As far as I know you can use the Tron chain only in wallets like Trust wallet and Tron link. Metamask doesn't support this chain. On Metamask you can work only with chains that are connected with Ethereum. For example BSC or Polygon that is a sidechain upon Ethereum. You could notice that the address on your Metamask starts with 0x, and it suits all these chains. But in Tron your address starts with TV, so no connection to Metamask.

hi i have some problem.. i accidentally sent my TRON to my metamask wallet.. is there any way i can retrieve it? 🥺🥺
I am afraid that no, you can't.
Metamask doesn't support this chain.
When you send tokens that are not supported on this chain or exchange you just lose them. And you can return them only when this token appears on it. And to send from one chain to another you need bridges, but do not just send your coins.

As there is no support neither on Metamask nor on the Tron chain, you can't even ask for help. It is always your responsibility.

Can someone tell me how to run Tron network on metamask wallet or this isn't possible? Since RSK mainnet and BSC are possible on metamask why not Tron so before doing anything stupid that's why I think I should ask you guys

Tron Network is different and has no resemblance to Ethereum that's why it is not supported on Metamask yet, while the RSK, Polygon, BSC, and others are an identical copy of Ethereum because their codes are base on Ethereum thats why their address started in 0x, By the way, dont make things more complicated just choose another wallet that supports Tron network any other than Metamask. the good one is the Trust wallet, Imtoken, Tokenpocket and many more.

metamask is a browser extension, if you want to use dapps you can use TRONLINK as that's for TRON. if the team however can make an update to metamask where TRC assets can be stored there is nothing wrong with that. its going to be convenient for crypto users for they can import all their assets to just one browser extension that's a good development.

No, TRON network is not compatible with Metamask. Metamask is specially made for using with Ethereum network but as BSC network is compatible with Ethereum format and addresses, BSC chain and it's token could be used with Metamask with a workaround. Tron follows a different blockchain and address format and has it's own set of wallets and extensions.

For now Metamask only supports, RSK, BSC.  In the future, it's possible that Metamask can support the Tron network.  Tron is also one of the oldest and most advanced networks.  With the cheapest fees and fast transactions for now.  I think Metamask deserves to update the tron network.
But it all depends on the progress of the metamask itself.  It's possible that the metamask of updating the system is wider and higher.  Because in the world of cryptocurrency nothing is impossible.  Everything is possible with the advancement of the cryptocurrency wallet itself.

Tron was using the different protocol combined with the different hash and it's not the same like ethereum. BSC and RSK were using the same hash that usedby ethereum and that's why both can be used on the metamask.

Tron is not able to be added to the metamask as it has a different configuration. You will never able run tron on  metamask forever until tron will become ethereum compliant like BSC and RSK

Metamask wallet so far does not support the TRX network in other uses or use one that supports both so that the coins are not lost in the world or somewhere

for now it may not be for tron in metamask , I don't know the day after tomorrow
but it might not be realized because the tron network does not support metamask. if you want to use a multichain wallet, I recommend using a trustwallet which is easier
in the future tron will still stay not compatible with metamask, metamask was created with ETH in mind and if a chain have similar structure with ETH (with the RPC and stuff) then it could work.
other than that metamask might as well create another app specifically made for tron.
If tron decide to alter their whole blockchain then that's possible as well but that's not likely to happen.

That is correct. Metamask was originally created for managing ETH balances and wallets of users but it later added support for other eth chain so users don't need to go for another wallet in order to interact with other chains. Before TRON was moved to Mainnet, Metamask was supporting it at that time as it was still an ERC-20 token. Now, it's TRC-20 only wallets like Tronlink would support TRON asset.
I do not know about the support of Metamask wallet for Tron before but I just know that Tron is not supported by Metamask. I have never used Metamask wallet before and I do not know if it supports BEP20 which some posters have included above, but BEP20 can also be good for USDT, but I prefer TRC20 though which also have very low transaction fee unlike ERC20.

Each chain has their own specific networks and wallets to be used. For Tron, there are a lot of wallets that supports it and that's why you don't have to look for Metamask on it.

Example of Metamask for Tron is Tronlink.

Tron has its own blockchain network such as stellar, waves while metamask only supports the eth network and its derivatives starting with 0x...such as, Erc, Bsc, Phantom , maybe also Hecochain. so I think that's why tron can't be used in metamask

Metamask does not support TRC20. Because there is no collaboration between Metamask and Tron. But why BEP20 can run on Metamask, because BEP20 works with Ethereum network. Metamask is Ethereum's base network, but only needs to change Mainnet if running BEP20.

Metamask wallet is an ERC20 tokens wallet, not for TRC20, I will suggest you to use TrustWallet that support both (ERC20 and TRC20) and also supporting BSC (BEP20)

Yes. Trust Wallet support with all crypto networks. So that all tokens can be transferred to the Trust Wallet based on the smart contract of each platform. It's just that we need to create a multi-coin Trust Wallet. We can store tokens from Eos and Waves smart contracts.

I've never tried it either, although Metamask is a multi-functional wallet, and Tron also has its own wallet App that everyone can use,
so not many people ask about this in the forums.

Metamask Doesn't support tron network. It only supports BEP20, ERC20, Matic Network, Harmony and some more. I searched your question on Google " Why Metamask doesn't support Tron network?" But I didn't get any information correct. If you are looking for multichain wallet then you should use Trust Wallet because it support all Networks. If you want only Tron good wallet then you can use Tronlinkpro and klever.

I think it's not possbile, I'm not an expert though but metamask use different source code and only support Ethereum-Forked Coin/Token or anything related so it's normal since RSK & BSC basically was forked from Ethereum and use same source code and address but with only some improvisation, Maybe you can try to use Tronlink if you want to connect to Tron-Based dApps, Please correct me if i'm wrong, Cheers!

Tron was not ethereum compliant and that will never possible to use tron on metamask. Any blockchaint that alreadyt ethereum compliant can use metamask. You must remember this if it's not all of the blockchain can be ethereum compliant. You must see the specification of tron blockchain first.

You can not do that but there is another extinction wallet like metamask that can be used for the Tron network. You can use the Tronlink app extinction which is available for Google Chrome, Brave, and Firefox Browser. It also supports dApps for Tron network and multi wallets functionality. Its similar to Metamask and very easy to use.

For google chrome and Brave user: Extenction link
