Not bad for a newbie who have done some research and you can learn more of it. I haven't notice many nowadays as I am not quite online everytime so I haven't been able to share a thread which will surely help you a lot. As I skimmed through the posts in here and found that KingsDen already provided the link where it contains list of useful threads that will help you on your journey of learning. However, those threads are only in Beginners and Help board but don't worry it is very handy. Welcome to Bitcointalk.
I do hope those topics were in the sticky or something that newbies could automatically see when they visit the B&H board. Ratimov always has a useful threads for helping newbies especially in this forum and I don't know if those two threads were enough already since there are useful topics too if someone skimmed the whole forum boards. Maybe the most useful threads for now is the one that is useful for newbies since they were on the learning process.

A good research will always give you a good information especially in newbies and thank you to the OP for sharing those links, I bet not all newbies knew that links/threads.

Welcome to the forum!

Apart from giving advice about merits which I believe you are not in the position to do so. Every other things in your post is interesting to me.
The link about is interesting, I am surprised I have never stumbled on it since my newbie time. POSTING ETIQUETTE is a great topic.

Since you seem to be a good reader and a promising newbie, I will like you to visit these two great topics for beginners. One from Ratimov and the other from myself. Enjoy

Fact is that when people post a topic for Merits than it counts in spam.
It depends on the usefulness of the content and the effort put into creating it. Merits is a huge part of the forum, and even though it's regularly advised that you do not chase after them, not everyone can completely ignore them when making a post; This doesn't make them spammers.

And if anyone post a topic or comment to a topic to help others or to give knowledge to others than definitely the post Merited by the members ( I am saying after eyeing many posts).
Every helpful post does NOT get merited. There's no guaranteed reward for quality contribution, well there is and that's contributing positively to the community.

Welcome onboard ReactDOM
Most of new comers to bitcointalk may not feel really comfortable because the design is very classic boring and not that easy to use forum features without the help of somebody or you will spend a long time before checking boards and sub-boards.
The two links you provided are ones of the best threads in bitcointalk designed to help newbies in particular. However, it's still not that easy to find them by new comers. There are a lot of other useful posts, so keep following good forum users as their posts will always redirect to useful post sources.
Thank you for your useful introduction. I wish you will keep using this forum doing best practices .

I would like to acknowledge this forum to be a multinational platform and as such, English might not be the first language of most users of which, I presume isn't yours too @OP. Given that benefit of the doubt, I would like to recommend that you do your utmost best to look into your writing  maybe read it over again or even, give it to someone to aid you in editing it before posting.  There were lots of errors in this peace and it wouldn't go so well should you continue like this. It would make a boring read and at times, the message might be defeated.

Other than this, your welcome to the forum and your introduction from whomever seems to be on point but, you've got to try and stay the course to make the most of it.

You're welcome onboard,

My advice for you is not to get carried away with distractions but remain focus and stick to the task ahead which is the main reason for your coming to the forum and also learn.

Lastly, from the links you posted that really entice you is a call for hardworks, those members whose post you saw have contributed alot to the forum not minding the challenges, make your stay on the forum by making it worthwhile.
