I told you guys back when I was lobbying for Trump (or against Clinton) that Trump would be negative about Bitcoin just because of his nature.

At that time I could only guess whether Trump was or was not a tool and a puppet of the Kabbalahists who currently control global money supplies.  This crowd is certain to be highly negative about crypto because it drains their power base.  Now that we know that Trump is their bitch so of course he's going to be negative.

It's funny because there's a loud minority here that'd support Trump regardless of his view of bitcoin.

Those who own the current debt-based system could easily buy controlling interest in Bitcoin, and even more easily buy enough to make it perpetually unstable.   Have at it Hoss...We the peeps will just switch to something else if/when you do and your money went down the toilet.  'Re-distribution of wealth' so to speak.

Not a 'checkmate' because they have some really nasty options, but a less than pleasant position for Mnuchin's folk/tribe Smiley

Trump is very anti against crypto currencies BTC to Libra, he even stated that Crypto is not a currency. Trump's chirping through his Twitter account, for him unregulated crypto currency assets can be used to support various things that are illegal. therefore he requires companies that establish crypto currencies to get bank charter, and ensure they are subject to US regulations. his original intention was good considering he was the president of America, so professionally put forward the benefits and security of his country

He don't even care... He has so much money that it is not a deal for him.
He just try to be against cryptocurrencies in general in order to be against of Libra because he doesn't like Facebook.

Me never paid attention to the statements of the Trump and would not take them seriously, but nevertheless we see the real results of his words when the cryptocurrency market inadequately reacted to his statements addressed to Bitcoin.  It seems to me that the support of these words comes not from Trump supporters, but from supporters of chaos in the cryptocurrency market.

There's a lot of mental gymnastics in this thread.  Roll Eyes

It's crazy to see the minority of Trump supporters "defend" this decision on this forum. It's pretty obvious Trump is a moron, yet people try to interpret what he says as though it's some sort of 4d chess move.

Wouldn't be surprised if governments are secretly hoarding bitcoins and alts. Secretly. They wouldn't give it an official endorsement, can't let the people realize they are getting duped with their paper that losses quite some value annually.

I think this is just a manipulative strategy to bring the price of bitcoin down so they can dive in and accumulate it. Facebook is already entering the crypto market so definetly USA will adopt crypto

A possibility. Maybe the central bank is secretly buying up crypto. I mean, private banks are already trying to get in the action so why not central banks?

Trump can try to ban bitcoin. If successful, the ban could have a material impact on the technology’s value. But, he won’t.

Just saw this sentence in an article. Can Trump really ban bitcoin if he wants to?

Donald Trump couldn't spell blockchain w/three tries.  This is purely a ploy to devalue it, as it's a threat to his besties at banking companies like Goldman Sachs and others.  It's also likely a similar ploy as Warren Buffet deploys.  Buffet is an investing legend, but he doesn't have a clue either how cryptocurrency and cryptography work. Their hate is an obvious move to protect the billions they have invested in the banking system.  They both have ownership is so many things tied to the value of the dollar, it's a pretty easy decision for these dinosaurs to spew propaganda.

I don't think so! Though Trump is a businessman, he may not have an interest in bringing bitcoin down to buy cheap. What he has done to bitcoin is bring it into subjects of debates and to find out the mind of his fan about it. Trump has many tools at his disposal to use in bring bitcoin price down without altering a word but I think this is a political comment with the aim of knowing the role bitcoin will play for the next elections. If he speaks against bitcoin and his opponent for bitcoin this might change the voting part of bitcoin enthusiasts.
