trading competition will make the trader want to get more profit and ignore the risk, they just want to get reward by bring a lot of money into the market, its surely can pressure the psychology. The exchanger just want high income then before, they take more money from every single transaction and just give little reward to the winner.

If you are into day trading and the trading competition is from a good exchange with good volume, than it would be a piece of cake for you.
But these trading competition are generally hosted by less popular exchange and if done by a popular one, there would be tough competition and only the highest volume day traders would receive any reward.

I fully support trading competitions and I always participate in most of them. But stay away from volume trading competitions, while you should trade shitcoin and fed exchange with trading fees
If you see trading competition, just let me know in DM , because I am a big fan of it and also sometimes you need team members in trading competitions, so I am ready to join a team

I think it's an amazing idea if you can do it. There are many projects that conduct trading competitions. This will make the coins sell faster than not competing. One of them is Bcnex which has done so recently. Sorry, not promoting it, because the promotion period has also been completed.

Trading completions for me are mere distraction
It is only very functional for the whales participants and bias

A better competition is a buy back program by the team, gives benefits to all who chooses to be a part of it

Every trade competition is made by good exchange, so it is very feasible to follow, whether it is winning or not is a later matter, the important thing is to try first in the competition, because each trade competition has its own duration, so taking advantage of the competition is far better.

Having a trading competition is good especially for the exchange as it will bring volume and attract new investors. Project will also benefit from the trading competition because price will somehow increase. However, trading competition can be manipulated as many traders are using bots to trade and its not good as it will be called wash trading.

I don't like joining trading competitions. I tried it in the past but some people wanted to win so bad that they have to resort to wash trading. It is good for the project because it keeps the volume up and the exchange because of the fees but it's not good for legit participants.

I think of course trading competition can be done anytime. even when the crypto market is experiencing a decline or increase. If you are capable of all the regulations, it certainly doesn't hurt you to participate in the competition.

If you are expert in trade and you can minimize your lost and then it's worth to try but if the opposite thing happened and you will lose a big amount that's not worth compared with what you have got from the trading competition price.
Think about that dude. How much you will get compared with the possibility to get the lost.

I don't think trading competitions are for all people. The awards may sound attractive but you have to consider them with possible losses. As far as I know, trading competitions are usually available for new listing coins. Those new listing coin's prices are unstable, and hence more risks. That said, trading competitions should be more suitable for traders, who are really good at trading.

This requires some trading experience and if the reward is worth the time and resources, trading competition requires some fund and a lot of trade losses, will the reward be enough to compensate the losses you get trading those coins?
