For the matches played so far in the round of 16 games of the champions league, the teams that I see them likely to make it out of that stage are Manchester City, Bayern Munich, PSG and Real Madrid. This is irrespective of their results in the first leg because I feel it won’t matter to some of them as they will be able to fight themselves out and make it to the next round of the competition. Amongst these teams, they are all doing great and have experience in the league, so triumphing to the next round of the competition shouldn’t be something hard for them to achieve.

Wether Thomas Tuchel accepts to take the blames and responsibility of their poor results in Bayern Munich's last two games, the truth is that his poor tactical approaches in those two important matches were the the reason behind the disappointing results.
Currently, reports have it that Tuchel is very likely to lose his job as the manager of Bayern Munich should they be eliminated from the UEFA Champions League competition by Lazio who already lead the tie by a goal to nil. If Thomas Tuchel wants to remain as the manager of  Bayern Munich beyond the end of the season, he must win either the UEFA Champions League title or the German Bundesliga and that I think will be very difficult for him to achieve

It's bizzare that two champions of two league are struggling and haven't quite lived up to their usual standards this season. But actually Barcelona is worsening compared to their previous weeks, while Napoli is getting better. The lack of Champions League experience could indeed be a hurdle for Napoli, especially against a seasoned European contender like Barcelona. However, the unpredictability of football means that anything can happen on the day, and Napoli shouldn't be discounted entirely.

As for the Atletico Madrid vs. Inter Milan match, it's shaping up to be a fascinating encounter. Thomas Tuchel shares the blame for the first defeats of Bayern Munich and he promised to set things right in the second leg. He's also facing challenges in Bundesliga and this is definitely not the time to relent around but execute good job for the team. Bayern Munich are desperate to enter key phases in the UEFA Champions League but they can't achieve that without striving harder in matches. Bayern Munich losing the first round of 16 to Lazio. It's nothing serious because I'm confident the Bavarians always have the upper hand of coming back stronger. It's definitely going to be a massive epic comeback.

I would really be surprised if in the end Leipzig progresses to the next round by beating Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. Of course this is not desirable, especially because Real Madrid is the king of the Champions League, but playing at home is a big advantage for Real Madrid. Leipzig really made things difficult in the first leg and Real Madrid were lucky not to concede a goal until the end of the match.

Bayern Munich also has home advantage which allows them to appear more dominant than Lazio. Bayern Munich must ensure a home win in the leg to qualify for the quarter-finals, and that is a possibility that I think will happen in the second leg. Bayern Munich are still favorites even though they lost 0-1 in the first leg, they are certainly better than Lazio.

PSG must lock in its chances after winning 2-0 at home. Luis Enrique should not risk too many risks in the second leg by making several rotations, of course for me that is not a wise choice even though he is ahead. But PSG's chances are certainly better to qualify after having 2 goals in the first leg.

Yes Leipzig were unfortunate to draw Real Madrid and that game looks like it will be Madrid’s own for taking even in the second leg except a shocker, but let’s not over exaggerated the time for them. There game against Monchengladbach this weekend doesn’t seems to me like a big match although it is against a big club but Monchengladbach have been awful this season and that’s why they are languishing in the 13 position on the log. If Leipzig wants to rotate their team then I think they should against Monchengladbach although not that too much just 2-3 players and then take more off in the second half.


Both Barcelona and Napoli seem to be the best to compete against each other at the moment. Both teams have been shadows of themselves this season.  Napoli due to lack of champions league experience I think will suffer more than Barcelona who have only this trophy left to turn to with the others already slip up there hands. Barcelona can win if at all Xavi plays his best players from team but seriously this is one tricky encounter.

It looks to be one of those games which can go just any where, I will even predict the Atletico vs Inter Milan than that game. Inter looks more likely to win the game with their current forms in consideration, inter under Inzhagi have been sensational and I don’t think Simeone men could hold them

I think RB Leipzig may have enough time to prepare for the second leg of the encounter but they may never have the opportunity the had at home playing in Spain against Real Madrid, the performance of Leipzig can't be rated as good for a team that failed to score a goal at home against a team they shouldn't have allowed to get 3 point in their own home ground it's really disappointing and i doubt it they can overturn the scorelibe when they travel to face Real Madrid in front of their fans in the second leg.

Football is still unpredictable but looking at the winning streak of Real Madrid and their unbeaten run in the champions League this season I think it's very good to point to the RB Leipzig team to play their best or go back and prepare for next champions League.

Indeed they still have time to meet in Leg 2 later but when looking at the first leg where Madrid excelled in the away match actually even though Leipzig's performance was quite good in this first leg but when they play at the Bernabeu it is not a guarantee that they will be able to reverse the score in the match later.
The second leg will be in the first week of March and that means there are about 2 weeks for Leipzig to prepare their plans but on the other hand the Bernabeu could also be a graveyard for them in the end.

Leipzig's situation is very difficult now but even so I think they must also understand that it will be a difficult thing if Madrid still plays very well even without a pure center-back like this time.

You're right. Barcelona and Napoli are experiencing a bad season. They are decreasing their performance during this season. Although they played quite well in UCL, people doubt these teams to go far in UCL. However, if we consider the current condition of these teams, Barcelona should be better. I'm sure Barcelona is strong enough to beat Napoli. Although Napoli will play with their full team, I still bet Barcelona to win the match. Considering the tactic, Xavi must be better than Napoli coach.

In the recent time and judging from the overall performance of Napoli and Barcelona in the champions league, I will say that Napoli are more important and successful in the champions league than Barcelona. Xavi has never been outstanding in the champions league or even any other European competition since his reign as Barcelona coach, so not performing well this season is not a surprise to anyone. It will only be a surprise when they are struggling in the Spanish league.

Napoli does play in English Premier League (EPL), rather in the Serial A. This must be a big blunder.

The best Leipzig can get from Real Madrid in their next meeting will be a draw because Real Madrid is stopping at nothing to making sure they get to the finals of the champions league and as much as possible claim the title from the cure defending champions Manchester city who is also doing same to making sure they are the winners again.

I don't expect to see Real Madrid perform any less than winning because they had it difficult in the first leg but I think they had learnt their lessons from that game and are going to by next game make sure they go against all odds to win or get a draw which will still keep them at the advantage of qualifying for the next rounds of the game as I'm really afraid Leipzig may end their champions league journey this season by the end of the second leg of the game against Real Madrid.

Quite interesting indeed, this is a match between a Serie A team v a La Liga team and yes, lately it seems like Barcelona and Atletico are both not in their best form. For the Napoli vs Barcelona, I think Napoli will be going through because Barcelona team isn’t too balanced to be able to challenge Napoli at all.

 Napoli will use their fast paced attackers to hit at Barcelona who doesn’t have an excellent defense line to be able to withstand the pressure of Napoli. Well Barcelona will have to be wary of that if they want to secure a quater final spot from this fixture, Napoli is not a team to toy with, they'll hit back with all they got and make the game very though for Barcelona.
