Trust wallet is one of the safest crypto wallets, it never had an issue like the Binance exchange! You can save the phrase code on a paper wallet and through those private codes, you can get access to your trust wallet account by any smartphone! So, don't lose those phrase codes and keep them offline to make sure 100% safety. If you have 130 USD, then buy a ledger hardware wallet. There is nothing safer than a hardware wallet.
You are right, in my opinion Hardware Wallet is safer than trust wallet on a smartphone, because smartphones can be affected by phishing, malware or other viruses that can penetrate smartphone security. But it also depends on whether smartphone users always ensure smartphone security. Wallet hardware such as Ledge Nano S, Trezor and others can better secure your assets from breaking into the wallet

yes trustwallet is very safe in my opinion as long as you don't change the private key (eth, bnb, or others) it can still be transferred to another smartphone or you can use a passphrase that is like a private key but the passphrase is more dominant easy words Keep in mind, but you must store both the above private key and passphrase very carefully, if not then you have to be really resilient because the assets that are in the private key and passphrase cannot be saved.

I am using Trust Waklet on my handphone. Basically it stores all my coins. But I wonder is it safe? What if my phone crash. What if I buy a new phone and need to transfer the wallet over? Is there any best practices for Trust Wallet. This is basically my entire fortune and I am trying to be as safe as possible

You must save the Trust Wallet phrase. When you use a new cellphone then you can use it again. I think Trust Wallet is safe. Because many official and trusted platforms recommend Trust Wallet.

The important thing is you keep your passphrase safe and you are able to use that phrase even in different mobile.
I dont think this hardware wallet is needed this can be only use if you have a large balance that you want to stored safetly. You can use online wallet if this is only small portion of investment  for BTC or ETH .

Yes you can trust the wallet, i have been using it for sometimes now and its flawless, no issues till date, you need to backup your private keys that's the only way you won't lose your fund, you can try other wallets like coinomi or enjin wallet

You need not worry too much. As far as I know Trust Wallet has maximum security. If it makes you feel better, It's actually owned by Binance Exchange. And I don't need to lay emphasis on how funds stored with Binance related subsidiaries are #SAFU (Safe). Even though Trust Wallet is fully secured and takes the heavy load off security, You still have a role to play. One thing you can do from your end is ensuring that you don't share your private keys or worse, misplace them.

I hope you are not using IPhones? because you are not safe if you are, if you are using android phone then you are safe and all you need to do is get the back up of your address, they are in words might be 12 or 16 or even more words, just find a safe place to write down the words

I have used the mobile version of trust wallet for quite some time now and I have not had any issue with it. Although, I a m presently looking for the windows version for my PC. I do not want to download from just any source. Trying to take my time or I contact the team of trustwallet for the right channel. Also, you do not need to store all your assets on trustwallet. I have mine stored on different wallets I feel are safe.

The trust wallet mobile app is really dope, with now embedded exchange feature. Some days back, I was able to buy NPXS via the wallet and it's amazing. Another interest aspect is the DAPP section, I was able to stake SF token via this means. I've backed up my private keys in a safe place anyway, in case I change my phone.

Either trust wallet or other wallets make sure you get your recovery seed, thats the only way to get access to your funds if any thing go wrong e.g lost your phone or it got stolen, you only need your recovery seed and you can import the seed into other wallet and all your funds will be restore

Trust wallet is trustworthy but, I would suggest you instead of buying a phone buy a hardware wallet you it is trustworthy and safe too.
There are many possibilities that phone will be lost, it will be hack or will result in crash of system. The more trusted wallet is hardware wallet since you have the full control, only use other small transactions or not hold coins too long in a wallet or exchange, will never when will they plan to abandon their system.

Trust wallet is very safe , that's one of the mobile wallets I use for some coins. Talking about changing your device or when your device crashes, you should have backup of your mnemonic phrases and private keys somewhere safe.  I'll advise you write them down in a book and keep safe and also store in a USB key.

Trustwallet is the official cryptowallet of Binance. So far its secure and easy the use, you can forget your investments for years their but be sure not to forget to back-up your 12 words phrase. In other words without it your funds will be lost forever.

As per Trust wallet: https://help.trustwallet.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001044893-I-lost-my-backup-what-do-I-do-
Quote
I lost my backup, what do I do?
You can always have multiple copies of your backup, if you think you can store it safely. Any valid Keystore backup (private key/ mnemonic) will get you to the most current state of your wallet. We at Trust Wallet, don’t have access to your wallet or your private key. We are not able to help you recover your backup if you lose your device and your backup. Please make sure you store your backup(s) in a safe place.

I am also one of the Trust Wallet users on my smartphone, and when I replace my smartphone to a new one, I can still use Trust Wallet properly and safely, provided we have a personal wallet key that we store well in other places, such as on a laptop or a computer, or on a hard drive, because on a smartphone just for application use only, while for the wallet key, we need a deposit in another place as a second copy, so that when replacing a new smartphone device, we just import the wallet keyword into the Trust Wallet application on a new smartphone.

Before start using it, it is recommended to make a back up of your wallet in case something wrong happens.
have you created it before? if you have not done it yet, watch their official video here: https://youtu.be/HhxRrse4EcE

go visit their official youtube channel to find out what you need: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrYnRK55nYUDd6flEZ2Kf6g/videos

until now, trust wallet is trustworthy.

Of course it has been doing well for so several years, in terms of safety and security. Those recommended links were helpful in learning the basic ways to handle funds using trust wallet. Before catching those important aspects particular on back up and other steps, don't forget to secure small amount of specific asset you wanted to store with trust wallet. You needed it for the activation of the particular coins that you're going to deposit.
