there will be pros and cons to all policies related to social media, because after all social media is the fastest way that can be sent and known. but the state will do what is deemed able to defuse the situation so that it can be controlled by shutting down or temporarily closing social media. and that is legitimate because for the greater interests will certainly be done by every country without exception the US.

Twitter, like Facebook and Youtube, has become a method for socially directing the masses into a one-world government. The fact that they are censoring anything proves this.

Cool

Personally, I don't see anything in Trump's words that would violate Twitter rules.

Maybe Twitter administration thinks it can stop looters with just one word, but angry crowds are unlikely to hear any words and obey control.

Twitter has their own TOS even any president is not exempted to that, but sometimes twitter is going over board with their censorship, since Trump is a billionaire he might want to create a twitter like platform so no one can censor his speech that many are just hate and useless speech.

This title is sensationalist and you know that Juggy, please don't continue to do this.

What Donald Trump has said he'll do to Twitter is without a doubt wrong, but the guy isn't planning on shutting down twitter. He's just thretaning them because he's angry with them -- yet again, totally not a smart thing to do and I don't think anyone agrees with him on this.

Twitter also did wrong - I mean, are you really going to start fact checking everything that every politician / public servant says on your platform? Things are going to get interesting fast as you elevate yourselves to the role of the world thought ministry.

so
2 sides

A. a private company wanting to correct idiots/liars/scammers
B. a government leader wanting to censor anyone that disagree's with the leader

i know trump likes to fire any employee that disagree's or tries correcting his stupidity.
explains why people like Brix acted like a trump sock puppet. fearing her job if she just corrected him on stage about injecting bleach/swallowing lightbulbs
but now he wants to sue anyone else not in his employee that disagrees with his stupidity

seems like B is north korea and A is just educating the dumb

In my opinion, Twitter, YouTube and some other popular social networks have long introduced very strict censorship that protects their interests. They don't care about our rights. They don't even bother to make sense of cases when they remove some content for no reason.

Personally, I think Trump is overstepping his authority. If he sets the precedent that a president can jump in and control a company, where is the limit? Why won't he jump in with his troops and regulate your life, like Communism, right in your house?

Regarding Twitter, it doesn't bother me what Twitter does. You birdbrains out there can tweet around all day long. If you don't like what Twitter is doing, quit using it. Or do you think that politics tells the truth better than Twitter?

Cool

us government is the government of the us, if a company becomes to influential, a government wouldn't be one if it would continue to be passive.

many liberal social media institutions in the west have been soft since a long time.

europe got literally punished for having a soft police on minorities.

Eastern Europe has Communism. Good, right?     Cool

jes but that doesn't mean they will accept migrants, they think those migrants are racists

Many countries accept migrants, even if they are racist. All you are saying is that they are country racist by not accepting migrants who they think are racist.

If the people don't do it themselves, the country isn't going to survive. Get rid of the police, and let the people do their own policing.

Cool

why? thats nonsense, and less efficient, a professional police can be much more efficent and productive than a bunch of crop farming people.

besides people doing their own policing will end up in anarchy and the law of the strongest like in wilderness.

developed societies have specialisations and professinals in order to be more productive

We don't want professional police. Why? They follow orders of the government, even when they are acting on behalf of the people. It's why the Constitution and Amendments were built against a standing army; let the army be called into arms when necessary. But let it not be active where it can be called against the people.

So-called anarchy isn't bad. In fact, all it is, is a simpler form of government. Governments are people. However, as you said, "people doing their own policing will end up in anarchy..." And that is what government is. Anarchy by people. They don't obey their own laws when they get as big as they are.

We might need professionals in policing, but the more professional they are, the more we have to be prepared for them when they try to become dictatorial. Ultimately, when police turn against the people they are supposed to protect, production goes down. All we need to do to see this is to look at Soviet Russia in the late 1980s.

The solution is too easy:

IFF Jewtube and Twatter censor ANYTHING at all THEN they are responsible for EVERYTHING put on their platform if it has been on-line for long enough for even one person to view it.  This because if they are editing content at all then they are not a neutral service provider and should not get the (very legitimate) legal indemnification associate with that role.

There is a movement afoot to make the internet no longer a 'real time' system.  Any content needs to be checked by AI and/or hall monitoring nannys before it can go live.  This is being pushed by the ADL to address the anti-semitism which, as we all can see, is so rampant in society that goyim without sufficient social credit scores will not be granted real-time privileges.  So, if Joogle, Twatter, and Facefuck want to go into 'content-check delay' mode, that's fine with me.  I don't and never did use their shitware platforms anyway because anyone who had their eyes open for the last several decades could see where this thing is going.

whoever then codes that AI will brainkill enslave entire generations till they rebell against it.

I would describe Twitter deciding to “fact check” Trump as reckless and a display of very bad judgement. Their “fact check” article was not even accurate.

Further, Trump is someone who was elected to office legitimately with nearly 100 million votes, while some idiot at Twitter with a degree in communications (worthless degree) who is not elected to anything is giving his opinion equal weight.

This is probably the most extreme example of poor judgment caused by “orange man bad” I have seen. IMO, this is something Jack Dorsey and the idiot from twitter should be fired over.

It’s an open secret that Trump doesn’t likes his authority being challenged, and if anyone tries to challenge him then he believes that he has to crush that person/organisation to set an example for others, and hence I’m not surprised that he’s declared war on Twitter after Twitter decided that it would fact check two of his tweets.

It’s also worth mentioning that he’s very angry with them that he’s decided to sign a order to either shut them down, or to regulate them ...

Hey, does that mean we can have FactCheck on Biden too?

No?

Why?

Pretty deafening silence there, guys....
