In the domestic league, Galatasaray is strong, but to face Real Madrid in CL, there is nothing, we know that Real Madrid was the CL champion last year, but I am sure that next week he will be able to beat PSG.

Real Madrid didn't win CL last year. They were defeated in Round of 16 by Ajax. Real Madrid is shit team. Rodrygo emerged as a new hope for Real but I don't think this will last for long and Real Madrid at most gonna make to QuarterFinals this year.

I can't believe Galatasaray played so horribly, it wasn't even really a system error or anything else, no tactic problems, sure there was a team talent level difference but remembering that this team played with Madrid just recently and ended up with 1-0 loss due to one ball hitting the defender type of goal there was no talent difference at 6 goal level.
Teams like Galatasaray are known for being very strong at the home tuft. Even if the talent difference between the two teams playing is usually huge. They tend to be so strong at home but get exposed when they travel to pay away from home.

What would have been much more horrible is if they had lost to Real Madrid 6-0 at Istanbul like the way Tottenham heavily lost to Bayern Munich at White Hart lane

One interesting game was Dinamo Zagreb - Shakhtar Donetsk, that ended with 3:3 result.
Dinamo was holding 3-1 score until extra time

It was very interesting match.
In the beginning Shakhtar was better,  than Dinamo started to play really very well and after their third goal I think everybody was sure that they will win the match.
I really don’t know how to explain last a few minutes of the match.
Confusion,  panic, luck of experience in such matches,   something else but Dinamo players lost chance to beat Shakhtar and to secure second place in the group.
Now,  it will be very difficult for them.

There is no more passion in football which creates all of this trouble, there is no more looking at it as a hobby or a love and what not, this is all just a business for the players and as long as they play enough to get paid that is all they want from football. I can understand an accountant not loving his job and just doing enough to not get fired, I can understand a car mechanic not liking his job but if a football player doesn't play with fire then it shows and this is the result.

Real Madrid really surprised me yesterday. Their performance was lit – Something we haven't seen since the start of the season until yesterday. The Benzema and Rodrygo linkup is getting better and better with each passing game. At least now, We know the teams that would qualify in Group A. If they keep putting out such performance like they did yesterday, I'm sure they'll go far in the competition. Don't write them off.

Kinda expected it after a disappointing weekend... a win with a couple of goals maybe.
Rodrygo is actually a great kid, much better than Vinicious especially with finishing. Vinicious is good to watch with the trickery and dribbling but his finishing still needs some work.

I am glad Real Madrid trashed Galatasaray 6-0 for various reasons.

The Rodrygo kid was very impressive in the game and after the second goal, Galatasaray decided the best way to complete the game was to play defensively when they conceded the first three goals but that didn't end well for them at all because they ended up conceding more goals than they wanted.

I watched the goals that he scored and he was really impressive.
Personally, I didn't know this guy since yesterday... And what surprised me is that I found his account on Instagram and he has already around 1.5m followers which seems that he was already known!

Lets have a look towards the future and what to expect for the final rounds:

The already qualified teams might rest some of their key-players then, so we possibly want to look out for some tasty odds for the underdogs then.

Group A:

Matchday 5 (26/11):

Gala - Brugge

Both teams fighting for 3rd place and thus securing a spot in the EuropeLeague, assuming both teams want that.
The first leg ended 0:0 in Brugge and we can expect a hard fight in Istanbul.
Gala would possibly be happy with any draw, but they have to be aware that Brugge will play PSG on matchday 6 where possibly there will no immediate need for PSG to go full-force.

No easy betting here, I will possibly go for goals live, as soon as the first one is in the net.

Real - PSG

These 2 teams theoretically fighting for 1st place in the group.
To make it to the 1st place Real needs to beat PSG + hope for Gala to beat PSG.
This is quite unlikely, but I would assume both teams will take this fixture as decisive, a draw would be enough for PSG though.

For this moment there are still interests for both sides, so I won´t touch this one.

Juventus did not have easy match in Moscow against Lokomotiv but Douglas Costa scored second goal for 1-2 result.
I did not watch the game, but they are now in top position in groups D with 10 points

Is it just me or it seems that there is no superior club that can dominate European football at the moment, well after Barcelona and Real Madrid domination ended actually. Let's look at the top four favorites:
- Man City
- Liverpool
- PSG
- Barcelona
https://www.oddschecker.com/football/champions-league/winner

Only Liverpool and PSG have a strong performance in both domestic and European matches up to this week.

The Champions League is normally really competitive with no one team dominating it every season. That’s why it’s the hardest club competition in the world to win. Lots of very good teams in it.

Only Real have won consecutive CL trophies in recent history (3 in a row). It’s very unlikely that one team dominates for long.

This year they have shown their weakness and I don’t think they will be able to win the Champions League this year.Different other teams have shown a better form and strength in this group stage of the Champions League and this only makes this competition even more beautiful to watch.

I think the winner will come from one of the four teams mu_enrico suggested but it’s very rare to get the same team winning it more than 2 years in a row.

Also don’t rule out the likes of Ajax, Juventus.

It is still an early stage of the competition and it is too early to reach such conclusions.
Real have won the Champions League 3 times in a row without being able to win the championship in Spain  Grin Grin
The Champions League is a completely different competition from the national championships and can't be compared.
In the Champions League, a weak match means the end, while in the Championship there are many opportunities to repair after a poor match.

I agree with your sentiments, It's still way too early and most teams are still just tryna get themselves together. Once we get to the knockout phase there will be significant difference between big and not so big clubs.

Only 3 teams have been confirmed to have made to the next stage, perhaps we might see some surprising elimination in the group stages.

LOL Manchester City did all of their substitution and now they have no goalkeeper.

They lost 5 minutes to find someone to put on the door, we are going maybe for 10 minutes of overtime, it will be probably the champions league record.

Now they have a not-goalkeeper on the door Cheesy

Haha, well deserved 1:1 draw (somehow). City was super dominant in 1st half, so I´ve entered a "over 1.5 goals in 1st half"- bet when the scoreline was 0:1 just to see this arrogant Gabriel Jesus wasting the golden opportunity with the penalty in 1st half. Grrrr... by that moment I was looking forward to see Atalanta punish that in 2nd half and so they did. Well, it didn´t hurt City to much, but I am still happy with that draw (so are the bookies) Smiley

Surprise of the day to me was Tottenham with that convincing victory at Belgrad, I was expecting the home-crowd to give the struggeling English-men a hard night, but it doesn´t seem like they did.

Beside of that yesterdays matches went as expected more or less and the groups are decided/boring for the final 2 matchdays.

Juventus had a lot of possession last night but overall they didn't make much with it. The midfield remains the biggest problem. There is very little creativity. No one has the speed or power to go 1-on-1 with the opposition. Douglas Costa's goal was classy, great exchange with Higuain and a calm finish. Ronaldo hasn't been the best in the last 2 games probably due to the adductor muscle problems.
I expected more from Ramsey but he didn't offer any creativity either.

It was a typical gambling day yesterday.
As expected all the favorites won except from one, Manchester City. That happens in most of the cases and I think that many people might have lost money due to this result. Atalanta might have won it as well in the end.

Not just Man City, Atletico Madrid were favourites, but they also didn't win. PSG survived a penalty scare and barely won the match. Juventus had a last minute winner.

Like is said yesterday, placing a bet on Manchester City to win wasn't a wise decision... They have all their eyes on Liverpool.
