You know the Champions league game is always a game that can not be predicted because of the the kind of teams that are always present in the league with good experience.  It is possible for Bayer Leverkusen to make the competition to be interesting but it is hard to predict if they will reach the finals. The competition in champions league is always tough,  strong teams don't joke with champions league  most times it is common to see teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City,  PSG,  Bayern Munich at the end of the competition,  these are experience teams that are used to champions league. Bayer Leverkusen have a good coach but I'm not believing it will be the reason for them to get to the final.
Just as you mentioned, Champions League is different from any other tournament in the club side, it is the biggest competition in the Europe and the best teams in the world do compete in the Champions League; I don’t think Leverkusen can be mentioned among the favorites to win the title despite their performance in the just concluded season.

Leverkusen is a good team with team work I must say, but rating them above teams like Manchester City, Barcelona, Inter Milan, and other big teams in the Champions League is not proper because these teams can do better than Leverkusen in the Champions League.

On the other hand, Leverkusen can still display and outstanding performance in the Champions Next season just as they did in the Europa League, but it will be very difficult for them to reach the final.

Many predict that Bayer Leverkusen will be the center of attention in the next Champions League and want to see how Xabi Alonso competes with many outstanding coaches who have experience in the Champions League, but we cannot guarantee to what extent Leverkusen can survive in the Champions League despite the previous unbeaten achievements, it is possible but it may not be what we imagine or go the other way and cannot survive even in the group qualification.

But it is interesting how far Xabi Alonso will take Bayer Leverkusen, whether it will reach the final like Dortmund or not.

I know he is saying this because of what Xabi Alonso achieved last season, thank God he is still with Leverkusen, and his team will be playing in the Champions league  next season,it is then we'll see if Alonso will come to champions league to do unbeaten,or he will allow other teams to flog his team.
To be frank,I really admire the work he worked last season, infact everybody loved it because Bayern had already taken the league to be a farmer's zone, thank God Alonso came, and turned Leverkusen to a team that can win a league unbeaten,it is really unbelievable.

Looking consistent performance of Bayern Leverkusen in this season make them become high intention team for next season will appearance in Champion League has potential make unbeaten record after invisible winning Bundesliga this season. Actually drastically difference level between Europe League and Champion League although Bayern Leverkusen only got one loss in Europe League can't guarantee easily in Champion League winning every matches because get many difficult team since phase round exactly after UEFA adopting new format and each team will play 8 matches on phase group.

I can't speculate too far with Bayern Leverkusen performance in Champion League next season, although most of their old player defend and recently Xabi Alonso sign some top players but need more consistent performance when playing in higher level competition such as Champion League.

It looks somehow appropriate to start predicting Bayern Leverkusen performance in the Champions League because the competition is different and tougher than other competitions that they participated in, although with no doubt Bayern Leverkusen are strong with good players, and I believe they can also perform well in the Champions League since they were unbeaten in their previous competitions.

This makes me believe that even if they become champions, they will still do better, but we should hype them too much because we know that most of the teams they willThe teams in the Champions League are not the same as the ones they were playing with in the European League. There are many teams here that are far better and even have more experience than them, so let’s keep our eyes on them and see what they will do if the season starts.

Apart from the fact that Real Madrid have a nice squad, there are other competitive teams like Liverpool that you just mentioned though i doubt their ability since Jurgen Klopp will be ending his coaching Job with the team the other clubs includes, Manchester city, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, PSG and Arsenal those are the teams with fairly good squad that can be able to compete the Champions league trophy with Real Madrid.

The UEFA Champions League is never considered simple, there's actually good proportions of winning. Real Madrid, Manchester City and Liverpool have proven to be prominent in recent seasons and having a bright future ahead is the deal. Real Madrid is the best club because they've become one of the successful club. While for other elite team that's mainly struggling to win the UCL trophy, really a tough moment.
The Champions league is very competitive, a league among champions from different leagues is supposingly to be a tough one and for Madrid to keep on winning it shows their greatness compared to other champions. This coming Champions league will be a tough one compared to the last, each qualified teams are currently on a good form to withstand as much  competitor so the fight for the title won't be an easy one but yet Madrid still has it at the tip of their fingers as they are more likely the favourites to win it again. Manchester City will put on a good fight same with Arsenal and probably among the best from Leverkusen base on peoples speculation.

I also don't want to have high expectations for Bayer Leverkusen next season in the Champions League, because no matter how good Bayer Leverkusen is, Bayer Leverkusen still doesn't have a good chance of getting good results in European competitions. Indeed, Bayer Leverkusen is still very likely to get good results also in the Bundesliga next season but even so, repeating to be unbeaten is certainly a target that will be difficult to obtain. But even so, I am personally still quite confident that Bayer Leverkusen will still get good results in the Bundesliga, but for the Champion League I think it is difficult for Bayer Leverkusen to qualify for the final match. But indeed, if Xavi still manages to make Bayer Leverkusen consistent with an impressive performance, then most likely Bayer Leverkusen still has a chance to qualify for the quarter-finals and maybe up to the semifinals.

But I was really impressed with the efforts of Dortmund during the last season of champions league with their super impressive games they succeeded to the finals. I least expected it from them even though they've done it before and have the track record of winning the Champions league in 1997. For Bayer Leverkusen, it could be a different thing since I don't think they have ever had the opportunity before. Why everyone is talking about Leverkusen is because of their great performance at the league level, but that doesn't really mean they can do the same thing at the UEFA Champions league.

What's interesting, and also the big question, is whether Alonso will be able to maintain his squad's performance in the new season. The reason is, we don't even know anything about how Leverkusen will carry out their matches with a fairly busy schedule and competing in a more prestigious competition, namely the Champions League. I can't speculate and assume too far, before we see it, also when they start their Domestic League competition. there are many teams that emerge, they win, then sink the following season. This also applies to Leverkusen when they start the new season, even though they almost completely played without losing. But in football, everything is possible. perhaps, Leverkusen will be the center of attention. or, they will suddenly sluggish like the previous team. However, at least Leverkusen has a very competent coach. Also, they have a pretty cool squad when they play match after match in the previous season. We don't need to speculate too far in advance, let's just see which teams will be their opponents in the group phase and how they perform.

To say 100% that Real Madrid will win the Champions League next season, I'm not that sure either. However, here we can only see that their percentage of winning the Champions League title again is very high compared to other teams. I think this is a very normal thing, with the status of defending champions and the addition of their strength, one of which is by successfully bringing in Mbappe in the season.
If you calculate the percentage, last season Manchester City was the team with the highest percentage, but in fact they also failed because Real Madrid managed to beat them. Real Madrid overtook them in percentage terms and managed to become champions.
This could happen next season, even though Real Madrid may be the team holding the highest percentage, but that doesn't mean they can automatically become champions.
It is obvious that we can't say 100%, while I do think that they are the best team in the world right now, adding Mbappe made sure of that, because they were already at the near top levels, you would say either Madrid, or maybe City, but they were still pretty top level team anyway.

However, we are seeing how things are changing, and I think it's quite obvious that we are seeing some changes here and there now, which means that it is not going to be that simple. Mbappe addition put them at the top for me, but even the best team could lose, so I am not going to say 100% guaranteed title win. I would say it is high chance though, I would give them 50% chance to win it and I do not think that it will be quite different than what we expect.

Any idea how Leverkusen is going to perform in the Champions League competition?

I actually want to see Leverkusen from well in the Champions League competition. For some reason, I also want to see a final between Real Madrid and Leverkusen. I think because I want to see how great coaches, Alonso and Ancelotti does against each other. I understand that this is not a good comparison and probably there is a very high chance that Real Madrid is actually going to win very easily. Because of the track record that they have in the Champions League. But it will still be something to watch. The expectation is really high from Leverkusen. I hope they will be able to deliver properly on that.

Guaranteed 1/8 finals and then how lucky they will be with the draw. With the new format, I don't think Bayer will have problems finishing in the top half of the group. If the competition were held in the old format, then reaching the 1/8 would also be guaranteed since Bayer, as the German champion, would be in the first pot and the likelihood that a group would turn out like Group F this season is very small.

Alot of the sentiment on this thread over the last few days have been largely centered on Madrid winning the title for the second time in a row. As much as they're the true kings of the tournament and are in a really great place right now where they can perform and compete with any team right now, I'm not 100% certain that they can win it yet. A lot of twists and turns are gonna be there and like all football games, the best teams don't always win and I can see that happening with Madrid. There are teams that could still handle them well in the UCL.
This is just a speculation and in the end all are free to express opinions because it is also accompanied by arguments about some statistics that occur and at this time it is still quite reasonable if in the end Madrid is still made as one of the strongest candidates for champions because looking at history, statistics and current players Madrid is still one of the strongest candidates apart from Manchester City to become champions.

But to be 100 percent sure is clearly a mistake because we certainly understand that with the current situation saying with confidence before the competition starts it is a silly thing to do, even so there will be no denying for now that Madrid is the strongest club especially with the addition of Mbappe in the squad and it does not rule out the possibility that there are several other players who will join for sure it will make Madrid a little more difficult to reach.
But many ignored the other teams that obviously it would be a surprise if Real Madrid didn't win... People are free to speculate according to their statistics Mbappe's arrival will not be 100% perfect for Real Madrid remember that other teams can beat Madrid even though you may not believe it.

I admit Real Madrid are a tough team to beat in the champions league, the format of the champions league is different now but with this format meeting teams? Isn't it?
I think this will tell you how far Real Madrid will go even though many people don't doubt it.

I wouldn't discount the other teams that could beat them at any time, but it's the elite teams from some of the top leagues.

My options are still open even though my default, biased choice is going to be Liverpool.
If it's not Real Madrid then it's likely Manchester City will be the next champions because these two teams are the only ones who have clear prospects of winning the Champions League title. Maybe other teams have the same chance to win the title, it's just that if one of them faces one of Real Madrid or Manchester City in the final then everything will be in vain.
I don't think real Madrid and Manchester city will going to lift the UEFA champions league trophy next season, because the new signed in real Madrid did to add kylian Mbappe to their team will going to affect the team negatively.

But there are some players in the Manchester city will like to join other team once their contract expire, which it will make the team to experience some problem next season, because all those players are like Pilar to Manchester city.

If you watch Barcelona and Bayer Leverkusen teams in this season, you will know that they look like teams that will qualify for the final game next season because they have talented players that will going to play to showcase their skills.

Every one is entitled to their own opinion on who they feel may likely win the champions league next season after all we are making predictions as no body is certain on the team that will win the champions league just that the reason why almost every one is making predictions in favour of Real Madrid is based on what is obtainable now in the sense that Real Madrid seems to have the best squad for the competition now and they are the dominant team of the champions league so don't be surprised when people are pointing towards the direction of Real Madrid.

I know why many people tend to choose Real Madrid over other teams to win the Champions League every season, apart from the depth of the squad, Real Madrid is the team that wins it the most often. The number of fans has been increasing all over the world, so I wouldn't be surprised by anything.

Good financial strength has made Real Madrid very consistent in building the depth of its squad over many seasons. Of course Real Madrid can still fail to win the title in different seasons, but the quality of play and depth of the squad is what makes many people believe that Real Madrid is more likely to win the title than others. Inter, Barcelona, PSG, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Bayern Munich are great teams, but all of them are not on par with Real Madrid.

It is true, the Champions League has been a very prestigious and challenging competition among other football competitions, where we only see the best clubs in Europe competing for the Champions League trophy so far, Real Madrid, so far the first and only team in the world to have indeed managed to achieve extraordinary success in winning the Champions League so far, and even they are now the dominant team of in the Europa with a total of 15 Trophies, But even so, of course, the Champions League often presents surprises that we didn't expect at all so far.

Although Madrid is a team that has won 15 Champions League trophies and is also often the favorite team every season, we also cannot deny that other teams will be able to surprise and also change our view in assessing a club next season, PSG, Manchester City, Liverpool, AC Milan and also Bayern Munich of course we cannot underestimate next season, because after all, they are a team that has a strong financial body, so it is certain that they will continue to improve the quality of the players and also the squad this season.

Real Madrid is insane. Champions League is practically in their DNA. But let's not crown them just yet. Man City's been on fire lately, and this tournament could heat up. Anything can happen. Liverpool? They're not the same squad that hoisted that trophy a few years back, but I'm not counting them out. Althouhg Klopp out, they still know how to get fired up, especially in the Champions League. They've got that Anfield magic, and they were this close to the Premier League

Arsenal's come a long way, Arteta's doing a hell of a job, but they're young. Champions League is still a challenge. They've got the hunger, but do they have the experience?
Although we are aware that Real Madrid is at the top, and has a great line and history of winning the champions league, but we also do not have to close our eyes that when the new season may provide new answers and new champions, some teams are re-strengthening themselves with a lot of resources and efforts, not to mention Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal and other teams still have a chance and will not be dominated by Real Madrid forever, we must take a moderate view at the beginning of the season and pay attention to their development, Real Madrid could be bad in the new champions league that will start, or maybe it can only survive until the semi-finals for this time who will know about it.

Leverkusen can perform very impressive this season in the bundesliga and the europa league even though they failed to win the championship trophy, but compared to other teams this season in the top 5 European leagues, of course Leverkusen is the best team in my opinion, the depth of the squad, the cohesiveness and also the mentality they have are able to surprise us, next season of course Alonso will have a hard job to be able to repeat their achievements this season,  At the moment of course it is difficult for us to predict what will happen to Leverkusen next season considering the transfer market that is indeed possible for players to come and go, at the moment some Leverkusen players are rumored to be close to other clubs so I think it will greatly affect their performance next season.

The Champions League is the tightest competition so far, in addition to needing luck, of course teams such as Leverkusen, Atlanta, Girona and also Bologna of course need squad depth, player quality and of course mentality to be able to compete in the Champions League, I appreciate all of Leverkusen's achievements this season with their ability to maintain their performance, but for the Champions League next seadon  of course it seems their that it is not very ready in my opinion,  I think next season Manchester City and also Madrid will again be a team that is indeed fiercely competing in winning the championship trophy.

Leverkusen under Xabi Alonso performed brilliantly well and just faced a few defeats in their matches and everyone is hoping that they performed good in UEFA Champions league and surprise everyone .
