With the remaining matches in the remaining season, I think it is too narrow to compete for 4th place, if the team above it is inconsistent or continues to lose in the remainder of this match then it can make Antalyaspor continue to rise. But the consideration, is it possible for them to just give up in the competition and it's very unlikely. Indeed, Antalyaspor is unbeaten in their last 11 matches but unfortunately, this good achievement is too late because there are only 5 matches left to go.
Yeah that's main reason that makes me sad. Antalyaspor could be like this at first half of season. Main squad didn't change a lot, only couple of players arrived to fill bad positions. Fredy and Gökdeniz Bayraktar were both already good players. Especially Gökdeniz when he first arrived to Antalya I remember hype behind him. He will definitely hit top 4 teams at transfer season one day.
Nuri Şahin's idol is Jurgen Klopp. Nuri Şahin and Jurgen Klopp worked together in Dortmund. When Jurgen Klopp became coach in Dortmund, he sent an e-mail to all staff. In the mail, he talked about the importance of all staff for the team. And When Nuri Şahin became coach Antalyaspor, he sends the same e-mail to all staff. Nuri Şahin is currently coaching Antalyaspor like Jurgen Klopp's Dortmund.
That information about the e-mail like Jurgen Klopp, is it genuinely real information? If yes, Nuri Şahin might be really looking up to Klopp and he will probably have the same type of coaching.
Antalyaspor is doing really really good actually. The last game they lost was on 20th of January. Since then, they haven't lost a single game in the super league. 3 draws and 8 wins. They are almost at the same point as Besiktas. Which is quite successful for Antalyaspor. Their future seems really bright with Nuri Şahin. I just hope Antalyaspor Club Management will be strong and long-lasting with their strategy. There might come some time that the results are not good with the new team, but they must be resilient with the Şahin decision and just keep going.
I am not sure if the email stuff is real or not, there are some "news" that says it is real but at the same time how much can you really trust them? But at the end of the day if you watch how antalyaspor plays, they are a very bad version of Liverpool, and back in the day dortmund as well. Which is a proof that he is at least "trying" to play that way.
It is a Turkish team with a few million dollars, not Liverpool with a billion, so obviously the quality is different and you may not see the resemblance since players are not as good as that, and sometimes fails to execute the plan. But the mindset is there, it is pretty much alike with what Klopp does.
