I am a trk coin owner since dec 2017, it is a very good staking coin, after a lead time of 9 days it pays outs coins consistently throughout the day. Wallet works very stable, never had a crash. I measured it to put out 100% a year interest, it is a better alternative than mining (less electricity costs). O for newcomers, just ignore the Windows security warning, it is a false positive.

I noticed that on coinmarketcap the picture (logo) of the TRK coin looks low-res, can we make that better?

greeting, Erwin (from the Netherlands)

@noise23

Looking forward to the multisend feature on the next release. Do you have any serious development plans? i.e. mobile wallet, marketing, point of sales apps etc....

Noise23 you said it is ok to run the old mac wallet for now as you have not had resource or time to make a new mac update. I am presuming there is still no problems that I will experience; loss of coin, interest, ect. by continuing staking with mac v.1.0.0.0?
Yes it's safe to continue staking with mac v.1.0.0.0 for now. In worst-case scenario there is a slim chance that it can fork and you will need to re-sync but it's very unlikely, should work fine.
Next wallet release will include a new mac version with all updates.

Thank you

TRK source code updated to v1.1.0.0 - mandatory!

This is a mandatory update, please build with the new v1.1 source at https://github.com/noise23/truckcoin
Will post Windows and Linux binaries tomorrow.

For those of us who are not programmers does this mean your going to post a wallet upgrade v.1.1.0.0. ?
Will it be an automatic upgrade with download?
What exactly will I have to do?
I am running a mac pro.
Oh, also, are the problems at Cryptopia the reason for the update.

Yes i'm going to post a wallet upgrade v.1.1.0.0
No new wallet for mac available yet as i can't build mac wallet by myself but it's ok to run an older mac wallet version for now.

The problems at Cryptopia is not the reason for this update, i still have no idea what's going on with Cryptopia wallet, support tickets not answered yet and i don't know any other way to contact them regarding wallet issues or upgrade.

This version release is to fix timedrift vulnerability and make TRK wallet ready for the new staking code.
Next version with new staking engine will follow in March.

Firstly you have to enable coin control it'll say for experts only. Just search through the settings and you will find it no problem, and check the box. Then, in the same place you send coins, you'll notice a few new options.

It's very easy to figure out for yourself. When you split blocks always put your receiving address and copy the after fee, then send to yourselt and viola.

Your understanding is somewhat correct yes. You should break up most of your blocks into 2000-2200 and you will get 200 TRK at current difficulties.

As for staking daily, that all depends on how many blocks you have, the more blocks you have the more TRK you will stake over time.

Don't use big blocks.
Example: trk block size 20,000
Your reward is 200trk.

You will stake faster but you only get 200trk. Essentially you're losing out with such big blocks.

Use 'small' blocks
Example: trk block size 2100
Your reward should be 200trk

Trk has a maximum block size which is 200, so it's better to put the most minimum amount per block to get the maximum reward. I'd recommend 1900 to 2300 at the moment. I like to differ between 1900-2300 because when they split sometimes I get lazy and miss looking by a day or 2 and the block is already aged, so I'll still get a decent reward for that block.

It can get pretty strategic.

Since you've been staking for 2 years you may already have quite a lot of split blocks, all with ages etc. You can use those once they finish staking to start getting optimum rewards.

Thanks for this guide.

Hi Truckers!

I'm staking TRK almost 2 years now, but just now I read about a block size and splitting coins....

Can someone dummy guide how to stake TRK?

If have understood correct, I can send 10x2000trk in my wallet and I got daily around 1000trk?

Not specifically for TRK, but this might help you. HYP was forked from Truck.

Maybe someone can make a Truck wallet video tutorial and add it here: https://www.crypto-city.com/index.php/trk-truck-coin/video/

TRK trading volume on Cryptopia is extremely low, everybody staking or because it is a under the radar coin?

For splitting blocks I recommend searching on youtube on how to split blocks with Hyperstake coin, it is quite similar because Hyperstake is a derivative from Truckcoin chain.

Hi, is it necessary to divide our total TRK into block of 5000-6000 TRK (as Okcash)?

Yes to get a higher reward it's better to split into blocks.

Thank you for your answer. And what is the optimum block size?
The maximum reward is 200 TRK per block. If I split my TRK into 5 blocks, the maximum reward will be 200x5 = 1000 TRK for the whole wallet?

I'd recommend not going over 2200-2500 block size. You can even go to 1900 sometimes and still get 200 TRK. It does get rather tedious after a while though constantly messing around with your block sizes.

Anarchy is not chaos.
@Noise

Will the next update include multisend?  Grin

I'm assuming you're talking about a function inside the qt, because the basic daemon already has sendmany.

MultiSend is a rebuild of what used to be called Stake For Charity (s4c). It automatically sends some percentage of stake reward to a different address(es).

Oh Cheesy

This is what happens when I post without coffee. Thanks for the clarification.

Welcome back to cryptoland Smiley

Thanks Cheesy My departure wasn't entirely voluntary.
