Yeah, today PSG can keep 3 points from MU and this results makes them on the top of table. I think PSG now more safe to go to the next round since they are showing their consistant performance. For MU, I can't predict them. But in paper, they just need to keep 1 points to qualified to the next round, so maybe easy for them to get it.
A little funny about this result, I think MU will win. Winning at the Parc des Princes losing at home, it seemed that Old Traffod was not on friendly terms that day. They make it difficult for themselves to escape the group phase. Against Leipzig in the decisive match it looks easy, MU has won 5-0 at home. That is not a benchmark, next week MU must going to Red Bull Arena Leipzig, MU must be careful that PSG lost 1-0 in Leipzig, this happened in the 3rd match of the group phase.

Giroud is a great player but people are forgetting football is a team sport and no matter how great you are, if your team sucks you can't really make a huge change, not in the long run at least. Sure you could have a firey game and bring your team a win that they normally wouldn't get, but that is just few games a season, but if the team is good all by itself and you add on top of that, you are likely to be valued a lot more.

Giroud is a marvelous player, he is definitely one of the best out there when he is on form, but he needs all of his teammates to play awesome for him to actually matter. That goes for superstars like Messi and Ronaldo and others too, if the team plays well enough, they bring the team to another level, if the team sucks, they are just one person out of eleven and can't do much.

There is juventus and the strongest contender bayern munich , these the only two obstacle with consistency that hold chelsea to win the champions league this season i have to say.
Imo, I don't see Chelsea as a strong contender to win the champions league this season, yes I know they are in good form, but I doubt they'll have the consistency to carry this form all the way to the title, Lampard is doing a good job at Stamford bridge, but it'll take him a bit more time imo if he's to deliver Europe's clubs biggest title for Chelsea. The favorites for me remains Bayern Munich and Manchester City, and I hope pep can finally make City CL champions.
Actually Inter came from nowhere and I believe they can win vs Shakhtar and proceeds to the next stage. The problem is Real Madrid facing M'Gladbach which has mostly positive results while Madrid is struggling...
I also believe Inter are going to win and go through, it's the Madrid's game that I cannot call for now, I'm sure Zidane must be sweating from the pressure right now, his players have to give their all, but sometimes it's usually not enough to guarantee a victory.

All there is still a chance for the team, it's just that they have to try to win at the end of the determination to advance in the next phase, Madrid have great pressure which must win to qualify against Gladbach if what is said is partially positive then that's an opportunity for real Madrid.
Shaktar able to beat Madrid will Inter Milan be able to beat him? it is difficult for him because the two are fighting over each other's position.

Real Madrid have difficult matches ahead - Sevilla, Borussia and Atletico Madrid. The team is not ready to physically play all three matches. There are many injured players. Real needs to defeat Borussia in order not to depend on the result of the Shakhtar vs Inter match. This is a rather difficult task at the moment ...

Same hard is for Inter and Antonio Conte..did not do well, there is discontent on the part of all - fans, team, company,..

it is not replaced because there is no money for another big/great coach

you understand that the inter is in bad shape like Real.. not like.. worst Smiley

Giroud is one of the best Target man in the history of football and a clinical finisher his is one of the most underrated rather striker of all time. He has proven himself at both international and club level  it would be a great loss if Chelsea lost him to another club because he wants to play just like every other players

although Giroud is the "Man of the Match" Chelsea is still unstable and that doesn't prove anything.  I hope Giroud Giroud wasn't just lucky yesterday, I hope he can maintain his form in the premier league like when he made 4 goals on Sevilla.  let's keep an eye on what more surprises will appear in the next round..
It proves a lot for someone who scored 3 goals during the international break and scored 4 goals against one of the exciting club in Europe SEVILA in a critical champions league game. He has been on the bench all this while and that was his first start for the season. The competition between Chelsea players is yielding good results being 3rd on the EPL with 22 goals scored and 9 conceded, toping the ucl table with 12 points with the lowest goal conceded (1)
It seems everybody loves talking about chelsea recently.
They have outstanding performance especially after the goalkeepee arrived.
Could be a different story if it was still kepa there lol
Will they straight to win the champions league this season?
The favorites like real madrid , barcelona and psg looks really struggle.

The task is difficult, but doable for Real Madrid. The team has character and there is Zidane who knows how to set players up for important matches. I suppose that Real Madrid can sacrifice other matches in order to save energy for the match with Borussia. For Real Madrid, the Champions League will always prioritize other tournaments and matches.

I feel he had his day and made this match really entertaining now the big question is that how he will perform in upcoming matches especially in playoff. If he will get succeed to keep maintain his form than definitely Chelsea will create big trouble there but there are some strong clubs already made their place there so we can expect big fun and entertainment from Chelsea's matches finger crossed for them.

Giroud has been underrated throughout his whole career. He's slow, doesn't go into unnecessary dribbles so his game often goes unnoticed. He's really smart in his passing play and positioning and is a great holder of the ball, maybe he's not good enough to be the main threat in the best teams but is definitely a guy that's great to have as an attacking option.

He's got over 100 caps for France and look at their team - full of stars. That has to mean something as well.

But you can't really expect anything more out of him despite the spurts of brilliance.  I mean he's no Ibra.  But yeah...  brilliant performace.  Score his goals using all his tools.  Left foot, right foot and head.  Smiley

In fact, Lampard and his students did good performance with the counter attack when must play in the home stadium of Sevilla. Especially, Giroud had extremely impressive performance with Poker. I see when he switched to play for Chelsea, his playstyle is much softer than before.  He was not only play well with head but also he uses his legs very well. Congratulate the first position for Chelsea.

Giroud 8', 54', 74', 83' (p)

What strikes me is how Chelsea might be letting Giroud go so easily in January's transfer window. They definitely need him to stay, and if he wasn't playing in this match, it definitely would've ended 0-0. That is not the kind of result Chelsea wants to have especially when facing their just-as-strong rival teams back home in the Premier League.

He said he would leave if they don't let him play more, and I think Chelsea should give in because they clearly need him for the Champions League games ahead of them.

Griroud is always underused and it's criminal that he doesn't get first team play. I thought when he left Arsenal that would change but he's always benched at Chelsea as well. I think he should go to a squad that is going to give him a first team place but I think it will be the same issue whatever big club he goes to and I'm sure that will be the case if he goes to either Juve or Inter Millan who are reportedly after him:

ITALIAN JOB Juventus join Inter Milan in Olivier Giroud transfer battle as they eye four players including Chelsea team-mate Emerson

I don't understand how they don't play him over Ziyech and Tammy Abraham. They brought him on only for the last ten minutes against the bore draw 0-0 against Spurs last weekend.

I'm lookign forarwd to the Chelsea/Leeds game on the weekend. Hopefully Leeds don't get spanked. I'm sure they will if Giroud starts  Cheesy.

Dortmund has not impressed me the last couple of games... In fact they have been playing rather ok...
Losing to Cologne and a tie with Lazio is not Superstar Level.
Borussia can be beat at the moment.

A    Bayern Munich
B
C    Manchester City    Porto
D    Liverpool
E    Chelsea Sevilla
F    Borussia Dortmund
G    Juventus  Barcelona
H

9 teams of 16 are now qualified.

Group B and Group H are the more interesting, in group B we have Real and Inter, statistically only one of these 2 will pass.

In group H we have RB Leipzig, United, and PSG at 9 points, who will be secluded? (RB Leipzig for me)

Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020%E2%80%9321_UEFA_Champions_League

in Group B: Real Madrid will pass.. and I also explain the reasons why I make this deduction
- the company is not mature
- Antonio Conte is not capable (lucky yes, good coach no)
- morale is very low of all
- the coach is not changed for budget reasons (lol)

PSG practically secured qualification to the knockouts with a win at Old Trafford. Even a draw at home against Basaksehir gets them through.

The Leipzig - United game will be really interesting, Leipzig has to win in order to progress. United's defence really does not look good, I expect a high scoring game and I feel that Leipzig is a favorite here. United won 5-0 at home in their 1st group game, but it was a much closer game than the result makes it out to be.
