Offering her a job does not make you less misogynistic. Also she has real industry background, where you have neither background in industry or real technical background besides knowing how to set up forums and basic scripts. You shut out people smarter than you and then continue to make bad decisions.

We provided criticisms, you ignored them, because you, as someone who knows who to install software, are too intelligent to take criticism. That's when people started turning on you.

Vegetta, no matter how you slice it, there's no way you can say your forum is currently successful. I ran the math: 82% of the posts on your forum were made by you. I'm not sure how you can be so high and mighty about this project, nor do I understand why you think the people rightfully criticizing you are trolling. It just makes your pompous, misogynistic attitude toward Jesse Kang all the more hilarious.

You guys have gotten way out of line. This is not a kiddy forum where trolls are welcome to spam the site. There are many professional people here who take Bitcoin and these forums very seriously. You guys are doing a disservice to this establishment and yourselves by being so obnoxiously self-centric. Why is it so “funny” that you guys get enjoyment off demoralizing other people’s hard work? That actually sounds a little sick to me... No one cares about your “jokes”; people come here to talk money and Bitcoins, not to spread "jokes". When I want jokes I go watch George Carlin or Bill Maher, not children from some random site that seems to be charging them just for being members. You guys come troll me when I am offering to help the community and take money out of my own pocket, even though you guys are paying to be part of a troll site? You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Anyone who comes here to cause obvious disruptions deserves to be banished, and never allowed back.

I don't know anything about somethingawful.com either but it seems to me like people laughing and making jokes and having fun are getting more out of life than the guy who can't enjoy anything without monetizing it and runs crying to mommymods because those people made jokes, jokes with their words, don't you see?!

I have never been to somethingawful.com - no idea what it is, nor do I care.  The only reason I post this is because every time I click on the "Show new replies to your posts." link this thread comes up.

You have more than convinced me that anything you run is worth steering clear of, and I have been online probably longer than you have been alive.

Go ahead and "pray" for me - I will feel sorry for your gullibility if you think talking to yourself will affect my life in ANY way.

Have you been successful so far? All I see is a website that is 2 other websites that are haphazardly thrown together, with prices for ad space (but no ads on the site, so no one is buying them), and this coming from a guy who is posting content about monetizing Twitter.

If YOU can't monetize Twitter, why should anyone follow your Twitter-monetizing content?

Your idea is not novel, it is not unique. You are not a special, intelligent, successful little butterfly.

e: I know how much money you have to make versus server costs, so unless you have a 'real job' that is significant, nothing you have done indicates you are successful in any way.

Every single one of you (I know the people involved) has been reported to the moderators, with the link to your joke thread about Bitcoins on your joke site. There is a reason why some people are successful in life, and some people still live in their parents basements dreading ever being born into existence. Seriously take a look in the mirror (whoever is involved) and ask yourself what you have done today to progress your life? It wasn't trolling my thread for a whole day, and Somethingawful isn't making any of you clowns real money either. No matter how much you guys think you're getting under my skin you're not. If anything you are helping us by giving us all of your time and attention, thus keeping this thread at the very top of the forum, and giving TweetForum even more hits... Use your brains gentlemen.

You should rent a billboard with a picture of alien saying "I come in tweets" and then the address for your site.

It's working already, one member already got paid for his 5 posts! Hopefully he posts up the payment proof from block explorer soon..
This is not the only thing that I am doing to promote my forum. There is about 100 things I plan on doing in the future to promote TF. One thing that is important to note is that TweetForum is not a Bitcoin only forum, it has many unique attributes that make it valuable beyond this Bitcoin paid to post idea. I just thought it would be a good way to revitalize the Bitcoin economy, by taking money out of my own pocket, and introduce new people to the world of Bitcoin.

I can see how that could be an issue for any sort of site.   Have you tried asking for advice from other web professionals on the best ways to get people to commit to your sites?  I think your pay per post idea may work but that isn't how it's usually done, there might be a more tried and tested method.

I too am creating a robot that will find content on the web for me and post it to MY future site, and as soon as I can make his fingers accurate enough to hit the keyboard keys and can program him to read off the monitor in the corner of my office, I will have PLENTY of content streaming into my site.


Plus I know some guys who have made really good robots before, and I may in fact see if Atlas can help me since he has built robots too.

People who like Twitter but don't know how to use Twitter but do know how to use forums but apparently don't like any of the forums that already exist is a great market and I wish you the best of luck on conquering it.

The purpose of the forum is to expand Twitter conversations beyond 140 characters. If you want to post something that's over 140 characters, and get it on Twitter, then Tweet Forum is the best way to do so. You don't have to know how to use Twitter either, just make a forum account and post! Everything you write will automatically be syndicated to anyone who follows the forum or the specific section where you posted in. The reason why there isn't alot of active users is because the forum is only 1 MONTH OLD , yet we already have 2600+ members, and thousands of Twitter followers. I get 500-1000 unique visitors per day, but it's much harder to get people to post than some may think. I programmed the bot to scrape the most relevant news for each section, so that Tweet Forum could spark conversation, and keep all the followers updated on news relevant to each topic they like to talk about... 

Our Twitter cloud seems to disagree with your assertion that our content is somehow "useless"…

It's very simple, if you have a Twitter account, follow the boards that you like, and if you don't have one, just make a forum account and start posting. No Twitter account is needed to join or get paid in BTC's.

Vagetta, I'm interested in your forum, but I'm not totally sure I understand the concept enough to jump into wanting to be a paid contributor.  Maybe you can help me understand.

When I look at the forum, I see thousands of posts, but effectively no content whatsoever.  Every single thread is started with simply a news headline with no link to an article and no commentary on the news item whatsoever, and almost none of them have any responses at all.  Further, almost 100% of the posts are simply posted by TweetForum itself, not any contributing users.  Browsing through the forums, I have been unable to find a single post that looks anything like actual users using the forum.

In addition, there doesn't seem to be any discussion on your forum's main pages about what exactly the point of the whole thing is.  Is the idea that people read the forum as an aggregator of tweets, or do we subscribe to your twitter feeds to get a feed of what people are discussing on the forum?  Either way, I don't see a single piece of useful content up there today, despite hearing wild claims of thousands of active users.

So given all this, what exactly are you asking us to contribute?  Would you like more news headlines posted without discussion or context?  Would you like responses to the news headlines your bots are posting?  What topics are appropriate?  Just news items?

You keep crowing about this achievement as if it's just plainly obvious how great the site is, but to me it looks pretty useless.  Maybe you should take a step back and just explain what the concept is in precise terms, instead of waving your hands and talking in generalities about web 2.0 and social media.  Tell us what use your site is.

Oh, that.  Not a troll forum, just a small general discussion board.  No one takes it too seriously,  hence the tongue in cheek banners.
