There is no team better than PSG in group F even though they lost to Newcastle 4-1 in the first meeting. PSG has only suffered 1 defeat from 3 matches, so that is why it deserves to be considered the most effective instead of other teams from the same group.

The Champions league is not like the regular countries league we have that prioritizes goal differences but they prioritize the head to head because they believe everyone will uses his home game as an advantage against the other teams. Before the new editions there were times where when there was draw in the knockout stages the team that scored the more away number of goals will go ahead but they change it. So it is nothing new, if Newcastle manages to win with same score line against Dortmund then they will make use of the goal difference.

As far as I know, this is calculated based on H2H and Dortmund is superior to Newcastle after they managed to win over the English representative at Newcastle's home ground recently.
Group F is the fiercest group and I don't think that AC Milan's chance of qualifying is very small because there are still 3 matches left and anything is still possible to happen and in fact I think all the teams in Group F still have the same chance of making it. qualify from the group phase, even though PSG are slightly favored because they have won 2 times.

This is indeed a strong group as you said. Although yesterday match i predicted Newcastle to win the game. Am still surprised the opposite happened. Well this is football and this is Champions league any team can turn out to be a threat regardless of the strength of that team in their individual league. Seriously I cant wait to see the teams that will survive this group stage at the end. I was hoping it would be Newcastle and PSG but the way it seems now its difficult to predict who will survive. My favorite here is Newcastle I want to see all England team qualify at least in this first group stage. I love the way Newcastle play and they always try to understand the nature of every game, if they noticed the game is not going in there favor they will switch to a defensive game and make it very difficult for their opponent to score, and they will put them in a very difficult situation, PSG is the one currently topping the table for group F and if its about performance pSG have a better chance Newcastle.
