Real Madrid hardly plays defensive game, but if that is what they can use to win or get rid of their rival or any club to quify to the next round, then they should use that strategy. Real Madrid will not play a defensive game against their opponent in their next UCL match. Bayern Munich should be ready to face Real Madrid striking force and quality football.

I agree with you. Real Madrid's strength is that they have a very dangerous counter attack. That could be a threat to teams that have ball control tactics. I think Bayern Munich is a team that also plays with ball possession so this will be a very difficult match for them. I'm sure Real Madrid will be able to win the semifinals and will go to the final and will be champions. No one doubts their quality this season. And after City lost, I thought nothing could stop Real Madrid from getting the 15th Champions League trophy in the club's history.
This is UEFA champion league competition, and anything can happen that will shock others fans, which people have experienced it from the quarter-final that made Arsenal to drop out from the race because people thought Arsenal can use premier league strategies to beat Bayern Munich but they failed.

We know that Real Madrid escaped from the hand of Manchester city in their quarter-final, that make Real Madrid to qualified for semi-final to face Bayern Munich, and I have that believe that Bayern Munich will beat Real Madrid to qualify for final.

I don't think Real Madrid will win this UEFA  champion league trophy in this season because the teams that remain in the tournament will not allow them to win in the semi-final, and still win in the final to lift the trophy.

The competition will be between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich and in this competition, the two managers will make almost all the decisions for their teams off the field. However, although the two managers are quite experienced, considering Real Madrid's team, Ancelotti will have some chance to stay ahead of Bayern Munich with his team. The first leg match is important for both the teams so both the teams will definitely want to do well in the first match and take the pressure off in the second match. If the first leg is a draw between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, the second leg will undoubtedly be a tough match.
Maybe it is just me I don't know but I feel like Real has absolutely no chance of letting this Bayern team to beat them. I feel like Real will end up with a win and Bayern is already in trouble and Tuchel will be fired by the end of the season so it is not going to be all that hard for Real Madrid to win this one. Ancelotti knows what he is doing and he has all the plans in his mind and he knows how to pull the strings.

I think Real Madrid will end up with a great result eventually, we just need to make sure that we could see them doing well enough and it shouldn't really worry anyone. Bayern played terrible all season long and yes they are at semi finals so it looks like they are doing alright at the moment but the reality is that we are not going to see them win this game.

This did not age well.  I am also pretty sure that there was no serious thinking involved in this prediction.  how did she think that Barcelona was actually going to go to the final of the Champions League competition?  this is just beyond me.

but I guess this is just clowns being clowns. Just another way to entertain people and grab as much views as they can in that process. What they are going to predict about the semi-finals and the finals now?  I am actually disappointed if these are the people who are supposed to be "Pundits".  a lot of the time they even fail to be professional.  Remember Jamie spitting on rival fans from his car?  And Micah is literally going to do anything for money.

What do you mean by that? What's annoying about the tactical approach of the game? Isn't defending part of the game now? I don't like the way too many people viewed that game.
I was amongst those that said, Real Madrid has been too defensive. But, after that game, I had a quick glance at what Sir Alex Ferguson said that, defending is also part of the game and that's what win you trophies.

I'm just quoting what many people thought about Ancelotti's style in that game. That was why I used quotation marks while writing "annoying".  Smiley  It was a really defensive play but that was a smart choice. There wasn't any other way to beat this powerful Manchester City in the end. We all know that.

Before this match takes place, both teams will study the strengths of their opponents. Ancelotii is not stupid to implement a defensive strategy for no reason, as long as we know that Manchester City's attack line is good, and they also have good ball control. So Ancelotti will implement a strategy which will benefit them, and after considering everything, Ancelotti makes a decision to implement what kind of strategy, and that is his choice.

We all know that Real Madrid does not emphasize possession of the ball, they put more emphasis on fast counter-attacking play. If they had played with an open strategy, would they be in the semifinals now? Not just Real Madrid, even all teams will definitely adjust their strategy based on the opponent they will face.

Defense is part of strategy, and here actually whoever can implement a better strategy will be able to win, and Real Madrid proves that.
Defensive game and sharp counter attack is the only way any club can use to win Manchester city. This is because they are good at passing and holding the ball for a long time than any club playing with them. They can easily break through your defense, and that was what happened last season when City won them 3-1 in the second leg at Etihad.

Anyways it seems like Bayern Munich are in big trouble with many injury news. I mean really important players Sane, Musiala, Coman seem like injured and they all are likely to miss the first leg if the team doctor can't do something to make them catch up with the game. If this happens then I won't be surprised to see Real Madrid winning this game and gaining a big advantage before the rematch at Santiago Bernabeu.
Hopefully there will be good news coming from the Bayern Munich players so they can play when they face Real Madrid in the first leg. Because I also want to see the game from both teams, where both teams can play at full strength without a single player being unable to play.
This is not just a match of losing and winning for me, but I want to see them play as well as possible with their best players playing in this big match.
Indeed, for a team, they will definitely want the team they will face to experience problems, such as injuries and so on. However, I am speaking here from the position that I am a football fan, so I want to see them play with their best squad. It will be very enjoyable to see a match where both teams can play at full strength.

You should know that Mbappe is the key player of PSG, only his presence on the field will frightening many players and goalkeeper because they know how dangerous he is. However, I don't think that we use use the recent results of these two clubs in their domestic leagues to judge the outcome of their semifinals match.

Most clubs playing in the champions league currently are not taking their domestic league matches too serious for a compulsory win, because they have a big challenge ahead of them and no need to over work the players on small matches.
There is no doubt that Mbappe has been a mainstay player of PSG so it is quite natural that at this time PSG management continues to try to maintain Mbappe even though it looks useless, Mbappe's ability and speed are certainly a threat to the opponent's goal, but it is difficult to rely on one individual player if you have to face a team that has prioritized teamwork in their game,  If we look at a team that relies on individuals, of course, it will be difficult to win the game if the individual is closely guarded by opposing defenders, I think you must remember what happened to Haaland when his movements were restricted and guarded tightly by Rudiger in the City vs Madrid quarter-final, I think it could have happened in the Dortmund vs PSG match later.

For now, the champions league certainly has better prestige than the league trophy, so all teams playing in the champions league will give all their best abilities to continue to go as far as possible, so results and conditions of the teams in the domestic league cannot be a reference for us to predict matches in the champions league,  Dortmund and PSG have inversely proportional conditions in the league, but still both teams have the same chance to win the semi-final match later, but we cannot deny if maybe now PSG are a little more favorite because of the performance in the league and also the expensive squad they have, but we forget that motivation and mentality are also important factors in the Champions League so far.

Seems there was a consensus by PSG and Borussia Dortmund to hide their playing skills this weekend, the reason PSG nearly lost to an unexpected team like Le Havre and Borussia Dortmund suffered the humiliating defeat from RB Leipzig. May pundits gave PSG express win over Le Havre and expected Borussia Dortmund to at least get a draw from Leipzig, maybe these predictions were made ignoring the fact that they will be reserving players. But I'm quite disappointed at PSG for being unable to win a match due to the absence of a single major player Kylan Mbappe. Well, those are the things that makes it gambling. I expect their champions league match to be a very tough one because they are both prepared from what I have seen so far.
I think the two of them are preparing to meet in the semifinals later, but it's very strange that without Mbappe alone PSG was overwhelmed against the lower level teams even though they were behind. PSG managed to come back with a draw, I know that Mbappe will leave next season but seeing PSG without Mbappe it seems likely be a bad disaster next season for PSG, I believe they need to get a replacement for Mbappe next season because it is important in the title race in the domestic league and in the UCL,

Talking about the UCL, it is clear that the meeting between PSG and Dortmund seems to be going to be fierce with high tension, which is why they must have prepared it before the match starts, this semifinal match is very important for both of them because whoever wins will qualify for the final and face the other team. The other strongest, I'm sure PSG can overcome Dortmund in the semi-final match because in my opinion Dortmund is not a suitable opponent for PSG, but it comes back to each individual's views because football is always full of surprises for anyone, but maybe many people think PSG deserves to be in UCL final later compared to Dortmund.

I hope that Tuchel can do well in the semifinal match against Real Madrid because perhaps, in previous matches, Tuchel was still holding back on maximizing the potential of his players to avoid injury. But at this moment, because Bayern Munich has also failed to win the Bundesliga trophy, then Bayern Munich should be able to play more optimally with all the main players and key players it has. With these factors, Bayern Munich should be able to provide tough resistance in the match against Real Madrid later. Because yes, at least I hope that Bayern Munich can beat Real Madrid and make Bayern Munich qualify for the Champions League final this season, even though it is difficult, but in football any result can still happen.

I am also wishing Bayern Munich well, not because I have issues with Real Madrid but because I will ordinarily wish Bayern Munich could, at least, for this season. So they can have a feel of what it takes to win over the big guys in the Champions league. However, football doesn't work like that, everyone is working hard to win and they are all putting in their efforts and expertise to bring results. If that is the case, Tuchel have a lot of works to do because some of his players are also not in good standing, including Gnabry, Coman and Sané.

For the past two years they have been poor,as they almost bottled the Bundesliga League Competition last season, thanks to Borrussia Dortmund who couldn't make good use of what opportunity they had.

Thomas Tuchel just fumbled it again this season. Injuries and his strategies caused all of it though, I won't put all of the blame on him but he had a hand in this matters.
Carlo Ancellotti has a good record in the Champions League Competition against Bayern Munich and we'll see what can be done. Can remember Thomas Tuchel winning Real Madrid with Chelsea.

Mine, is not just about Bayern Munich, they all have won stuff's in a way, it's all about Harry Kane. Lad deserves silverwares to beautify his career profile.
Injuries happen. Cant lay all that on Tuchel, but the guy's gotta find ways to work with what he's got. Champions League demands flexibility, figuring out how to win with the players you have, not the ones you wish you had. And yeah, Ancelotti is no joke - the man's a Champions League specialist. Bayern NEEDS a strong win at home, cant afford to go soft. Otherwise, Madrid's gonna roll over them.

Harry Kane, man deserves a trophy, plain and simple. Works his tail off, scores goals for fun. Needs to be on a team that can actually deliver when it counts. Bayern's got the potential, maybe with the right changes, they can be that team for him. Guy like that, its long overdue for him to see his effort turn into real success.

In the Champions League it is quite difficult to predict because there are many surprises that occur and in this semifinal round only strong teams remain who have beaten many other teams so they can be in the semifinals.
Bayern Munich is not a team that can be underestimated, Bayern Munich is one of Europe's top teams, regardless of their downturn in the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich's success in getting to the semifinals is enough to prove that they have strong enough strength.

In terms of percentages, I don't put Real Madrid too much as a favorite to beat Bayern Munich, I'm still quite sure that this match will be quite fierce because this is a match between two of Europe's top teams, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
Bayern Munich made it to the semi-finals of the Champions League although they were never favourites at all, as well as Dortmund who managed to beat Atletico Madrid to reach the semi-finals this season, both teams showed us how the atmosphere in the Champions League is very different from the domestic league, so when a team like Bayern Munich performs poorly in the league of course in the Champions League they will play quite well because the knockout stages applied in the Champions League so far, this season maybe only PSG and Madrid are favourites to reach the Champions League final but I think there will be surprises that might make this season's Champions League finish far from our expectations.

Madrid are an incredible team so it's no wonder they are favourites to win the Champions League this season, but I think facing Bayern Munich will certainly be a challenge for Ancelotti's squad because Munich currently have high motivation to win trophies after their failure in the league, honestly for now I dare not say if Munich will lose easily to Madrid,  Because in my opinion Tuchel has certainly prepared his squad to face the pressure of Madrid in the first leg.

You know what is going to be funny?
If Bayern Munich and Dortmund face each other in the finals. Because I think that is going to be the most unexpected final in the Champions League.

Anyway, the most expected final that should be happening is probably between Real Madrid and PSG.
Because I do not think Real Madrid is going to lose against Bayern Munich and I also believe most of the people also expect that as well.
At the same time, no way Dortmund should actually win against PSG right?

we have seen the performance from Dortmund in the Bundesliga competition. it is pretty inconsistent, to be honest. So I do not think they will suddenly find consistency in their performance and play really well in the Champions League competition. Munich mostly because of the coach that they have. I do not think he is good enough. If we compare both the Squad, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid, I do not think we will find much difference. But the coaches have a lot of differences. And the coach of Real Madrid is far superior in tactics.

I could agree with you for the League 1 Giants ( Paris Saint Germans ) but can I say same for Borrussia Dortmund? No! That's because they're both fighting for the fourth place position on the Bundesliga League Table.
Yesterday they did all they could do but was still properly fucked up by Liepzig who I think will gets the upper hand when it comes to qualifying for the Champions League Competition next season.

Paris Saint Germans did rested some players because even Kylian Mbappe came back from the bench
It would be a tough game come Wednesday, most people are already seeing a Borrussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich finals this season but anyways, anything could still happen.

May thr best side win anyways. If that could be Luis Enrique and his lads I'd be excited for real.

I also have same reasoning too because Bayern Munich is not that backwards in performance what they are experiencing is just a drop in form as compared to how they used to be before in previous seasons so they still have that quality and professional players just like the ones you mentioned like this are basically goal scorers that can shock everyone at any time at all so they should never be underrated. Remember Bayern Munich have been a major competitor in the champions league for so many seasons now so they also deserves some respect even if they are not in their very best now.
That should be the case, looking at the squad that Bayern Munich has, it is fitting that the Real Madrid team should not underestimate Bayern Munich and I am sure that Real Madrid will not underestimate this semifinal match either.
Only a few people speculate that Real Madrid will advance to the final easily and I think everyone is entitled to their own speculation but in reality we'll see.

I am personally looking forward to the match because the two teams are the two top European teams who have had rivalry and rivalry since the last few seasons so this will also be in the semifinal match this time. I don't think seriously about the decline in Bayern Munich's performance in the Bundesliga because in my opinion when they managed to be in the semifinals meaning they were the best team among the other teams that had been eliminated.

Thomas Tuchel is still consisder average when we're talking about Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti, managers that have equipped themselves with good results. Real Madrid will always take up high level of task because they're elite team and strong enough to face any opposing opponents. Bayern Munich have no good odds of winning Real Madrid in the UCL semifinal. We know what it took the Bavarians to reach this stage this season but they just have to fight for crucial points meant to be accumulated.
In general, it's like that and no matter how smart Tuchel is, he won't be able to beat Ancelotti's squad. We know that the journey between these two teams is very different, where Bayern Munich failed to defend the domestic league title while Real Madrid was one step away from winning the domestic league. Apart from that, the results achieved by Real Madrid by beating Manchester City are proof that they have corrected the mistakes of last season and currently no team can stop them.

Even if it's Bayern Munich, I think it will still be difficult to stem the game played by Real Madrid later and Ancelotti always has a good formula in facing any opponent. Here Tuchel certainly cannot underestimate them in the slightest, especially if they can break into Real Madrid's goal first then that will ignite the enthusiasm of Ancelotti's men to become even crazier and it will be difficult for any team, including Bayern Munich, to stop it. It's just that this is still about the history of the two teams who always meet in the Champions League competition and I am still looking forward to an exciting match between the two teams.

Their poor performance this season of course made them never again seeded in the Champions League, last season's change of coach made many changes to the Bayern Munich squad on the negative side, but after many slumps I think we cannot relate this to the injuries that befell Bayern Munich because indeed at that time only two Bayern players were injured namely Coman and Gnabri and even then they had managed to anticipate with The arrival of Bryan Zaragoza, but from the slump that befell Bayern Munich in domestic competitions, of course fans should be grateful because currently Bayern Munich can still compete in the Champions League.

Against Madrid in the semi-finals of course makes Bayern Munich's journey will be quite difficult, because at the moment Madrid are the strongest team competing in the Champions League, but I think Tuchel still has a great chance to win the Champions League this season regardless of their status as underdogs this season, I think in this match will be a match that relies on intelligence in the application of the game strategy of both coaches,  Facing Madrid, of course, Bayern Munich need all their players in top condition and of course Kane will be the hope and differentiator for Munich later in breaking down Madrid's defense.

I agree with this, Bayern should not be underestimated, especially since they have very good matches, and they have Kane, Sane, Gnabry, these guys know how to score. Real are in great shape now, but we need to see how the first match ends, especially since for Real it will be an away game, and Bayern looks better at home. The confrontation between these teams has always been difficult, and the first match will be especially important for Bayern, if they cannot win at home, then in Madrid it will be almost impossible to do so.

Sincerely the match is going to be tough and probably the real final of this champions league event, both teams are on top form and both have a good manager that has also proved themselves to be champions league winners, bayern suffered lose in their league and is unable to seize the title of winner against Bayer leverkusen and that poses a question if they are the better side to win the champions league.

Bayern has been on a top notch finishing this season and that is undeniably true and same with real madrid, real Madrid has a good forward set with vinicius as a real speedster that can forward any counter, real Madrid has a lot of players to be scared of in this upcoming match and most of all their zeal and passion to hold the title once again ever and claim their birth right tingles me to place my bet on real Madrid. The question is can bayern not concive against real Madrid that has both a sold defence and attack while bayern has more of an attack than defence and it even cost them their own league title. My bet is on real Madrid and that is because they have a more sold team than bayern in terms of overall strength, but miracles do happen as in the case of man City vs real Madrid, everyone was sure that man City had it in their hands, so many chances missed, they had kept Madrid at defence for more than all the second halve, everyone was tired but luck was on their side as the penalty coin rolled to them, would we be expecting a tough match like the one we just witnessed against man City and real Madrid or would the winner be already decide in the first leg playoffs.
These teams are two great teams in the uCl as they both have some good track record of successes in the ucl as a whole. Even against each other, you can see a fierce rivalry between them and as such that will spur up the moment of action when they both meet each other later this week.

The history between these teams is one that makes us look forward to what this fixture holds for us. I think the winner of this fixture is pretty known but what will be lovely is us seeing both teams able to show out what they’ve got on the pitch of play. Both teams have different strengths and weaknesses and as such, you will sure expect a lot from this match.

Bayern Munich have a very fierce attack that can score goals but that attack isn’t clinical enough and when you check the defense of this Bayern side, you’re sure going to see enough lapses. Real Madrid are very well balanced in the attack and defense as you can see how they were able to maintain Man City and also get the goals from their shaped paced attackers.

The strength and weaknesses of these teams is a big testament to how this game will end as it will sure end in favor of Real Madrid because they’re better well placed than this current Bayern squad. The match will sure be an exciting and entertaining one and I’m looking forward to it already.

Even if beyern should have the capacity to win i would not want them to since they are playing against real Madrid and in reality i know winning Madrid will be another serious challenge for them,  and Madrid actually deserves the trophy. Both of them truly want to win. Result will determine who the winner will be, its going to be a tough one for both of them.

Everyone expects Bayern Munich to play with their best. But it doesn't mean Bayern Munich will defeat Real Madrid. With the current condition in Bayern team, I am not sure Bayern Munich will defeat Real Madrid. Tuchel will leave Bayern Munich and they are experiencing bad season in Bundesliga. There should be no good mentality of the players with this condition. Meanwhile Real Madrid is in a good condition because they won La Liga and expect to win again the UCL trophy. So, I believe Real Madrid will have no problem to eliminate Bayern Munich in semi-final. Real Madrid will go to the final round, they probably will meet PSG in the final match.
Exactly what am saying Bayern Munich will find it very  difficult to be able to defeat real Madrid, Madrid winning the city shows that they are more ready than before. They want to claim the title by all means. And it is called a league. Every other thing is expected everyone will to put all energy they could.

Tuchel leaving Bayern Munich will course more damages to there performance. But eventually if he leave they won't have a choice than to adapt and learn to accept his absence. And Madrid meeting psg has been what have been expecting.  So that is why I have so much confidence that Madrid will eliminate Bayern in the semi-finals.
