but I instead think that Milan vs Liverpool will be less interesting than Manchester City against Inter due to the two teams wanting a rematch in every way so it won't be a static match with a foregone conclusion, we'll see anyway
I would say both matches have significant value to their fanbases, but history wise, and if you are a neutral, you would probably favor the AC Milan vs Liverpool match. They played against each other in two finals in the last decade, both are great teams and have always been that way.
AC Milan is a transitioning team, and aren't doing that good in the league right now. They are struggling to find their sweet spot and see themselves on the 9th spot in the Serie A after 4 games, with a total of 5 points. Not so solid, is it?
Liverpool on the other hand are going to be really hungry after their disappointing loss against Forest, a team no one expected them to lose against. The game is in San Siro, definitely a difficult day for any visiting team, should be the same for Liverpool, as well.
The thing is that this match is iconic, it reminds us of that final when City won their UCL for the first time and it was against Inter where I remember that Lukaku eventually missed all the opportunities, that was something impressive, seeing Pipo Inzhagi's face was something impressive, I couldn't believe it, however I think it's a good, interesting revenge match and they can make the difference this time, I see that City is very good, Inter too, but I think that if both play very well Inter can take the victory, since they are playing with that feeling of what could not be done before.
Inter Milan vs City might go for penalty in the end. you know, both managers know enough football to out-tactic the other in their own ways. Erling Haaland started the season in dream-like form, and he is expected to keep firing his shots in the Inter goal. On the other hand, Inter is not looking too bad either, as they are also yet to lose a game this season, having racked 8 points from 4 games in the league. Both of these games will be amazing to watch, for sure.
