Faucets : Just waste of time  Angry

You can probably just get a few cents an hour from faucets, so I agree it is a waste of time for most people. But it may make some sense for those in undeveloped countries.

wow your rate for be a faucet is too less "20 satoshi every 1440 minutes."

it would be good if around 500 sat++

No startup faucet, can sustain 500 Satoshi per hour. They will go belly up, after the first week. If you can manage that, you will get a lot of NEW users fast, and you will have to go negative balance, until you get paid.  Wink

With my calculations, if you have a faucet paying 500 Satoshi per hour and you had 100 000 people registered, you will need to have $166 US per hour.
If they only tapped it for a average of 8 times a day =  $1328 per day. {That is why, only BIG guys can fund like that}

Good luck

True, but getting 100k traffic is a lot..! a starting faucet shoudln't get that much in the first weeks..

When last have you seen them pay? They closed the faucet for a while now.

You simply cannot afford, to go big out of the blocks. {It has to grow, as your income grow from advertizing} or you will go "Boom"

Well btc25 started with a high payment rate, attracted a lot of traffics in just a few days after opening and started selling their adspaces at a high price.

PS. Some say it is not paying anymore.

If you want you need make some decent payment(25 satoshi/1440 min  a joke)

I know it doesn't pay much but it also has it's reasons, don't want a lot of traffic only wanted to see that it was paying out OK and that there were no problems. My next faucet will have higher payout (100sat).

Thanks for everyone's advice) Please don't reply to this thread, let it die.

to your faucet has become popular rate must be at least 500 sat .. Sorry but in the beginning you have to invest a little ..

Yes, that would make a faucet popular but I'm not looking for a lot of traffic right now) More into just trying things out at the moment. Not in a hurry) I'd rather have sites that stay up than closed down quickly like so many faucets seem to start with paying 500-1000 sats than you see them gone after few weeks or months.
it is good thinking but you have to remember that no one will come back for 20 satoshi. so you will only have one time visitors who will not come back

It's nice to see you are planning things instead of making too big clumsy steps. That's wise.

I hope your faucet will grow and get better with time, as you get more experienced. As other people have said before, it's important that the faucet pays well in order to attract good traffic.

My suggestion is that you make it fun, by changing it into a game like faucet, lotto, etc.

Success!
