The Turkish Super League 2024/25 Season is starting and the starting match will be the Galatasaray-Hatayspor match. Galatasaray suffered a big defeat against Beşiktaş in the cup match and looked very weak despite being the champion of the previous season.

Okan Buruk had said that the transfer works were continuing, but it was a very bad transfer season and the current squad is not enough at all. I did not fully examine Hatayspor, I just want to watch the match and analyze Galatasaray and Hatayspor. The last transfer was Gabriel Sara from Galatasaray, a few more player additions are needed before the transfer season closes.
Defending champions Galatasaray after having humiliating defeat against Besiktas in Super Cup now going to start their campaign against Hatayspor which were lucky enough to survive in last season from relegation as they ended their season on 41 points just one point above relegated teams, but now their start of new season is also going to be not ideal because they are going to face Galatasaray.

Odds are not good enough for the match with @1.25 but here we can expect good number of goals and odd for the over 3 is standing at the @1.63 which are looking juicy because Galatasaray is looking frustrating, and they will try their best for having good start of their campaign of defending title on positive note after having big defeat which create serious trouble for them in coming season.

Galatasaray who happens to be the reigning champions of Turkiye will kickoff the new Turkish Super Lig season against Hatayspor  on Friday  night and for so many people who's been starved of European club football, watching game will be a must for them. Galatasaray have successfully won the league title in the last two seasons but will now face a strong competition from Fenerbahce who recently appointed Jose Mourinho to become their manager. The arrival of the Portuguese manager I think will surely improve the performance of Fenerbahce as well as making them a better contender for the league title than they've been in recent years. Galatasaray haven't been active in the transfer market this summer like most people had expected, however, I believe they can still successfully defend the league title

If you are going to lose big and be humiliated, it's better that it's at the very start of the season so they can at least have time to recover from that loss and be better. We have seen this team be fine last season, won the league, and they were pretty strong at UCL as well, played very well, got all the way until the group stages, and finished above United, so we can see them recover. They haven't lost anyone of worth as far as I can see, which means that we are going to end up with them not being bad, or shouldn't be bad.

This game just shows that they just partied a little too hard on the summer period and did not get ready at all and they were not even capable of running properly all that much, so this definitely looks like it sucks.

It is natural to see surprise results in pre-season games. This match was an official match. But I don't think it was enough to measure the performances because it was pre-season. If we form an opinion about the season based on this match, we might get wrong conclusions. But despite all that, Galatasaray should not have conceded 5 goals in this match. Even if it was a friendly or even if the team was missing a lot of players, a Galatasaray team cannot concede 5 goals against one of the most important rivals in the league. We cannot explain this. As a Galatasaray fan, I was very upset and I blamed Okan Buruk for the result of this match. Because he should have prepared the team for this match. But he couldn't do that.

Still, I am hopeful for this season. Because we kept the team that has been champion for the last two seasons. And we signed important players like Michy Batshuayi, Elias Jelert and Gabriel Sara. I am sure we will become a better team. We just need some time.

Emrecan Uzunhan, who wasn't considered in the squad, was loaned to Antalyaspor again. He is still a young player, experience is very important in defense. Emrecan's loan was the right decision. It was already very difficult for him to play for Beşiktaş. At least he will have a chance to play in Antalyaspor. He was loaned to Antalyaspor at half-time last season and played in 12 matches. He will play again this season and gain experience, maybe he can be included in the planning for next season.
This summer Besiktas really seems to be doing significant overhaul, they sold and loaned some players who could not play well with them and instead looked for and brought in better players.
For Emrecan Uzunhan himself, it can be seen that he has not performed well during his time playing for Besiktas, Antalyaspor or İstanbulspor and of course maintaining such players and only putting them on the bench can also be detrimental to Besiktas.
Indeed, the only mistake in having young players is the lack of experience and development of better playing skills, if he plays well with Antalyaspor, maybe in the future he can become player to strengthen Besiktas.
But I think that is not an easy thing considering that Besiktas currently has some pretty good defenders.

Galatasaray seems like there is a fire lit under them after the loss, I can see today that they are looking to sell their two players, and they are looking to buy some players as well, finally making some changes.

It is true that they got Sara before the game, but now they are looking for even more and hoping that they could make something work with the team. Keeping the same players may not always be great when you are the title winner, because players may get over confident and just play not so well, you need players who are hungry, and when you win two in a row, players may not be hungry for a title or a cup anymore, they may get too confident and not do that well. This is why I think they are trying to get rid of some of the players, and get other players instead, which may actually work very well for them.

I agree that they got too egoist for a while now, they have been celebrating like crazy for all summer long, and they made a total of just three transfers. One backup striker, one midfield and one right back. That's it, they did nothing else, just that three, and only one of them played so far, the other two hasn't even seen the pitch and we are already at game week, which means it will be tough for them to get used to the team. We are in august, these transfers came in too late, and they are still looking for more.

Beşiktaş finished a bad season with 2 trophies and found morale before the season. Beşiktaş spent the transfer season and the summer period well and I think they reflected this very well on the pitch in the Super Cup final against Galatasaray. Galatasaray, on the other hand, finished the 23/24 season as champions, but the quality of the game and the incompatibility of the squad in the match against Beşiktaş was striking. In my opinion, Galatasaray got complacent after the championship and bought unnecessary players in the summer. Unlike last season, there was a ghostly team on the pitch in this match. I am very curious to see how Okan Buruk and his team will start the season. The Turkish Super League will be very competitive this season. Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor strengthening their squads compared to last year will make the upcoming season more enjoyable and competitive.

It is good that it is at the beginning of the season but in my opinion the same disgrace can continue for Galatasaray during the season. Galatasaray collected very good points last season and became the champion of last season but despite this I did not find the team very good. We have talented players but we do not have a very intertwined game as a team.

Galatasaray club did not make enough transfers for this season. As if the cup won last season was enough for Galatasaray or I don't know the season is not over yet. I hope it was like this only before the season started as you said. Although it is not like that in my opinion. Beşiktaş looked really good this season. I cannot say the same for Fenerbahçe.

Beşiktaş managed to win the Super Cup with a heavy and different victory against Galatasaray. Beşiktaş actually made a legendary start to the season with this win. Besiktas managed to score 5 goals in total and almost showered Galatasaray with goals. Galatasaray and its fans did not expect such a defeat. When the TFF administration changed, we can say that the referees' decisions in favor of Galatasaray started to change.

Beşiktaş made a bright start to the season with the Super Cup win. Beating your arch-rival 5-0 and achieving the most different result in the history of the cup gives you the psychological upper hand. With the right transfer moves and a new manager, we see a team that is a championship candidate again. In fact, it became clear that the skeleton of this team is not bad, how strong it will be with a few touches to the first 11. Immobile for the striker and Rafa Silva for the number 10 position have taken the team up a couple of levels.

I think Giovanni van Bronckhorst will want at least 2 more signings for the starting 11. If we can get rid of the contracts of foreign players, foreign signings will come.
We have Mert Günok in goal, the goal is solid.
It looks like we will continue with Masuaku at left back. At right back, Svensson and Onur Bulut are the players who are expected to leave the team but in the final analysis they seem to stay. The stopper line is in good shape with Colley, Paulista and new signing Emirhan. Necip is also a wild card in that area.
Al Musrati, Gedson and Salih are in the midfield. If he stays, Muçi, Rafa Silva and Demir Ege Tıknaz along with Amir and Onana make up a good rotation. On the wings there are Rashica, Muleka and Semih, another top-level transfer is a must there.
At forward, there is Immobile and Aboubakar and Mustafa Erhan. Semih also plays there.

There are a few players who need to be released from their contracts. After that, Beşiktaş's future is bright. With a good squad with alternatives, this team can play for the championship.

To be fair, it looked like it wasn't what Galatasaray is capable of, that game isn't really a proof that Galatasaray is a bad team or will be a bad team all season long. They had one terrible game, and Leverkusen had that too last year remember? They went like 51-52 unbeaten games, and then lost to Atalanta 3-0 at the very last game, decisive heavy victory for Atalanta that game, does that mean Leverkusen was bad? Of course not, no team that goes 50+ unbeaten games is bad, it just means they played one bad game.

We still don't know if galatasaray will be terrible, but they have some players who are coming in, and they should use Zaha a lot more, Kerem isn't good at all and yet they keep on insisting playing him for some reason, Zaha was injured last year for a while so I understand why he didn't play, but he is healthy, so they should play him. With Davinson Sanchez, new right back, Zaha on left wing, and Gabriel Sara, I think they will be quite good, go for the title again a third time.

Beşiktaş is doing very well in friendly matches, they have played 4 friendly matches, had 1 loss, 2 wins and 1 draw. Interestingly, in yesterday's match they won and scored 2 goals and did not concede any goals, in these 4 friendly matches Beşiktaş conceded only 2 goals and managed to score 7 goals. This shows to some extent that they have a good defense, it is true that these are matches against weak teams and friendly matches are not very serious either. But having won is a very good thing.

Snip
I think friendly match give confidence to the players. That is time for them to learn from their mistakes and if they will play good, they Will be motivated and they will perform well in International cricket. That is time for preparation. In the last match ,Beşiktaş team did 2 goals and that team is confident team and the players of that team are doing hard work.  They won last match without any resistance and players did 2 goals at right time and the defense of team was also powerful . When M. E. Hekimoğlu did second goal his team won the match because before the score of both teams was equal . Team gave their hundred percent and won the match easily by 2-1 goals.

It seems Turkish league will be very strong this season judging from all the Turkish sides in the UEFA Euro League and Conference League qualifications. All of them won their respective matches and even Istanbul Basaksehir defeated SP La Fiorita of San Marino in a goal aggregate of [10-1] which was outrageous. I am anxious to see what the various teams will bring to the table when the league finally starts. I want to see if there will be any new addition to the usual big teams such as PAOK, Galatasaray, Basiktas and Fenerbahce.

PAOK is not a Turkish team. In my opinion, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe are bigger teams than PAOK Cheesy

We are still in the elimination phase of European matches, the opponents are quite weak in these matches. It is very normal that Turkish teams are winning these matches easily. Success in European matches has started to decline in recent years, which is why we watch so many knockout matches. Actually, we have much stronger teams, but we are going through some unlucky years Smiley

Galatasaray and Fenerbahce fought for the title last season and I have no doubt that they will be among the best teams in the league this season. Beşiktaş made some good signings in the transfer window. They had a very good win against Galatasaray in the Super Cup match. Last season they had no presence in the league. But this season they proved that they can be part of the championship race. Başakşehir are among the teams that have won the league title before. They also made good transfers this season. But I don't expect to see them in the race for the top this season.

Galatasaray have signed Gabriel Sara from Norwich City. Gabriel Sara scored 14 goals and 13 assists in the Championship last season. I think he is a very important signing. Galatasaray will pay 18 million Euros to Norwich City for this transfer.

PAOK is a Greek team, we don't understand why you said that. Of course the championship will be between three teams again. The other teams have no chance. A few Anatolian clubs have been champions in recent years, but those were extreme cases. This year, considering Galatasaray's saturation and underperformance, the race seems to be between two teams. Beşiktaş, which has gotten stronger with their new transfers, and Fenerbahçe, which has changed coaches again and hopes for a different result this time. I don't think other teams will be able to get involved in this race.

Yes, several team that have played each match, whether in the Europa League qualifiers or the Conference League, have shown their prowess and have really improved quite bit compared to last season.
For Fenerbahce and Galatasaray themselves, they are the two team that will represent the Turkish Super League to participate in the UCL and Fenerbahce still has to fight hard during this qualifying round to be able to survive and avoid being eliminated from the competition.
As for Galatasaray itself, they are still waiting for the time, they became champions of the Turkish Super League last season and brought them directly into the play-off round, this will be an important match because it determines how they are there.
Hope is that with several team participating in various competitions, they can continue to be strong team and can focus on the Turkish Super League because if they are not focused, the League will not be much more interesting.

In this season we are having good and positive changes at the top because we have huge investments from the Besiktas and Fenerbahçe; this brings good challenge for the defending champions Galatasaray and their first game result is showing how terrible they are so it's going to be interesting how they will manage in all season after having this humiliating start of new season.

In last few years, we are having good development in Super League and teams are investing funds for improving their quality and having better performance in UEFA events things like these are going to be good for the league and Turkey because now it is good time for them to having improved ranking in UEFA where they are standing at the 9th and can do better in coming years with their improved quality and performance.
