Hello

In my opinion, the crypto world lacks education at the moment as I believe that more and more people would love to learn crypto, but do not have a school that would satisfy them. I'm wondering which type of person are you and what kind of school would be better for you?

Or if you are already an experienced trader, how did you learn and what worked the best for you?

Thank you in advance for your votes and comments.

Have a good day.

I've learned what I know now in Cryptocurrency on articles and videos uploaded on Youtube, but if I will have a choice I like it a live seminar so I can ask what I still need to know, as learned from what you read and heard, there are questions that will run in your mind that needs an explanation and answer a live seminar is a must.

I think it would be great if kids were taught about crypto at their schools at the economics lessons. It is just as important as studying the traditional economy. And people would have less prejudice about crypto if it was applied

I would agree yes that it should be also taught in schools, like what are crypto about, how are they affecting the economy and so on. Great idea, something to build on!

Experienced worked the best for me

Yeah but to gain experience you need capital, which you probably loose in the beginning, i think the crypto community needs a learning program that would help newbies from blindly investing as well as practice markets where you can invest fake money and learn.

I can see some schools in my place offering crypto courses for interesting students but I dont think we really need to enrol in school just to learn about crypto there are a wide range of information on the internet when it comes to cryptocurrency and you can access freely even on smartphones, a simple conversation to our collegiates and friends on how we can benefit on crypto will give them idea and to explore digital money share them to search and learn about crypto it on their free time.
There are limited offline courses in colleges or universities but there are alternatives, online courses. You can easily find them and there are two types of online coures: free and fee-charged. It is good enough to start off with free ones (mostly basic); then if you learn and proficient understand those free ones, you can move further with fee-charge course (mostly more advanced).
Just checked those paid sessions if their students feedbacks are great and that they really earned. Since knowledge is also sort of Investment so it's good to pay as long as it gives what it should really need to present. I guess a live presentation and actual application is a good demonstration they can do to make the traders or students learn it more.
Live presentation is we need.

How can you present the market if it's old technical analysis. You need to show and present the reality of bitcoin and its market. You need to explain how block chain really works through different applications of it.

If you are a teacher or professor then you need to make different ways to show it live than texts from slideshow because it is too boring. ,,

Good that you mentioned, that is also the next problem. Schools in my area or country do not offer any crypto education. I think this is very poor behavior for a school system as cryptocurrencies are the future and should be taught among the millenials.

Experienced worked the best for me and the suggestions and tips from those more experienced trader also helped. Blockchain and crypto courses can be found on the web so if you want to learn more of it, you have a choice to enrol with of those class.

You just have to figure out on what you're really pursuing so that you can focus with that goal you have.

Shorter but with more actual knowledge videos are good for me.

I agree, but they are hard to find these days haha

Good school programs or lessons are also hard to find in my opinion. I was looking for a decent school that would explain literally everything for a good time. Decided to learn partially from page to page. Bitcointalk helped me a lot as i kept opening threads with questions.

Well I have found two pages that are worth reading and expanding your crypto knowledge. Just Learn Crypto and Newscrypto.io, check them out maybe it will help you.

I can't seem to vote.
You can't vote because your rank is Newbie. Newbies can't vote to prevent manipulation of voting results. If they could it would be possible to register 100s of new accounts and use them to vote, manipulate the results according to your agenda.

Voted video, but don't get me wrong. Most of modern days tutorials/videos on youtube are first 5 minutes talking about channel and nothing serious,  then talking thinking its explaining something, but lack of actual knowledge is visible at once, then 5 more minutes about channel and subscribe.
Shorter but with more actual knowledge videos are good for me.

I can't seem to vote. I agree that a video is better as well. I think what's important now is more adoption, the more people start owning crypto and using it, the better it will be, and a short straightforward video is a good method. There is a trend now where people have been YouTubing for answers instead of Googling, especially the younger generation. Having a good video may influence this younger group and make them more open up to crypto at an earlier age.
Reading books is outdated right now it's sad to say it is but it's the reality.

I agree that it is outdated but you still find book worms that are willing to learn something. I think when you are watching the video you are not that focused as you are if you read chapters.. My opinion tho..

Yeah because I found reading on text is so boring and not totally enjoyably to me that's why I mostly go on video with text subs is a great plus since it is good for better interaction and easy to understand since there's a visualization on what the creator explaining on his tutorials.

Reading books is outdated right now it's sad to say it is but it's the reality.

And i was wondering what type of a person are you, do you prefer video content? written content or live experience.
I prefer videos and video guides over written content. They are surely better. It is easier and more effective to listed to someone explain something, maybe with subtitles, rather than reading about it and trying to picture it in your head. They don't say 'a picture is worth a thousand words' for no reason.

That really depends on the person, me personally i like written lesson as i can take my time and study the literature. Also, i can read over one sentence multiple times without having to reverse the video itself. pros and cons for both.

The title in the OP is quite confusing but based on the choices in the poll, I would assume that the poster was talking about tutorials on cryptocurrencies and not school (universities). Anyway, to answer the poll, I prefer a mix of all the choices.

That was my biggest problem when i started learning crypto, we need everything on one platform!
bitcointalk.org is the platform that has everything or almost everything.

What i meant was tutorials and lessons about cryptocurrency, ofcourse not school. Smiley
