Guys, do you think is worth doing them and is it a good time to do one? And what do you think about trading competitions at all?
Are you the one conducting trading competition or you will join a trading competition? If you want to conduct a trading competition then it really helps the exchange and certain token gather volume from the traders. If you will join a trading competition make sure that you have the basic knowledge in technical analysis for you to go with the flow of the token.

Nah, those trading rewards are mostly being bagged by whales that have a substantial amount of funds to play around with, so shrimps like most of us cannot really compete against them and would just get rekd trying. So yes, its just a marketing strategy for projects and exchanges to get some exposure and hype, but small players in the space cannot profit off of it.

With a large capital and also has its own trading team, I think whales will always win prizes in the trading competition. But with a trading competition, we can test our trading skills and correct our shortcomings

I think it's good if we participate in trading competitions. In addition to honing our trading skills and profit, we will also get prizes that are of great value. By entering a trading competition, we will gain experience from using the techniques we have and also improve them if we make a mistake

Competition is normal in trading but if you can't beat them you can do some strategies to earn even if the market is manipulated by the whales. You can possibly surf with the whales when they are hoarding the market. You can really earn without competing with the whales. Many traders are surfing the waves just like others and not going beyond the greediness of other traders.

it's worth it but unless if you are expert in trading or let say you have more experienced about it.  Because that's the most important in order to win on that competition..  Being lack is very dangerous mate so before planning to jump in it , make sure you are ready to face all the obstacles 'cause you know repenting always happened at the end. So ensured  everything will be fine while you're still planning  before making final decision.
No you are wrong, in most trading competitions i have seen it doesn't matter if you are good or not at trading, all you have to do is just participate and you will be given out rewards from the pool just for participating, the higher the $$$$ you use in trading competition the higher your reward

It's +EV, because at the end of the day, you're not losing anything.

Sure, you may have to conduct KYC, but if the exchange platform that you are doing that on is legitimate and regulated, I don't see a problem with that. There is no barrier to entry, thus there is no element of negative expected value.

Whether or not it's worth your time is doubtful, though. I wouldn't be counting it as an income source, but in your spare time, it could be a fun activity that can win prizes for you here and there occasionally. I've personally seen people profit from completely free competitions from Zebpay and the like.

If you know to yourself that you have the capability and skills on trading, you can go and participate. But if you are just a beginner only in trading industry, I think you are just killing your investment unto it. Because most of the participants in there have knowledge and idea in trading. Yes, it may give you a profit but it can also melt your budget once you made the wrong move whether in selling or buying.
But this was just all my opinion, it is still up to you dude.

For small time traders and newbies in trading, you better stay out of this trading competition. Sure, the prize pool sometimes is really big that you are thinking of joining even if you are not really a full time trader. But that is the danger. When you take the bait of the prize pool and risk for it for the sake of having the smallest chance to take a slice, you are already defeated. This is perfect for big time traders.

It would be good for traders as you will be able practice skill in terms of analyzing graphs but I think this kind of competetions are not good for newbies as possibility of getting rekt. The main goal of this is basically to gain volumes and exposure for those traders who only do techincals without doing research.

i never try it before, and i know people that join on trading competition must be know all about trading and experienced. many exchanger use this method to promote their place, to increase that volume. many people lose and gain coin here, but i appreciate to both of them, it have good idea to improve or show trader skill, and trader can earn profit as much as possible. both of them get the advantages

Trading competition is a good way to promote your coin, but I think they are mostly unfair. If a guy has 100 BTC, he can win almost every single competition just buy doing 2-3 trades and it does not matter on what exchange he does that.

You are right. Trading competitions seem profitable for people who have big capitals only. They have the power to eliminate small traders in every competitions. Poor for small traders and big chances for big traders, this is the weakness in trading competition.

if you have a lot of money and time to trade it's very worth it if you want to take part in competing trading and also you have to be really expert in the world of trading so as not to lose, right now there are a lot of markets that hold trading commissions and the prizes are pretty good.  if I have the capital to trade maybe I will also follow it .. I think promoting through trading competitions is not a good thing because some people want to take part in those times but do not fully understand trading. So that what happens is only reduced assets. And this is also only limited to those who have funds, not to the general public who do not have funds. The winner will definitely have a lot of capital and is good at trading. The campaign should be free without issuing anything in order to create fair demands. Trading competitions only create temporary demand, in the sense that the volume of the coin expands during the period of competition and certainly the volume will drop dramatically after the competition ends. Can we call this fake volume?

in my opinion the trading competition carried out by several ICO / IEO projects is very good because this method can attract investors and traders to buy and sell using these coins ... so as to be able to boost sales until it reaches hardcap ... as has been done by the BCNEX project so that their project reaches Hardcap (88%) by holding several competition trading sessions ...
it's not true, they doing trading session caused by bcnex is a new exchange site service and that's a normal thing to see this exchange site tried to promote its own exchange site through create some competititons to attract the traders but it maybe different when it comes to the coin promotion.
Trading will become a short term promotion only and it will be gone after the competition has ended. Bcnex is not a good example to be used as a representation in this case.

Trading contests can affect the coin both positively and negatively. Usually the price afterwards always tends to go down, especially when they give big rewards.

Trading competition is a good way to promote your coin, but I think they are mostly unfair. If a guy has 100 BTC, he can win almost every single competition just buy doing 2-3 trades and it does not matter on what exchange he does that.
But it's not worth the reward that already available in the contest compared with how much money that must be used to win the competition. Remember about you must try to create such an accumulation with the chance to get a loss.
If that guy used 100 BTC and he will be winning the contest instantly and remember the reward for the first place winner is only a few bitcoin but average is around a half of bitcoin.
