Konyaspor beat Eyüpspor 3-1 and became the leader in the group. Eyüpspor lost the match despite playing the ball more.

Başakşehir beat Çorum FK, an easy opponent, 4-1 and is currently second in the group.

Beşiktaş beat Krıklarelispor 2-0, it was an easy match for them.
They are the leader in the group with 6 points.

The second matches in the group stage of the Turkish Cup started today.

In Group C, Konyaspor made it two from two by beating Eyüpspor and took a big advantage to get out of the group with 6 points.

In Group D Beşiktaş beat Kırklarelispor 2-0 and reached 6 points. Beşiktaş didn't attack much in the first half and scored the goals in the second half. I expected more effort from the players. It was obvious that we would win this match but I expected to see a more ambitious and more attacking game.
Kırklarelispor played Beşiktaş for the first time in their history. The players did their best but the difference in quality showed.

Players who played little time in Beşiktaş's league matches will play against Kırklarelispor in the cup match today.
Beşiktaş is at the top with the quality of its squad, but I wonder what kind of harmony the players will have on the field.
Under normal circumstances, Beşiktaş must score at least 5 goals.
Kırklareli is a team from the two lower leagues and they have been out of form in the last matches, but they can see this match as a showcase match and compete very well on the field.
Generally, players from lower leagues make a good effort to prove themselves in such matches.

Maybe Fenerbahçe could focus on the Turkish Cup as much as possible if we don't manage to catch up with Galatasaray in the Turkish league. We shouldn't finish the season without a trophy. We can't win a trophy since the one we got in the Turkish Cup in the 22/23 season. Sad We could find Beşiktaş against us as the toughest opponent here if they manage to start showing better performances later on. There is Galatasaray too but they don't look good in this cup for now and for years also. That performance against Başakşehir wasn't impressive.

Is very good opportunity for them, in the Turkish League the difference between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce difference 11 points and this is big enough number to chase even though Fenerbahce has 1 match that they have not played, it is still difficult to impossible for Fenerbahce to surpass it considering Galatasaray performance is quite strong and they are very consistent.
Just that here in the Turkish Cup, Galatasaray and Besiktas as well as several other team are also not easy opponents for Fenerbahce if they want to fight for the championship title, the competition will indeed be different from the Turkish League but certainly some of the top team can make it difficult.

It was a very easy win for Fenerbahçe. It was a match where the substitutes showed off their skills but I don't think they did.

You should definitely not bet on the Turkish Cup, Fenerbahçe made it 3-0 in the first half and didn't even play. Many people, including me, lost money tonight.

We won against a team playing with reserve squad indeed. I don't know what would have happened otherwise. Because Kasımpaşa are always full of surprises against big teams of the Turkish league. I wonder what we will do especially against Göztepe if they play with their main squad. But we would finish in top 2 anyway I guess.

Yesterday Galatasaray surprised me by drawing with Başakşehir. They could have even lost the match as well as they got behind 2 times. There was some rotation in the match squad but I thought they would still manage to win. Betting on Turkish Cup matches looks quite risky for now. Sad

Kasımpaşa is competing in the cup with a squad of young players. That's why it was a very easy match for Fenerbahçe. On one side there was a team with a total starting 11 worth only 500k Euro, on the other side there was a huge squad worth 84 million Euro. En Nesyri continued to score goals. Cenk Tosun got the assist. It was a chance for the players who didn't get much chance in the league to show themselves. Fenerbahçe could have won differently. 18-year-old Yusuf Akçiçek scored his first goal for the first team. Bartuğ Elmaz also made good use of his chance. This match is not a benchmark as it was like a training match. It's important to get 3 points in the new format. They have achieved this. Since Gaziantep FK and Göztepe also won, it's already clear that this group will be much more competitive than others.

Fenerbahçe took the field with mostly reserve players, yes, but these players are players who were bought with big money.

They are falling apart on the field. A parenthesis is for Osai. His contract is ending and he wants 2.5 million euros from the club. Fenerbahçe offered 2 million euros. Neither 2 nor 200 thousand euros is more for this guy. He has no crosses, no right-wing attacks, no assists, nothing like that, Turkey is full of players like him. Send them away immediately.
In addition, Kasımpaşa team took the field with the U19 team, a team like Fenerbahçe should score at least 5-6 goals, but they play such indifferent football that their fans will go crazy.
Nothing will happen from this team. If Kasımpaşa had taken the field with the As team, they would have easily defeated Fenerbahçe.

The Başakşehir match showed that Galatasaray's reserves are very bad. Galatasaray urgently need to focus on transfers to ensure success in all competitions. Although the master plan is working perfectly, there are problems with rotation. Okan Buruk should have gone into this game with the starting line up and then turned to the substitutes once he had the scoring advantage, but he tried the opposite.

The good thing about this match for Galatasaray was that the technical team realized where transfers were needed. Because Galatasaray's substitutes are not contributing to the team. Galatasaray will play Başakşehir again this weekend. I think Başakşehir players will be tired in this match because they were on the pitch with a full squad in the cup match. As far as the refereeing is concerned, there were no problems in the match and there were no decisions that would disrupt the flow of the match.

There was a terrible referee, the match was ridiculous, he made ridiculous decisions. Our referees are nothing.

I thought Galatasaray would get such a result because we took the field with the reserve squad. It's a normal result for me.

Bathuayi is playing very badly and he started to play worse every day. He should show himself in such matches, but he doesn't care.
I wasn't surprised that he missed the penalty.

Today, Kasımpaşa and Fenerbahçe will face each other and Fenerbahçe announced yesterday whether they will participate in the cup or not.

This is also strange. Can teams from quality leagues in Europe do something like this? I wonder if they will participate or not?

If both teams played this match with their A teams, Kasımpaşa would win and I would play. Fenerbahçe would participate but mostly as a substitute, I don't know if they will play with the U-19s. Kasımpaşa had previously said they would play with the U-19s but I don't know if they will do something like this against Fenerbahçe.

The Turkish Cup doesn't have a proper system either. Things change every year. It's like a test drive. Even this shows how far behind we are in football. There are 2 more cups in England outside the league. It would be better if they take them as an example and add 1 more cup and the winner of that cup goes to Europe. Of course, since the Super League clubs have the upper hand, no TFF president dares to do this.

There was a Galatasaray-Başakşehir match in the Turkish Cup today and it ended in a 2-2 draw. Mitcy Batshuayi missed a penalty in the last part of the match, Mertens could have used the penalty kick instead. Galatasaray needs to find a solution for defense during the transfer period, we see as many goals as we score.

Başakşehir also played a good match, but there were big mistakes and carelessness in Galatasaray defense, they caught it well.
This is home game for Galatasaray, surprising that they could only get draw against Basaksehir with the advantage on paper, every good chance was to win and all those chances were just complete failure that was completely useless.
Still in the group stage but they performed less than satisfactory, if it continues Galatasaray will not show their quality and impressive match even though they are considered as one of the teams that can compete for the Turkish Cup title.

Başakşehir could have won the match. They fought very well. Many people showed Galatasaray as the favorite, but Galatasaray had a hard time. Also, they missed a penalty in the last minute, Batshuayi can be blamed for this. He could not take a penalty even though he was a forward. Also, goalkeeper Muhammed Şengezer was very successful for Başakşehir. We have to say this. We drew with Galatasaray in the first match in the Turkish Cup. Frankly, I think this was a surprise.

I dont know its like Galatasaray has every match a penalty. This time they got a draw but its still a cup match so they still have time to make things right and go through. Galatasaray has an amazing attack and always makes up for the mistakes in defence but they need to bring some defencive players to make a really good team and that they start protecting their goal.

Başakşehir played well but had to settle for a draw. There were 4 goals, red cards, penalties, everything. Galatasaray took advantage of their large squad. But the penalty they missed in the last minutes was unfortunate for them. I think this is not a bad result for both teams. Depending on the situation of Eyüpspor and Konyaspor, this extra 1 point can even bring them the round.
Trabzonspor and Beşiktaş are currently very advantageous in their group because they beat their direct opponents in the group. All Group B matches will be played tomorrow. The new format doesn't allow for many surprises, but there could still be a big team that doesn't advance from their group.
It was a game that had everything, the goals, bundles of yellow card, red cad, key saves, penalties, but it ended in a draw. Galatasaray was in a sole position to win this game, even got a last minute penalty which was missed by mitchy Batshuayi. It been really hard for him getting much game time, with the arrival of victor osimehn, it was clear that he would struggle to get minute this season, so tournament like this is where he is going to get his minutes and I wish he had scored from the spot. He have 5 league goals already this season, even though he comes from the bench.

Galatasaray will sure qualify from the group stage of the Turkish cup, in this group I don’t see a team that will trouble them that much aside Basaksehir they played today. A point is not bad, all focus will now be on weekend as they still play basaksehir in the league only that this time it away from home. It going to be another tough match for both team and exciting one for spectators.

Beşiktaş beat their tough opponent 1-0 and got their first win.
This win was good for Beşiktaş because they were not doing well in the league.

Antalyaspor beat Kocaelispor 3-1, it was an easy match for Antalyaspor.

Fatih Karagümrük beat Rizespor 1-0 with a goal in the last minute and started the groups well.

The most important match of tomorrow will be the Galatasaray - Başakşehir.

Beşiktaş won their first and in my opinion the most difficult game of the group round and most probably secured their advancing from the group. There is no chance they will lose points in their home game against Kırklarelispor. Therefore, 6 points will be enough to be top 2 in the group. In this group, Sivasspor and Antalyaspor had a chance to advance with Beşiktaş. Sivasspor lost today and reduced their chances even more.
The game wasn't very good but we have to remember that this is a cup match and a group stage. The only aim of the players was to get 3 points and they did that. On Mario's assist, Rafa Silva hit the ball well and scored a clear goal. Other than that, their offensive variations were weak. At least they gained some morale with a win after a bad run in the league.
