But to be honest I don't see Mbappe leaving. Because if he were to leave, we already would have heard some rumors by now. Real Madrid also said they wouldn't be buying any new players, so Mbappe wouldn't be joining Real Madrid. And I don't think any other team can afford him.

If Mbappe leaves PSG it will affect them both in the uefa champions league and the domestic league, because Mbappe is PSG's point man, and PSG does not have any other player who can fill Mbappe position if he leaves for another club. Yes, I agree with you that PSG's squad was better in previous years, but you are wrong about this. PSG still has the possibility of winning the UCL this year, although it is difficult. Paris Saint Germaine are undoubtedly the best French team at the moment and have dominated the French football for almost the last one decade but one thing they're yet to do is to win the UEFA champions league competition. In recent years, Paris Saint Germaine's management has spent hugely to sign the best players in the world to the club and despite all these efforts of the management, Paris Saint Germaine are yet to have a taste of how it feels to be a European champion.
Their current manager Luis Enrique is already a winner of the competition and we believe he's gonna steer them to greatness in no distant but that's if the club management will continue to believe in the Spaniard's managerial experience.

Drastically difference level between Ligue 1 and UEFA Champion League matches, PSG easily manage top standings position in Ligue 1 but face difficult how to qualify next round in Champion League and this season got lucky with goals difference from AC Milan after having the same points. Agree with your opinion about PSG is not favorite team in Champion League regarding their performance in Ligue 1 with not high compete fail for winning all domestic league matches.

The rumors are not yet visible, but who knows in the next few days it will be if Mbappe really wants to leave. However, if Mbappe himself doesn't want to leave or the fee for being approached by another team feels too big and expensive, maybe that's what's keeping the rumors from surfacing now.
