The bot that I'm talking about is Gunbot, and you have the opportunity to see what it can do and see the other features it has to offer. I can assist you if you want.
As I know, you used this bot many years ago (probably more than 4 or 5 years) because I remembered when I saw you on the forum years ago, you already mentioned that you used Gunbot and if my memory is correct, there were times you even wore signature of Gunbot.

Anyway, I know Gunbot is good  Cheesy

Some other bots for references for OP is given by Ratimov in [BIG LIST] Crypto Trading Bots

Is there any way of  setting up a parameter that would automatically send me a notification on all coins on binance that hit the indicator that I'm looking for?

I think there must be, any pointers, greatly recieved.

Kind Regards

I think you need binance API to do this implemented to other apps to give you an alert when your indicators reach the point that you are wishing for.
And as i know binance don't giving away their API to public, maybe someone need to request the API to the binance support to create this kind of alarm application for trading helper. I don't see any kind of this application that related to binance market right now.

However I seem to be spending forever looking through 100s of coins to find a perfect buy opportunity.
You can use a trading bot so you could scan pairs that would satisfy your existing strategy.

For example, if you are using four emas, you are just waiting for them to cross each other; you could automate it and then select the market pairs you want, and it would trade for you. You need to set up the trading limit (which is the amount of capital you deal per trade), then just be updated in Telegram. You can also set coins and strategies through Telegram. It makes your life easier.

Yes, gunbot for one is a good trading bot, although you will have a learning curve in the beginning before you can learn how to used it properly, but the support is superb.

As for finding a gem, isn't it the challenge though? I mean it will all be satisfying that after scanning so many coins out there and you narrow it down to just a few and it turns out that your hunch in correct and it become one that gives you huge profit, I think that is going to be worth in the end.

Moving average indicators work very well in trending markets. However they will chop you to bits in ranging markets, especially on the lower time frames.

So depending on which coin you back tested, let’s say SOL. Which has pretty much went up the entire year. Any MA combination which was long would of worked out fairly well.

However if the markets start to range it won’t work as well.

Most trading platforms have something like this already so you just need to check how it works and configure it so you receive notification on your phone and then you can make the trade you want, another option is that if you do not find what you are looking for then you could code your own script that does that and that sends you a notification to your phone as well, it may sound hard but honestly it is not, as long as you take your time to do things right.

If what you want is trading signal notification Binance already has that feature you just need to explore or do what Charles-Tim suggested above.

If you want a more advanced tool then I suggest you check tradingview you need to search for those coins and put them all in your watch list and set the parameter under the chart of each coin with alerts. It works on my phone as an alert I don't know if their web version will work the same but if the signal notification you are looking for is a web version you can try the web version.

Ok, I tried to check and it seems that they also have an alert but it's a popup notification or option to alert through your phone.

I have only recently started investing in crypto markets (I am aware now isnt the perfect time, but I currently have plenty of spare time to learn).

I am using binance to trade and slowly learning spot trade interface. I have found a trading strategy which I feel quite comfortable with (4ema indicators).
What you said and what you are doing are different.

  • Investment vs trading: they are totally different.
  • Please share, how did you manage your capital for investment and trading? Have you separated your capital for investment and trading? Have you mixed them into one and sometimes you invest, sometimes you trade?

It is very bad if you mix your capital for trading and investment because they are different and require different strategies to complete with success.

only 4ema? If i were you mate learn more techniques because that can't help you to be honest.. Watch some videos in YouTube instead because surely you can get more ideas and techniques when it comes  indicators.. Infact there's a bunch of useful indicators in trading view, just invest time for it. Wherein instead of seeking for trading signals as well because it cannot guarantee a good win rate all the time.. Search these indicators, MACD, BOLLINGER, AND 3 MOVING AVERAGE, RSI. Since they're very popular indicators and for sure it can help you alot.

This may not relate to your question but just an advice.

Research for coins of interest. Add them to your favorites. You can set an alert for the coins at a specific price you target. On Binance, 10 alerts for each coins at once and 50 maximum for different coins. If 10 set for a specific coins, 50 is still the maximum in total.

Know that trading is very risky, do not trade with the amount of money you can not afford to lose.
