No, Real Madrid has been buying anybody they wanted since I have known the club, the keep spending money in the market get talents from all over the world and that's why they have been this successful not the mentality that you're talking about. We only noticed the mentality in their road to the finals last season since they perform comebacks after come backs to win the games and even though Chelsea was winning them at their own home stadium, they still performed a comeback although weren't able to win the match but they progress to the next stage if the tournament.

Chelsea can only be scared of Real Madrid when we have injuries problem. Already there are rumors of Reece James going on another injury break and might possibly miss the clash. Only news like this are what I'm afraid off and not playing Real Madrid, didn't Kante own them in both legs? Winning man of the match when he was fit. If we have all our players on fit and on form then why should we be afraid of Real Madrid. Infact they should abe scared because if we destroy their dream of another champions league title then they got nothing to fight for since Barcelona is lifting the la Liga trophy this season.
There is no reason to make Chelsea fear Real Madrid because inevitably Real Madrid is their opponent in the quarter-finals. Chelsea are not lacking in talent from their players, they are a good team to expect something good from their results. I don't always see Real Madrid as the favorite team as long as the opponent can also have a good impact on his game. It's just that I doubt Potter and his strategy a little because after all, strategy plays a role in the outcome of the match.

Real Madrid has weaknesses this season, but they are not as weak as imagined when they appeared in the Champions League. Many people support Madrid because this team is the one that has won the most Champions League titles, because of that most of them are quite confident about Real Madrid without seeing the weak side.

Real Madrid is without a doubt the most successful team internationally of the 8 remaining teams. A lot of attention is paid to the teams Bayern Munich and Manchester City, but what about Napoli? They don't drop stitches at all, both in the CL and in the national competition they chop everything that comes their way and the game is also very nice to watch. I think Napoli can make it to the final, but AC Milan is a cunning and experienced opponent. It would be a shame if Napoli just played 2 lesser matches against AC Milan and then flew out. On the other hand, AC Milan has also lost connection with the European top, so they can also use a little success.

Having the talented players, and even the financial power of the club doesn’t not guarantee trophies. A team looking to win trophies need to have that winning mentality and determination to go against all odds to achieve their desired goal for the season. That has been the spirit of Real Madrid in all the years they got the trophies they have to their name. I think I saw the same mentality when Chelsea won the Champions league with Tuchel, the squad wasn't even star studded. To be honest I’d be scared if I was a Chelsea fan.

I do not think so. I mean sure they have spent a lot of money on players all the time, but that doesn't mean that they got "everyone" they wanted. Just the biggest example I can think of would be Mbappe, it is because that happened very recently and that means dude wasn't interested, or even if he was, he was offered so much more money that it was really crazy for him to even consider that as an option.

So long story short there is a bit of a trouble where we are talking about Mbappe wasn't bought by Real and they couldn't get "anyone" they want. This probably happened before as well, some players just stay at their club but they did buy most players they wanted, and that's a plus for sure.

The PSG team is out of the Champions League target. PSG team officials tried their best to do well in the Champions League but that wish unfortunately did not materialize. However, Real Madrid is very focused on the Champions League.
With the way real Madrid really want the champions league, then they will do everything possible to get it, real Madrid will be playing against Chelsea in their next match, I don't think it will be a easy match for Chelsea, with Chelsea current poor performance, I don't think Chelsea stand any chances of winning real Madrid, I don't know how Chelsea will play it but I don't believe Chelsea will be able to defeat real Madrid. Chelsea performance is poor this season, and they haven't been able to fix themselves, they don't really know where their problem is coming from.

All in all, these are great matches that we will soon see in the quarterfinals of the Champiosn League. Real Madrid are clearly better off than Chelsea, but if you look at the market value of the players that represent Chelsea, Chelsea should be ahead. A few years ago, no one cared for Chelsea, and they just won the Champions League from scratch. And in the final they beat rivals Manchester City, so in theory it could be done. Real Madrid is a strong team, but it is not Bayern Munich or Manchester City. I think Real Madrid have a 60% chance of going through, and if you're in the semi-final anything is possible. Also with unattractive football.
Chelsea have pretty good players, it's just that they are not in the hands of a great coach. Chelsea this season has been very different, now they are no longer considered a team to be feared in Europe. Since switching ownership, Chelsea seems to have lost its soul.

You have to look at different aspects of Chelsea at the moment. I don't think it's appropriate to compare the Chelsea of then to the Chelsea of now.
Compared to the past it is clear that they are very different now, so I agree with you that it is irrelevant to compare them to the past. I know they are a big team with quality players, but unfortunately in football it is not a measure of whether the team is worthy or not, what is seen is how they are playing now. Are they playing well or not, and I'm sure we will be able to judge from the game they are showing now.

Indeed, in football anything can happen but for this occasion I will be completely confident for Real Madrid compared to Chelsea. Maybe we can ignore Chelsea's results in the Premier League as well, but I will consider Potter's quality here, and to beat Ancelotti's tactics then of course it will not be easy for Potter to beat him.

So yes, if I do all the considerations then it looks like Chelsea's chances of beating Real Madrid are very low, if not nearly impossible. Also, even though I chose Real Madrid to win, but I'm not a Real Madrid fan and basically I prefer Premier League teams but for Chelsea at this moment I really doubt it.

Grin How much negativity in your words towards Real Madrid. Is it something personal?
A lot of time has passed since the times of galacticos and Real Madrid is one of the most modest top clubs - a lot of spenders in the transfer market litter with money - PSG, City, Chelsea, etc. while Real make one-off very measured purchases.

By the way, if we are talking about fears, then as a Chelsea fan, tell me what is more terrible - to stay in 10th place or to get into the Conference League?  Roll Eyes
Lol it’s obvious he’s a Chelsea fan. CryptopreneurBrainboss is one of the few people here you can know their football club by their posts and you can see their passion. It’s always interesting to read his banter. Of course I’m on the opposite side of the blues.

A comparison of Chelsea's performance this season with Real Madrid gives a good idea of the weakness of the Chelsea team. Chelsea's performances have been completely erratic this season. With such erratic performances, they cannot expect to win against an experienced team like Real Madrid. Even if Chelsea's players are not injured, the team is far behind Madrid. I would say Chelsea has a chance to beat Madrid in this match if two of Madrid's key players, Vini and Benzema, are absent from the match due to injury. Also, I see no chance of Chelsea winning.

Benfica are in a really comfortable position in the Liga Portugal now. They are ten points ahead and maintaining their lead now. While there are nine weeks to go until the end of the season, I expect them to secure their league title earlier easily. I'm talking about this because I think that this will be a big help for Benfica in the Champions League.

They can focus on the Champions League much more from now on. They are having a very productive season so they would like to take advantage of this as much as possible. The next obstacle in the Champions League is Inter. I must admit that Benfica have a much tougher work to do compared to the previous round. Inter have eliminated Porto new which are another Portuguese team. They would be ready to play strongly against Benfica also. As the first leg is in Portugal, Benfica had better fight with all they've got to get advantageous in Giuseppe Meazza.
Benfica are having a good season this session and with 10 points lead and 9 games left to the end of the season they have much advantage because with the level and form at which they are firing I don't their is a chance for the team behind them to catch up. Against Inter Milan in the Champions league I think Benfica will be able to match their opponents and give them a tough time, playing the first leg at home Benfica could win because they will be very motivated and having the fans cheer and motivate them they have a huge advantage over Inter.

I'm afraid Chelsea don't have much place to run in this round of the Champions League. Real Madrid should be able to eliminate them without serious difficulties. If we were watching the same Chelsea with Tuchel in the previous years then I wouldn't have been so sure of that. But now they are just an unreliable team to me and most of us surely. Potter still can't make an important level of impact on the team.

They are horrible in the Premier League as well. They have done a nice job in the Champions League so far though. But Dortmund could have actually eliminated them anyway. They played so poorly in the second leg and this was an opportunity for Chelsea to take. But now Real Madrid is a much more serious opponent and Chelsea's job is very difficult.

I think Napoli team has the higher chance of getting to the finals compared to the others because they will be facing milan and then if they get past them they will either face inter or benfica, Napoli are much stronger this season so they should be able to get past these teams.
This is what I hope that Napoli is potentially in the Final and waiting to see which club to face. Because for now, the real battle is in the matches between Madrid vs Chelsea and Bayern Munich vs Manchester City. However, I will not exaggerate too much, it is possible that Napoli will face something unexpected because their opponents in the final will be of much better quality.
Graham Potter and Ancelotti will compete in strategies, but on top of that Ancelotti's experience remains superior plus the mentality of last season's players remains the same and with a composition that is not much different. Thomas Tuchel's first appearance will be highly anticipated and the new coach's style of play is definitely different from Nagelsmann's.

I think that no matter whom they would be going to face, they would play fearless. The reason for my thinking is that Napoli is not playing like a one hit wonder that could play amateurish tomorrow again. They have a serious system and strategy and they stick to it but do nothing else. They found the perfect balance for now and everyone on the field is committed to do the hard work that is required to also make up for mistakes from others. They are very hard to defend and also very tough to crack in their defensive third of the field. I want to see them in the final and find out how a club like Manchester City or Bayern or Real would do against them.

Actually the first leg is always a pretty important match. but unfortunately the first leg looks like it will be the most difficult match for Chelsea. I admit Chelsea have had some improvements. but still against Real Madrid is the most difficult task in the Champions League. in addition to the first leg which will be held at home to Real Madrid. certainly will make the advantage more in favor of Real Madrid. But I expect a more interesting match in the fight. I hope Chelsea provide meaningful resistance in that match. although it might be quite difficult to win. but I want to see how the young forwards of Chelsea fight against the more experienced Real Madrid players and even some who are not young anymore. i thought it would be interesting.

It will be difficult for any team to play against Real Madrid and to be honest, for Chelsea to reach the quarter-finals, it's quite an achievement, given the form the team is in. They were lucky with Dortmund, because in the second leg, Dortmund played frankly worse in attack, and the defense was not the best, because before that Chelsea had few scored goals. Real Madrid will beat Chelsea, I have no doubt about it.
This is first experience for Potter to playing on champion league and with the lack of experience and the decline of Chelsea performance under him i think i can understand why most people very doubt Potter can able to bring Chelsea to beat Real Madrid and if we compared between the coaches from two teams obviously Ancelotti is clearly better than Potter because before train Chelsea Potter only spend his time to train small teams

Real Madrid probably is not too strong such as last season because at their domestic league Madrid performance is quite unstable and they have to hard struggle to pursuing Barcelona for race title but in champion league Real Madrid has been change became an one of the strongest team in this competition and very hard to beat them even Liverpool has no chances against them and Chelsea destiny probably will not so different such as Liverpool that their journey will be stopped on quarterfinal because obviously Real Madrid will be overcomes them

Chelsea will repeat the same fate as the previous meeting against Real Madrid and it is indeed like fate that must be accepted that Chelsea is not equal to being able to beat Real Madrid. Especially with Chelsea's inconsistent performance, they should be lucky enough to get to this round but we shouldn't underestimate Chelsea, sometimes they could be lucky if Real Madrid made one fatal mistake in each leg. But I don't think that will happen for Real Madrid either, considering they have the most UCL titles so far, so for sure their squad is very evenly distributed in every position.

Do you think even with the latest number of acquired players, Chelsea deserves a round win because they are actually in form? I don't think so, my friend. They had the balls last season and the reason was that Tuchel had a record of Champions League in the bag, Someone like Potter, who hasn't won any, can't defeat Real Madrid, and even Liverpool, who isn't having the best of times, couldn't win a round, let alone Chelsea, who is still ranked 10th in their domestic league unless Real Madrid wants to play their usual jargons like they used to, but will they do that in the Quarter-final? No!
We'll see what they can do now with their current form. I wouldn't say they are out now, because after all they still have a chance to go further in the Champions League this season. It's just that they are faced with a strong opponent like Real Madrid, it will be a real test for them in this game. I'm on Real Madrid's side, but I still give them chances to surprise.
