Fc Porto defense is as solid as rock but I still have believe in Arsenal to make a turn around in today's match. The good thing here is that Arsenal is playing at their home ground and we all know how strong every team is while playing at their regular play ground. The cheers from the fans and conversant ground will definitely have impacts on their performance. Bayern Munich did it last week and Arsenal can do it too, they already did in the group stage and this is the right time to repeat the history. Arsenal recent performance is really commendable, being eliminated in the UCL now will be very bad experience as they currently occupied the top spot of the domestic league table.
Correct. I also bet that Arsenal will win in the second leg because I believe Arsenal can do it in front of their own supporters. Apart from that I see players like Jorginio, Havertz, Jesus, Zinny all have experience in the Champions League and most of the players in this team have experience of hostilities from overseas clubs in the Europa League and conferences. So I think it was a good mix of mental strength to beat Porto.

Indeed Porto have a solid defence, as they have a defender like Pepe who has more Champions League appearances than all Arsenal players combined. Arsenal also have to be prepared for Porto's bus parking tactics, but in my opinion coach Arteta has learned from the first leg and has prepared a strategy to overcome it and what is clear is that Arsenal must be able to score a goal in the early minutes so that victory with a difference of 3 goals is easy to achieve.

It's true, even though Porto does have a very strong defense, I am also sure that Arsenal as the host will be able to create gaps in Porto's defense and score at least 2 goals. Because Arsenal has recently become better at building attacks and defending. I think Arteta will create a strategy that means Porto's defense will no longer be considered strong. And the position as host always makes a team have a stronger mentality because they get support from supporters at the stadium. And it would be very difficult to believe if Arsenal failed to advance further in the UCL.

If Arteta is able to make the Arsenal squad play with much more confidence and with high motivation then I am also sure that Arsenal will win the second leg quite easily. It's just that the pressure in Champions League matches is much heavier than matches in the Premier League. So Arsenal must get used to this if they want to progress further in the UCL. I am sure that if Arsenal can play with maximum performance then tomorrow's match against Porto will be quite easy for Arsenal. Because I feel optimistic about Arsenal's recent rapid progress. The only problem that Arteta has to think about is how to make Porto show gaps in defense in tomorrow's match. Because we know Porto's defense is quite scary.

As I said the other day, if the Gunners will play all out in this second leg when they host Porto at the Emirates. because, Arteta has no choice but to win this match with a big score to win on aggregate and qualify for the next round. in this match, Arteta will apply the same pattern with the 4-3-3 system that Arteta usually relies on. referring to Arsenal's predicted line-up, Kiwior is likely to remain the main starter. or it could be that Arteta will directly field Zinchenko as his starting eleven in this match. in central midfield, it is likely that Jorginho will be played. while Martinelli's status is in doubt. in this match, it looks like Arteta will apply a strategy of two rotating center forwards, namely, Kai Haveertz and Leandro Trossard. the rest is filled by core players who are usually Arteta's mainstay. As for Partey, he will be needed in the second half.
Well, because this match is being held at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal should be motivated to win the match by overthrowing Porto. moreover, playing in front of the Gunners' own supporters. Moral support, will be very helpful for the overall team mentality. So, I believe Arsenal will perform very well in this match. plus, overthrowing Porto with a fairly large score.

In the Porto stronghold, no matter how strong their defense line is. If the Arsenal players are on fire, then Sergio Conceicao's squad will also be struggling to handle attack after attack launched by the Gunners players. Moreover, winning by an aggregate of one goal does not make Porto safe. Like it or not, the coach must prepare a strategy for his team. Referring to the prediction I referred to, Porto will continue to apply the 4-3-2-1 pattern. In this match too, based on the betting exchange, Arsenal is far superior with odds @1.23, while Porto is at @13.00. obviously, there seems to be a clear gap between the two teams. well, to confirm this match, let's wait for the showdown between these two teams early in the morning, in my country's time.

I am not sure if Arsenal will win against Porto. Undoubtedly, Arsenal is a stronger team than Porto. However, Arsenal lost the first leg 1–0. Arsenal were defeated More importantly, Arsenal's performance was very poor. Arsenal players were not able to make an on-target shot in the entire match. It is difficult to survive such a poor performance in the Champions League. If Arsenal perform like this in the second leg match, the team will not be able to qualify for the quarter finals.

I am looking forward to the Barcelona vs Napoli match. Both teams are considered favorites in this match. As the performance of both is erratic now. So it becomes difficult to predict which team will win the second leg match. But the match is Barcelona's home match. So it will be very difficult for Napoli to win against Barcelona in this match.
I was one person who was disappointed with Arsenal's performance in the first leg because this club was very much the favorite to win the match, knowing that Arsenal's performance was extraordinary in the Premier League, but in the Champions League, Arsenal's performance looked ordinary and it was difficult to keep up with their opponents, especially when facing Porto in their first leg were unable to create a shot on target even though they played more dominantly in the match. Until finally Porto was able to create their first lead and Arsenal were unable to equalize because Porto did it in the final round of the match so to finish the second leg at least Arsenal had to play be more aggressive and carry out effective attacks to be able to provide resistance that makes it difficult for the visiting club.

Barcelona's match with Napoli is of course one of the matches that you don't want to miss because these two clubs are not completely consistent, but it is clear that Barcelona is the favorite in the match because Barcelona has a bigger chance of winning than Napoli, but Barcelona must try hard to win. was able to win it because Barcelona's performance this season was slightly reduced, especially Barcelona's attack line which was not performing optimally so Xavi had to be clever in rotating players so that Bracelona would have strong stamina in facing Napoli later.

Correct. One goal ahead of Arsenal does not guarantee that Porto is safe, of course this second leg match will be the biggest test for Porto to defend their back line so as not to concede because of course Arsenal will appear to attack from the start.

Moreover, Arsenal is currently on a trend of 4 consecutive wins at home, all of which occurred in the domestic league. From these 4 wins, Arsenal managed to score 14 goals and only conceded 3 goals. So overall this season Arsenal have played 18 home games. Arsenal achieved 14 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats.

Fc Porto defense is as solid as rock but I still have believe in Arsenal to make a turn around in today's match. Actually it is not difficult for Arsenal to turn things around in the second leg because Arsenal is only 1 goal behind so Arsenal still has the opportunity to apply big pressure at home. I know Arsenal's performance is very strong when playing at home even though the opponent is not an easy team but I am sure Arsenal can still fight to advance to the quarter-finals and get rid of Porto. I'm sure Arsenal's journey doesn't end here because Arsenal fans will continue to support their favorite team directly and this will definitely increase their self-confidence.

I also hope if Arsenal can qualify for the next round and hope Arsenal can turn things around in the second leg, but I think the game will not be as easy as you think guys, although actually 1-0 aggregate is not a big enough aggregate but sometimes a team will find it difficult to avenge the defeat in the first leg because they are burdened,  At the moment I think Arsenal's chances are still 50:50 for them to qualify for the next round and most likely Porto will give Arsenal a hard time throughout the game and maybe even Porto will win the game.

Arsenal have hopes of getting away with a record they have to be Wary of Porto coming in with confidence after back-to-back wins in the league and Surely a 1-0 win over Arsenal in the first leg will make Porto journey a little easier in that game, I think with a lot of confidence and also not favourites in the game then,  The Porto players will make them play carefree in the match and surely it will make their motivation and performance increase to be able to win the second leg and Qualify for the round of 8.

One thing with premier League fans is that they underrate other leagues too much. I remember when Manchester United was about to play Villarreal in the Europa final some years back, all United fans and former players said it was a walk over. Maybe if they had taken time and watched other leagues they would have known better. Porto are not pushovers. They won't go to the Emirates to make things "easy" for Arsenal.
I know Arsenal are favourites but saying they'll win easily might not be true.
I don't know how easily with Premier League fans underrate with other competition after seeing the first leg match result Arsenal defeated by FC Porto and the poor statistic without any one shots or target made by Arsenal. Have difference level and atmosphere for every teams when participating in Champion League and most of team want to reach higher level round to earn much commission. I think Premier League competition in this season have been over after seeing  Manchester United and Newcastle United failed in group stage round and left Manchester City are qualifying to the next round.
Porto have capital winning one goal on the first leg, away match to the Emirates Stadium won't get loss and try to defend their winning one goal for qualifying to quarter final as the only one of Portugal League participants.

UCL always gives a surprise and this time Arsenal lost 1 goal in the first leg. I think not many goals and Arsenal are able to work in the second leg. I feel sure Emirates stadium will be hell for Porto. They will find it difficult to develop the game. I think Arsenal will try to dominate and want to score quickly. With the games we have seen, Arsenal have a great chance. Porto, on the other hand, are likely to play more closed and counter-attack.

The UEFA Champions League is tough and every elite team that qualify keeps making good moves to enchanced their performance in the league, it's not easy but accomplishable when you have the right energy to push forward. Mikel Arteta is doing everything to hook his team to be the best in the English Premier League and also in the UEFA. Though Arsenal have an important game in UCL. Arsenal will face Porto and its a must win game for them, anything lesser than the require expectations, it means they're been eliminated.
An opportunity that Arsenal must take advantage of, fans will be very disappointed if their favorite team is eliminated in the round of 16.  Acting as hosts at the Emirates will certainly give you greater confidence, Arsenal has a big chance to turn things around in the second leg. Arteta must think of an effective strategy to beat the Portuguese representative, although it must be admitted that the match is predicted to be very troublesome for Arsenal, to catch up on the goal deficit.

PSV are having a really enormous season in the Eredivisie. However I don't believe they are strong enough to eliminate Dortmund in this round. Dortmund could have already won the first leg but PSV managed to get a draw. But this time I think Dortmund will finish the job in Germany. They should be able to show the quality gap in this game.

I know Dortmund aren't doing well in the Bundesliga. Their Champions League chance is in danger as they might finish out of top four as well. However their performance in the Champions League has been more impressive. Considering their group phase performance they should be able to get past PSV too.  Smiley
There is no doubt Borussia Dortmund is big club with having too much experience and sources for having the best performance in this league, but their performance in this season is on decline even now they are facing problems for having their spot in Champions League for the next season as well but still this could be no easy game because we have PSV at his best and their performance in Eredivisie is at the top while they were also good in early matches of the event this could be good experience for them and if the able to won surely this could be historic success because now in next season their entry is again settled and this win brings good confidence for the players and team as well.

Borussia Dortmund which is famous for having top quality players are currently at their lowest level because their current squad is not near at his best which is surely problem for them.

Arsenal isn't a strong team for this season only. Arsenal is a strong team of EPL for every season. That's why it is surprising that Arsenal got a defeat with 1 goal in the Leg 1 against Porto. I think Arsenal will surprise Porto in the Leg2, when Arsenal plays against them at home tomorrow. I believe it won't be difficult for Arsenal to score 2 goals or more in the Leg 2. Playing at home always gives the benefit, they will have a bigger support and the players must be more motivated to win the match.

It is difficult to win against Inter Milan. They are the finalist of UCL last season, they also become stronger this season. I think it is better to focus on fighting to secure the UCL zone in La Liga. There is still some tough matches in the next matches.

I don't get you, are you saying that Arsenal are not strong this season? Well from how Arteta have been managing the team I feel he's doing a great job in making Arsenal to be a team that other teams will be afraid to play against especially in the Champions League and hosting Porto after losing to a goal in the first leg would be a second chance to redeem themselves with all the goals and how well they have been playing in the EPL.
I think Porto can't stand the pressure they're going to get at the Emirates Stadium, for now is still a goal that's separating both teams but at the sound of the whistle the whole stadium would go against visitors and I believe Arteta have learnt his lesson from the first leg and he has a new plan to eliminate Porto from the UCL.

Since people know Arsenal as a strong team in this season, I believe victory is sure for Arsenal to achieve  from Porto that will make others team to be afraid of them in this season because, they embraced new opportunity to take the first position from Liverpool in the premier league table and it will give them more strength to face Porto to disgrace them with many goals in this meeting.

Atletico Madrid coach have to wake up from sleep to do what will make his players to return back to their good performance, so that people will begin to believe in them in this UEFA champions league and predict for their favour.

This game is going to be more difficult for Arsenal than the way we think. We just think because they will be playing at Emirate stadium against FC Porto, that it's going to give them added advantage,I believe there is something that home crowd doest to football, but judging from how the first leg against Porto went, and how they played Àrsenal in that match,I can only say,if Arsenal are to win that match, they must be of the best composure, and avoid every form of mistake that will make FC Porto score a goal, because if they do,the match will be more difficult because Arsenal will even be looking for more Chances to score more goals.because if they don't score,it will actually go in favour of Porto.

In this case, many people believe that Real Madrid will be far superior to Leipzig in the second leg. But apparently, it was far from predictions, and they couldn't even be that optimal at home. This is definitely quite disappointing. But what else can I do? the important thing is that Real Madrid enters the quarter finals. they have to be extra strong later.
Actually in this case I think regardless of the result received in the end it was Madrid who qualified. Many regretted the draw in this match because the expectations for Madrid to win were too high in my opinion even though their opponent was one of the clubs that was quite troublesome and always subscribed to the last 16 of the Champions League in the last few seasons.
Many regretted Madrid's results, perhaps they had a big ambition that Madrid could continue to win with a score that was enough to make the bet end well but in the end Madrid's goal was only to hold Leipzig's draw for the worst possibility so that they could qualify for the next phase.
Indeed, in this case, Leipzig is not a random club that can be easily suppressed. However, if you look at the match statistics, Real Madrid should have taken advantage of several opportunities to take the lead, however, some of them were wasted. Maybe that's what makes us a little disappointed, especially with the euphoria that Real Madrid is echoing about being one of the clubs that will enter the final later. However, with performance like this, this would actually be quite worrying.

But yes, the important thing is that Real Madrid has qualified, once again, Ancelotti can definitely bring their squad to be much better in the next match. Because, it won't happen easily.

We are awating for the tomorrow matches, tehre are still seevral clubs that must play in round 16.

An "easy 90 minutes" you say. Lol. This is funny considering the fact that Arsenal were firing just like this before they went to Portugal and couldn't get a shot on target. The champions League is a different ball game. It is with this kind of overconfidence that Arsenal lost the first leg.
I agree that Arsenal will press a lot but we all know how football is, a goal from Porto will make things more difficult from Arsenal.

I'm not at all surprised about such assumptions from some Arsenal fans, they are overly optimistic about big things but it hasn't been proven yet. Arsenal have done a good job every season, but they are just a failed team that has not been able to win the title under Arteta. This season could be different, but Arsenal's chances in the Champions League are no higher than other representatives of the Premier League.

If we talk about favorites, then Real Madrid, Manchester City, PSG and Bayern Munich are the favorites so far, but Arsenal cannot necessarily be favorites when they have not yet decided their fate in the second leg of the round of 16. The match against Porto in the second leg is just as difficult as the first leg, so both have the chance to win a ticket to the quarter-finals regardless of who is the favorite.

It would be an easy 90 minute win for Arsenal. Porto might have a lead over goal but they are no match to what Arsenal is now. The next game is going to be in a much different context as well. Arsenal has placed themselves as the contender for title of the premier league and the match is being hosted in Etihad stadium, the home ground of Arsenal.

Porto will try defensive tactics because they already have the advantage in the first leg. Porto can play very well with their defense. This can be seen from the first leg. But Arsenal played as host in this match. That will give them additional morale and motivation to win the match. Even though it was difficult to win the match against Brentford, I think the match against Porto will be different because Arteta will really prepare a strategy and Arsenal will go all out to win the match. I predict Arsenal will progress to the next round.
Having a narrow lead of one goal in the first leg is still not necessarily safe for FC Porto in the second leg which they will play tomorrow. Because Arsenal is also a quite dangerous team when playing in the Champions League with the motivation of being the host, FC Porto still has to try to score a goal in the second leg even though they also have to make a fairly good defensive strategy because if the lead is still very small, of course FC Porto themselves must be aware that they still need to fight hard at home to Arsenal.
It does not guarantee that they will be safe but if in the end Arsenal do the same pattern as in the first leg then Porto's situation is much more favorable.
Arsenal's scheme was actually quite good where they had possession of the ball and several times initiated attacks in the first leg before but their finishing was poor which made the opportunities created none on target they got and if their performance in the second leg will be the same as what they showed in the first leg then I certainly doubt Arsenal can make a difference at the Emirates later.

But Arteta also seems to be aware of that and in recent weeks in the domestic competition they have changed enough where the quality of their attacks is better and this could be a good weapon for Arsenal to provide different results and reverse the aggregate in the second leg.

Exactly. You can predict a club to win a match and they end up losing to it. We have seen that happen countless times, I hope it won't be Arsenal's position this time because they need the win to prove a point that they are back in contesting for big league trophies like the Champions League and Premier League.

Porto a goal lead against Arsenal, is not that much in my opinion, since Arsenal can score more than a goal in a match. Arsenal winning Porto is very certain
