Holding is the best strategy for a longterm investment strategy. Maybe you can`t sell at x2 and then buy at x0.5, but during the time - different coins can give you much profit for just holding (x10 and more).

This is what I've telling to the people that are asking me about trading that if they don't know what they're doing, they must study about it first. They are thinking that it is an easy thing and they will have an assurance that they'll get more than their capital. I'm sorry for your loss, that's a total of your 6 months lost and if that happens to me I will definitely suffer and can't have a good sleep for several months. I had an experience of lost but not that this much.
we need to learn not only from perceptions of other who made it successfully but also learned more precautions before trying to do it with an
actual balance like what all of us here which already experience such loss we learn from the hard ways.

in the world of trading the key is a patience, if you can not do that then you will lose, and if you take action to hold the coin up to several years to come it is a good action like investment.

Yesterday I just lost 1.8k USD, maybe in USA or in West Europe that's doesn't much, but here in my shitty country that's a f* big amount of money. Here the minimum wage is ~ 300 USD / month. So that's like 6 month of work if I cut my bread and water and live on air. Half of my saving were other investments, but anyways... I'm feeling shitty right now. Oh, and I break my laptop. So yeah, that's another - 500 usd.

I though I can trade. Buy low, sell high. Sounds good, doesn't work.

Looking at the charts and candle sticks and watching old bitcoin values, and huge spikes (pump, I saw here how people uses the pump word, daaaamn...) I was... yeah, I can totally do that. I'll just buy when it's low, and sell it when it reaches the top. Well, I was wrong. You can't see the future, otherwise everyone would be a millionaire. That would be true if you would have a delorean from '85 with Emmett Brown and Marty Mcfly and you could f* travel in future and see the PUMPS!!!1

So anyone who will read this message (noobs like me) if you don't have any trading experience, don't do it. There are expert traders who know how this market works, when to buy and when to sell. Don't assume your skills by watching youtube videos and reading "daily indexes and predictions" of how the price will rise or go down by shitty sites. That's just dumb. You don't know what's gonna happen. Maybe a little bit of luck, or I don't know.

So yeah, from now on, I'll just leave the trading area for experts and I will invest in bitcoin by buying every 2 week or monthly and saving into my wallet. And one day (I hope so) the price will rise and I will buy for my self a delorean.

Cheers!

yes of course if you can not do short term trading the right choice is to play long term, safer because not too fooled by the price in the market.

Yeah , you are right anyone without a trading experience should not jump right into trading. I am also a noob to trading but I'm learning more and more everyday. If you are a noon like me and want to get a good trading knowledge then I would suggest you try Quickfinger Luc's YouTube video course . So far its the best trading course I have come across its also free.

U need to be extremely patient in this crypto game and don't buy without doing ur own research...

Being patient is everything, and have the knowledge to buy BTC for the long term because it's supply is key. Play with 10-15% alts if you're feeling lucky.
Patience. That is always the key most especially for altcoins. I ihave held a coin for a month plus before after making a buy and it refused climbing up. As long as I am sure it isn't a dead coin and it has at least few support, I always leave them. Not all predictions are always right but this is actually safer than rushing to sell for losses.

With anything, dont invest what you cant afford to lose.

Did you research these projects before you purchased?
i agree to you, dont buy any altcoin if you dont want to take the risks.
before you buy some alt you need to know about and that project before you purchased.

That's correct and if you invest in any altcoin blindly without doing any research then you will surely loose money in it so if you don't have any idea about altcoins the best thing would be to buy bitcoin and hold it till the price goes higher in future and sell when you are making good profits from it.
Agreed! Buying and investing in altcoins is something more risky. As far as trading is concerned, I think holding is a very good idea for the one who does not manage things well in trading. But if you want to hold altcoins, then I think you need to review your decision as you may suffer a loss later on.

Crypto currencies really need us to stay patient with them if we want to make big profits. It is never working to our plans or in accordance with our predictions. We really need to be as cool as cucumber to enjoy tremendous profits with bitcoins. Let’s all treat our emotions like visitors.
There is nothing funny about the fact that trading is not an easy task. Many experts often do get to face losses in trading because of one silly mistake. Indeed there are so many online resources but they can only give you knowledge not experience and trading is a practical activity, not a written test.

Very emotional. You need to think that most people experience failure before they gain success. All traders have been through that but only motivated people will be left to win.

trading moves the market and it is necessary for the spreading of bitcoin to the masses. greed is the one that leads you to losing money. remember trading is a zero sum game, for every winner there is a loser. So educate your self, accept your loses and don't be greedy. That way you may end up winning this game.
Very well said! I think it is not the trading which sucks but your own personal interest which plays a vital role in any of the task which you perform. If you are not feeling good while doing trading, better is not to get into it. Holding will be the very much appropriate option in that case.
Absolutely, Lack of availability and how do you trade efficiently will come and etermine your edge in trading and if its still not enough just go back to basic while holding and starting few steps to learn. Many traders enter the market without a proper knowledge the result is not the way we wanted.

I think trading works just fine, maybe you just need to take time reading and studying the basics of trading. For me holding and trading are both effective ways in making profit out of your coins, play it wisely and you will earn plentifully. Take note of why you lost these amount and learn from it and you'll never have the same experience again.

Trading is very risky and it sounded that you are an emotional person which is a big no no in trading. You should have research or at least you should have tried a demo account to know how it works. Well since you already sold and lost the money just do not think about it you will get thw money back one way or another.

I'm really sad. After I'm buying particular coin, after how many hours or days. It keep dumping. Since I started trading. Always loss. All my coins are negative. Almost 50% loss. I'm very sad guys, hoping you guys should study and keep reading.

There is every possibility you did not study the market before buying and you probably bought when the market was being pumped. It is sad to lose but it should be a learning experience. Most altcoins are totally good for being pumped and it is always a mistake to buy when it has been pumped to a very high level. Everyone who bought wants to drop fast for profit and FOMOs like you end up getting fried. Number 1 rule is never to be a FOMO if you want to play safe in trading except you are sure you still have a good standing based on previous market. Best is to buy below previous support level or at least at dips and study some few-days-back chart.
Incase you have no idea what FOMO means (Fear Of Missing Out) ... Grin So you don't think I cursed you... Grin
