Considering technology and development of a certain alt coin in deciding to which alts you are going to invest is a good idea but I would suggest to try also looking at the market graph were you can see the demand of different alts because majority of alts are really good and promising you just need to pick the one that most of people will pick and invest with.

Aside from bitcoin i suggest you to buy Ethereum because it is in the 2nd rank in coinmarketcap. It has a solid project and its smart contract is already existed. The value of Ethereum will increase because of the demand because you need a gas if you create a token in Ethereum platform.
Of course I prefer buying platform coins or protocols coins. These are more serious companies, greater investments and less chance to get scum. However, even coins on the Ethereum or NEO are often very successful, so you can not exclude something from the list. I'm looking at different possibilities.

if I prefer a coin that has a firm and a strong person behind it, because by investing with a coin that has the above criteria will be very potential in the future and certainly the price will be stable and continue to increase significantly.

Strong development progress, future roadmap, reliable team, good whitepaper. And the last should be the coin must have a big community behind it to support the development progress of the project itself. I think that you must do in-depth research to take a conclusion about how good the coin.
