Sivasspor closed the season with the Turkish Cup. I am happy because it has been a good season for them. Smiley My man Max-Alain Gradel! He scored a great goal in the 95th minute with his individual skills (https://twitter.com/aspor/status/1529913614718619649). It's not easy to make that run and that shoot in extra time. Such special performances require extra conditioning. Max-Alain Gradel succeeded in this and became the leading actor in winning the cup for his team. Sivasspor had a tough win but a nice win. Smiley

I am actually a little surprised that neither team got a red card in that match  Grin.

At certain times it felt like I was watching a wrestling match not a football match,  Cheesy

Anyway, it was a great final. I actually like when a final match goes to extra time. It tests out the actual skill and fitness of the footballers. And it was quite impressive that they still pulled out a great performance in the extra time.

It seems to be waiting for the moment when we will find a very rich money lender who will put a lot of money in a Turkish club. I think that sub-top players would like to play in Turkey given the ideal living conditions and a beautiful culture. It would be nice if we see a Turkish club on the rise in the Champions League or Europa League. You can still do that. Galatasaray, together with Besiktas, has the biggest name in Turkey, but they no longer see the strongest. Sneijder has played for Galatasaray for a while with varying successes.
I don't think anyone will invest heavily in Turkish teams. It's not possible for the clubs to be sold due to the foundation structure. If a legal change is made, the way can be opened, but I don't think that such a thing will happen in the near future. The dollar currency is so high that it has become more difficult to get quality foreign players. Next year, we will see a shrinking league both economically and in terms of quality.
This league doesn't give pleasure. The quality has dropped drastically. And I quess the quality will drop more. Because the dollar currency is so high that it has become more difficult to get quality foreign players.
"Next year, we will see a shrinking league both economically and in terms of quality." I agree with what you are saying.

Another problem is that the league is not appealing to the fans. They hardly have any players worth mentioning as a great player and fans will obviously prefer watching better players compared to the players in the Turkish League.

I also agree that the current economical situation in Turkey is not the best. So it will obviously lose the attention of the fans and the bigger leagues will draw attention away from that Turkish League.

Basaksehir nailed new champion Trabzonspor, 3:1 home win, to secure position 4 and Europe competition next season
having odds @1.5 for a Basaksehir win over champions is really calling for a question how motivated were Trabzonspor players today

Fenerbahce finished second and Konyaspor third, Alanyaspor is fifth

Fenerbahçe defeated Yeni Malatyaspor 5-0. They had a fantastic season finale. If they had achieved this performance earlier, they could have finished the season as champions. Mert Hakan Yandaş showed a good game in the midfield. İrfan Can played a very good game today. He scored a great goal. He is a very important player for team. Fenerbahçe are playing a great team game. If they can protect the players in their team, they can be the strongest champion candidates of the next year.

9 consecutive lose makes Yeni Malatyaspor journey has been ended this season with finish at the bottom of standings league and it makes them as the worst team in Turkish league and for last match this season they will fight against Fenerbahce which is have second position i think there is no chance for them to get 3 points from Fenerbahce because Malatyaspor is so weak and seems they will lose again today from Fenerbahce

Antalyaspor - Galatasaray match finished 1-1. The season is over for both teams. The tempo of the match was very bad. I'm sure those who watched the match were bored. This year Galatasaray had no league claim. It's been a terrible season for Galatasaray fans like me. I'm happy the league is over. But I have hopes for next year. Because we are a team of young football players.

This draw mostly sums up the season for Galatasaray. Galatasaray was so bad this season that they should forget it as quickly as possible.  They should now focus and get some experienced players for next season to attack the title and do much better then this year

Galatasaray will be facing Antalyaspor, which is 7th in the league right now, whereas Adana will face Goztepe who are 19th right now and Sivas will face Kayseri who are 14th. So, I am guessing that unless something unexpected happens, GS will finish at this spot, or even maybe worse.

Being in top 10 would be fine, but this year was a forgone year anyway and anything between 9th and 13th wouldn't really change too much honestly. They need to get a decent manager, sell all the useless and terrible players they had this year, get as much money as possible (sell them to Qatar if you can, they pay top price usually) and then get a few decent players, because they can't just reroll and try again with same roster, and need even better manager than Torrent.

I don't think that the Galatasaray match is going to have any importance right now because at this moment it doesn't matter if they win or lose because they are obviously not going to finish either in the relegation zone or in the top 4.

So, it is not going to have too much importance. But it is going to be interesting to see which player Galatasaray decides to play in the match. This season is over and I expect better performance from them in the next season.

Two teams with no claims made us watch a good football. I love high scoring games. Despite his age, Balotelli has shown us that he is a quality football player this season. Galatasaray was far from what was expected throughout the league. It was also important for him to win in front of his own audience. As a result, they had an enjoyable match.

When there is no pressure over the teams, we can see much better performances by them in terms of attacking. Balotelli is only 31 years old now. If he was more disciplined, he would even be in the starting eleven in the Champions League finale next week. The goal that he scored by a freekick today showed us once again how skilled he is.

Fenerbahce failed to win from Fatih Karagumruk and that made Fenerbahce's points only 3 points different from Konyaspor. next week is the last match and Besiktas will be against Konyaspor then Fenerbahce will be against Yeni, although the chance for Konyaspor to replace Fenerbahce is still there but I believe Fenerbahce will not be defeated by Yeni.

Galatasaray had a win against Adana Demirspor 3-2. Balotelli had one amazing shot which bounced off the goal post and an amazing free kick goal. He has 13 goals in the Super League now, which is not bad considering him. Galatasaray have 51 points and Besiktas have 58 now. It can be 4 points difference if Galatasaray win and Besiktas lose next week. Which is very unbelievable if you consider how bad Galatasaray was. This shows that Besiktas had terrible performance for the last part of the league, which of course we can see from their results. I mean, finishing this close to Galatasaray at the end of this season is utter disgrace for Besiktas. But actually I think Antalyaspor will win next week against Galatasaray. But my point is that Besiktas had also a terrible season.

Galatasaray and Adana Demirspor do not have any claims in the league. Galatasaray will play for the last time in front of their fans this season. They will want to win this match for their fans. On the other hand, Adana Demirspor have very good players. They are not an easy opponent. I hope to watch an enjoyable match.
It looks Galatasaray plays better than Adana Demirspor as they are better with more chances, trials, as you know. But team buildups are sort of similar to each other. Galatasaray currently leads 2-1 against Adana Demirspor but I wouldn't be surprised if Balotelli could score some lucky goal and match going completely different route. Galatasaray may try to use different young players in rotation at this point, from bench.

This week, there was Göztepespor-Beşiktaş match. Göztepe's quite poor performance is the indicator of why they were relegated from the league. Looks like Rosier and Josef want to take an early vacation. Because they made very silly moves and were shown red card. I was also amazed by the performances of Emirhan İlkhan and young goalkeeper Emre Bilgin.
