Trust wallet no doubt na one of the most popular wallet for Nigeria especially for people wey just just dey look for watin dem go use put or receive coin fast fast but not a recommended wallet for Bitcoin investor wey plan save their coin for long period.

In the meantime i have had no issues using trust wallet.

The reason for the popularity of trust wallet then came from the fact that they actually were one of the earliest wallets in the cryptocurrency space and whenever an event or airdrop comes on they simply ask one to actually download the trustwallet then because it was easier to navigate then and since it was a multi chain wallet many started using it. The whole binance suggestion of using it was later exposed as they later were discovered to have either bought hold of it or were the actual owners.

Trustwallet is an old fashioned wallet with scams easily accessible to coupled with the other limitations I wouldn’t advice anyone to use them but rather go for other wallets. Each blockchain have dedicated wallet now for their storage with the likes of bitcoin having electrum and then the also the EVM wallet which is metamask, this are open source and more convincing to use

I no know how you take get that statistics, i know say trust wallet dey popular, but me i no go advise you make you use am keep your bitcoins oh, e get better bitcoin wallets wey you go fit use, so e no make sense to use trust wallet.

You suppose DYOR before using a particular wallet, no be binance or any entity suppose tell you wallet wey you go use, na binance get trust wallet, so why dem no go recommend am to you. Wetin you suppose dey look out for when searching for a wallet na if e dey open source, non-custodial and if e get security and privacy features like passphrase, coin control, rbf, cpfp, etc.

Even if Trust wallet may not be the most safest way of storing our funds but they deserve to be congratulated because they have been very helpful to the Nigerians in terms of usage because anybody who started crypto newly the first thing that comes to there mind is installing Trust wallet on there smart phones and based on the flexibility is very easy to use and so far I have not really heard of someone who lost there assets inside as they are holding on there Trust wallet unless those that mistakenly exposed there privacy to the public, however based on how popular and common Trust wallet is on the Nigerians most people have forgotten other custodian wallets.

Trustwallet has coin control? No. Trustwallet is open source? No. Trustwallet has multisig? No. Trustwallet is supporting RBF? No. Trust wallet is supporting CPFP? No

As a bitcoin user, trust wallet is not a recommendable wallet. For altcoins, there are alternatives. I prefer Unstoppable wallet which is open source and supporting many coins.

omo. Na trust wallet I first de use for my Bitcoin oh. I been just choose am randomly no be based on say I too like am or say I sabi how e really de work like that, I just choose to make use of am because say na the wallet j first know, when e reach to transfer Bitcoin from the wallet eh, the matter just weak me wetin no nice, the fee de too high and you no go even say make you for wait make e calm down. Plus the way them de take do thier update too often no come de make sense like that cause after some of those update, e go come be like say the security if your asset in their possession no de guaranteed again. The recent update when them do finish come de tell users to back up thier seed phrase for an offline source na him just follow tire me for the trust wallet if not na him be wetin I de used to.

7th anniversary no be small feet and to know say as Nigeria when no de carry last, we still follow for most of her active users follow show the same Extent of acceptance of crypto for this we country and even if binance say make them check list of most active country for thier platform, you go know say we still full inside regardless of sah them don delist naira from the exchange.

So far trustwallet app has been the most widely used crypto currency app with an swap in one wallet between currency that are supported on the app. I think earlier this month when I opened my app it displays but since I don't store my coin there it's no use to me celebrating them or posting them here in the forum and besides they are not open source wallet.

So, I switched to a open source which is electrum wallet it's more safer and reliable to use than trust wallet just that electrum doesn't support multiple wallet as trust that is why trustwallet is widely and mostly used as a multipurpose wallet.
