Disappointing result from Barcelona, and I dare say; lots of work to be done in order to compete in Europe, despite the great form in the league.

Because it is the league of champions, the Champions League is unlike other leagues. The champions league is distinct from how a team performs in their domestic league. I was confident Inter Milan would exert more effort in today's game to obtain a victory, therefore I am not overly shocked by the result.

Barcelona had the most of the possessions and shot attempts in the game, but the Inter Milan defense was exceedingly tough to penetrate. Barcelona has had quite a bad day. I hope they can defeat Inter Milan in their upcoming match in the champions league rather than just outplaying them and losing the game.

The Champions League competition does have a different atmosphere and different levels of difficulty, so there are often surprises
in the Champions League competition. It seems that Barcelona underestimated Inter, who performed poorly in Serie A, and it turned out
that Inter were surprisingly able to win. This indeed makes Inter in second place in Group C, but it does not guarantee Inter will definitely
qualify from the group phase. Barcelona can still turn the situation around by winning when they play in their next match against Inter,
which is next Barcelona will play at home. So Barcelona's chances are still open to qualify for the next round, although the chances are not big.
What is certain is that Barcelona must learn from the defeat they experienced when facing Inter. I'm sure Barcelona will give a better performance
in the next game. So I'm really looking forward to whether Barcelona can avenge their defeat by beating Inter in the next game. If Barcelona can
beat Inter in the next match, the competition in Group C will be even more interesting.

In the end, Calhanoglu's performance made the difference, albeit both teams may have scored a solitary goal had it not been for several near calls from VAR. After today's victory, Inzaghi's team will be in a better position when they travel to Camp Nou for the 4th-round match. They are now second in Group C, with Barca trailing in third.

Tonight was a big disappointment for Ajax. In fact, they seemed to be the favorites at home, according to the odds, they also took the lead at the beginning of the match, but then everything went wrong. Napoli played incredible and scored 6 goals at once. Napoli also wasted that much position. The score could have been much different. In this group, Napoli showed that they wanted to lead. It's normal for Bayern München to score 5 goals against Viktoria Plzen, but it's unusual for Ajax to concede 6 goals. Barcelona's defeat changed things in Group C. Inter had an advantage in that group. Barcelona have to win in the second leg matches, they have no chance to make a mistake. They should be more productive and effective on offense.

I have read that Barcelona should have drawn at least this match. But what good is that? They lost and Inter are in good shape in the league. I think Bayern Munich will win this group. It will be a difficult task for Barcelona to qualify for the next round. There is also a goal disallowed by the VAR of Pedri, good that they have the VAR otherwise it would have been a goal. Barcelona will not settle for a 3rd place because that is another elimination from the CL. Group A - Ajax - Napoli 1-6.

Who could have thought that Ajax would be demolished by Napoli even in their home match? Personally I didn't at all.

I was expecting to see even the opposite. But Napoli were 5-1 ahead even before Ajax got that red card. I've no idea how Ajax gave up on the match this easily. They made a really good impression on the first match week. After that they were pretty ineffective in Anfield but I saw it as normal because of Liverpool's classical dominant game in their home stadium. But this was really too much. How can you let Napoli score 6 goals in your home? How can they be this much weak in defense? They at least didn't concede this many goals against Liverpool but couldn't defend Napoli well.

Now I can comfortably say that Ajax are very likely to continue their journey in the Europa League. Maybe it's still early to say it but their performance deserves only there not the Champions League.

I'm not sure about this myth but every time I see a shot hit the post then the team is unlucky. If that's true, then I think Barcelona will lose this match even though they played well overall. Pedri's goal, then disallowed because the ball first touched the hand.
Barcelona must avoid losing this match because I think they deserved to win the match. Anything can happen in the last 10 minutes, but where is Lewandowski, who has impressed in Laliga?

Well Barcelona really has lost this match in the end too after they have already lost against Bayern Munich in the last match of the Champions League. After everything was looking so great for Barca a few weeks ago, the things definitely has changed now, at least in teh Champions League because now they are only at the 3th place of their group table. Of course it is also part of the truth that both losses in the CL were pretty unlucky for Barca. They coudl have easily won the match against Bayern Munich if they would have been more efficient with their chances and it seems like that they were also pretty unlucky in the match today.
Still they really need to win the next match now or they will have to play in the Europa League again.

For the Inter Milan and Barcelona game, I think the Inter Milan coach did the best thing by studying the game plan of Barcelona knowing very well that the only player that can give Barcelona the win in the game is Lewandoski, he asked his players to attack him and make sure he doesn't have much control of the game. Barcelona won in possession, corners and shoots on target but Inter Milan's defence was a big bridge for them to cross.
Inter Milan's pattern is working well; they are now three points ahead of Barcelona, which is a significant advantage. They will play Barcelona again in their next group stage match, and I believe the coach will simply secure his defense because all he needs in the game is a draw or a win, and if Inter were to win or draw the match, Barcelona will most likely play Europa League again this season, because Viktoria Plzen is not a threat for Inter.

Club Brugge surprised Atletico Madrid, earning nine points by winning all three of their group matches; they will be the group leaders and will almost certainly do well in the Champions League this season because they have started well in their group matches.

Of course, Inter are focused on defense and counter-attack. They managed to frustrate the Barcelona players in this match where almost every aerial chance was thwarted. Dembele's cross also didn't take much aim because it was well blocked by an Inter defender. Obviously Inter were very lucky because the referee canceled out Pedri's goal, but I think the referee's decision was right because the ball touched his hand first. Then Barcelona also did not get a penalty in injury time despite several protests. Meaning, Inter won this match defensively and on the counter-attack and not forgetting that they were lucky.

It is a mystery how Inter managed to win the game.

I can say How the Var won the game, the same thing.
It's happened so many times, it's not surprising. Lol

What surprised me was, Barcelona had lost 2 matches in a row in the Champions League when they played Alonso from the first half. I'm not saying it's his fault, but Barcelona's attacking power on the left was sorely lacking before Alejandro Balde replaced Alonso.

Tonight's result swings the pendulum in favour of inter heading into the reverse fixture, but it's still very much in Barcelona's hands to decide their fate.

I think in group A it is clear who will advance to the next round. I actually couldn't believe it when I saw that Ajax had lost 1-6 to Napoli at home. Another important win for Inter Milan over Barcelona. 1-0 is minimal, but a win is a win. That Bayern Munich won 5-0 against Plzen will not have surprised anyone. I will give Barcelona chances to continue in this group, especially because they can still play at home against Bayern and Inter. We assume that Plzen does not play a significant role. It would be a major disappointment if Barcelona were knocked out again in the group stage.

The score line is hot with five goals from Bayern Munich. They are tearing apart Viktoria Plzeň. I think the only thing that would be surprising tonight was if we saw a different Bayern Munich than the one that thrashed Frankfurt 6-1. Bayern Munich have done quite well, their tops Sadio Mane, L. Sané, are dominating this game. Bayern are well furnished to get more goals in this fixture tonight.

Did you see the first touch from Leroy Sane, that was so fast and what's amazing is that he did that in a short time inside the penalty box.
Victoria Plzen couldn't handle the pressure, some more goals should have come also in the second half but those passes were far from complete. Good game they have bounced back from the bad game's they has previously going four straight game without winning.

I didn't expect Barcelona to find it difficult to win inter milan, they caged Lewandoski in the first half and he barely got a good chance on goal.s the score is now leveled, Barcelona are pushing for one more goal, but that will be crazy hard. Dembele and Raphina are not in the game from first half.
Porto seems more determine to win, the goal keeper saved them from the penalty else they won't have had hope to win.

Lorey Sane's first goal in 7 minutes was beautiful, that was too difficult for the goal keeper to save because the shoot was unexpected.
Victoria Plzen is not in good form in this competition because they are yet to secure a win in their group so I didn't expect them to be a difficult team for Bayern to defeat, moreover, Bayern Munich has been outstanding in their performance having won all their group matches so I think Plzen was bonus to them.

Liverpool hasn't been the Liverpool we know for a while now, I am not sure if they are going to end up being as good as we imagine they would be. I am not saying that they will lose, but they had a horrible season so far and it wouldn't be shocked to see them lose in the end neither.
This brings me to ask this question again could that be that Sadio Mane is the play maker for Liverpool, because I'm still why since his departure from Anfield, Liverpool as a team are yet to get theirselves.

I personally think LFC will still win, but if they can't, and they lose to Rangers, that wouldn't be a big shock to the world neither because they are used to LFC losing this year and it would be just another. I feel like there is a good chance that Liverpool could even go to europa this year as well, would be terrible for them financially of course, but they are "that" bad this year so far.
Seem like Liverpool got internal issues aside what we are seeing that is affecting the overall clubs performance.
For tonight's game ,a bit improvement so far in the game, They've gotten 2 goals already and if I were to be the coach , what I will do right now is to lock the point and Play Jose Mourinho pattern of play.

My bet on both teams to score for Ajax - Napoli won in only 18 minutes.  Grin  However the match is going on very interestingly now.

Even though Ajax scored the first goal Napoli have made an incredible comeback. Napoli are in the lead by an absurd score like 3-1 in Amsterdam.

Shocking performances by Ajax in this night champions league fixture as Napoli have now scored 5 goals away from home against Ajax. This results mean Napoli have now won all group games in the champions league group this season. Will Ajax beat the drop to europa or get the 2nd berth at inconsistent Liverpool's expense?
There is a big chance to add back their goals now.
Dusan Tadic was sent off by the referee in the 73rd minute and it is clear that this will make it increasingly difficult for Ajax to reduce the goal margin because Napoli are now free and have the upper hand at this time with a striking advantage and superior number of players.
In other matches Liverpool currently managed to win from Rangers which definitely makes them comfortable in Position 2 at this time.

Ajax and Napoli now have roughly equal odds of 2.7... So far this is the most interesting match out of all the others and I think there will still be goals here... Not only has Spalletti already been yellow-carded... Grin I think the game is sure to be hot, and judging by Ajax's good form, they're not going to lose today!

Funny enough Ajax has been humiliated by Napoli, 1:5 in 63minutes and I doubt if Napoli is done scoring the goals because from the look of things the Ajax defense is looking very porous and Napoli players are taking the advantage to shoot from all angles, it's really a bad day for Ajax because this season's champions league is not working for them because they have lost 2 matches already and having Napoli and Liverpool in the group means they can't make in to the next stage.

The manner in which Bayern Munich humiliated Viktoria Plzen today is not shocking. They are completely unbeatable by them, and today's few attempts to score a goal against Bayern were all in vain. With a 9-point lead on top of the standings, Bayern has yet to allow a goal in the league.

With this result, Bayern will advance to the next round; not even the second round will make them to beat Bayern. They have been successfully dominating the champions league for many years. Again this year, with their current squad I foresee them making it to the semifinals.

Bayern's victory against Viktoria Plzen was something that had been predicted before the match started. Because after all Bayern's performance
was very good in the Champions League, previously Bayern managed to beat Inter and Barcelona. So facing Viktoria Plzen who is the weakest team is
not surprising if Bayern can win with a big score. It seems that Nagelsmann has begun to realize that Sadio Mane is indeed better placed as a winger
than playing as a center forward.

If we look at the match statistics, it is clear that Bayern dominated the match, so Bayern really deserved to win. For Group C, it is certain that Bayern
will qualify from the group phase, where Bayern won perfect results from 3 matches, and interestingly Bayern have not conceded a single goal
in 3 matches in the Champions League. Seeing Bayern's performance I agree with you, at least Bayern will advance to the semifinals. Indeed Bayern
have a good track record in the Champions League, Bayern have won the Champions League trophy 6 times, so if Bayern's performance is good in
the Champions League it's no surprise.
