Really looking forward to Netherlands vs France, let’s see what France have without Mbappe. I expect there to be more than a goal or two in this game, it could be game of the tournament so far.

Obviously I have a vested interest in watching VVD and Gakpo.

I don't know if I'm right, but although the French team is very strong, even without Mbapeé, I think that in games against tough opponents, such as the Netherlands, he can be sorely missed with his individual moves
Today I think it could be a draw or even a win for Netherlands, I don't think France will win this game

But it will be a good test of how France plays without its star player and a strong team, I hope to see a Gakpo goal  Grin Grin Grin
The Netherlands actually played well in the match. We are watching the balanced play of both teams. I am enjoying the match, but I was hoping we would watch more positions. We couldn't watch more positions, but Mbappe will probably enter the game in the second half and I think it will be a more active second half. Mbappe will now play more competitively in La Liga and will rehearse this in this tournament.

Group E proving to be a group of surprises, first it was Belgium falling at the hands of Slovakia, and now if they keep their lead against Ukraine the bookies favourite this means qualification is secured and it's up to Romania or Belgium to fight for the remaining place which I believe team Lukaku will deliver because this would be embarassing for a top team like them to be left out.... though Romania might have the advantage thanks to that superior goal difference!!!
Actually Belgium could come through as best losers if they win their last two games, because  I don't see Romania staying behind Roll Eyes
To be honest I am impressed with Ukraine. The team is playing wonderfully well. At the start of the game when the first goal came from Slovakia I thought it would be difficult for Ukraine to equalize and talk more of winning the game. However, it came as a surprise when I came back to check the score line and Ukraine was already on top.

By the look of things, Ukraine will likely qualify for the next round, because it will be a tough one for Belgium while Romania will not stop either. If Belgium fails to win the next game, they are certain to be kicked out of the competition.

Netherlands vs France

Both teams had difficulty in final execution in the penalty box, the Netherlands with the selfish Gakpo and France both had big opportunities, countering each other's attacks, France even almost scored a goal in the 13th minute when facing the goalkeeper but yes Rabiot always looked bad. Based on the first half, the Netherlands excelled in high balls, while France excelled in low passes which were effective in penetrating the opponent's defense. Several times France made passes upwards but the tall Dutch back line was clearly able to handle them easily. The rhythm of the game was quite intense, ball control was balanced so in the second half we should have been more aggressive because we were required to get 3 points.

Griezman movements were very limited because he was closely guarded, he had difficulty escaping Van Dijk control. France must immediately field Mbappe so that their attacks can be sharper, relying on Dembele and Griezman alone is not enough to penetrate the strong Dutch defense.

France was the team that played the ball more throughout the match. Although the Netherlands took a few effective positions, they could not score a goal and Maignan made successful interventions. I think France will be closer to victory in this match. The Netherlands have important players but they have to play very well against France.
France would have already been leading if not for that big miss by greizman, but as you said France is definitely the better team in this game and I must say they have well improve their playing performance today other than their first game in which they performed so poorly in that match and narrowly escaped.

There has been no goal so far, I was expecting at least a goal to be scored in the first half, the first half is not over yet, we are heading towards first half extra time. France is the team that plays the ball more, while the Netherlands came close to scoring with their sudden attacks and had three shots on target. Mbappe's absence in this match was a big disadvantage for France. They cannot use their most important weapon.

Still 0-0 between France and Netherlands.
Before the start of the cup I was thinking that the best teams where England and France.

But after almost 2 game for every top team the better looking teams are Gernamy and Spain.

My favorite for the final win at the moment is Germany.

Mbappe is of course the guy who can make a massive difference in any game. I mean they still have a team full of world stars, but no team would like to play games of such an importance without the best striker in the world. Though the game against Austria was quite disappointing despite Mbappe. Winning that game with an own goal is not enough for a team of that level.

But almost all games are much closer than most here thought. Look at England and how everyone here thought they would dominate. Denmark was even better than England, not by much, but still... I don't understand why England plays so poorly and is not able to create dangerous chances. On paper their team looks incredibly strong with Foden, Bellingham and Saka as their midfield.

Italy - Spain: the match was quite boring, I didnt like it at all
also I dont know about you, but to me Italy seemed like a scared team, without character, without the desire to play
I dont know if they continue like this I dont think they can go far
Fortunately in this match there were no pure goals only own goals, but still Italy's game was boring, there was no character where they were a great team while Spain was more superior from all directions, we saw this match a little annoyed to see Italy's game.
We know Italy still have a chance in the last game of the group stage but if they play like this with no more pressing attack I doubt it will be a win.

Italy pattern of play is always so dull and boring and if you check at their previous records of matches you will know that their game is not always interesting to watch at all, even when they have good attackers but yet they don't make much impact in most of their matches which is very bad of the team even though they have a better defense but football is not always about trying to play a defensive pattern all the time but playing an entertaining football that viewers and fans will find very interesting to watch so they should try and change that pattern of football it's as boring as hell.

Italy's next game is against Croatia, I wonder if they can even win them because Croatia also has a good squad but they have not really proven their capacity so far because they lost their first game to Spain, had a draw with Albania and now they are to face Italy but i doubt if Croatia can stand Italy so the match may as well end in a draw or Italy may win.

Since the start of the ongoing UEFA Euros Championship, the game between the Netherlands and France tonight is the strongest game of the competition if you ask me. Both teams are doing all their can to make sure they get all three points from the game. For France, they're playing without their talisman Kylian Mbappe who picked up minor injury in the team's first game of the tournament against Austria but I expect the coach of the side Didier Dechamps to introduce him in the game against the Netherlands tonight in the second half.
Like you said, I think the game is going to produce many goals because of the quality players in the attacking line of both teams as well as the ones on the bench. Currently, none of the teams have been able score inside the first 20 minutes but I think there'll be a goal in the first half

Whether France will be fine without Mbappe, but so far Mbappe has not done much for EURO even in previous tournaments I don't think France need to worry there is still another boost for other players.
I hope so if a big match doesn't have a lot of goals we feel less satisfied even though this match is interesting but so far the match is still balanced.

We predict now France will win. Cheesy

Well deserved because they sucked. They have one star player - Lewandowski and he didn't play in the match against the Netherlands and they gave him something like 20 minutes in the match against Austria and all he managed to score score was a yellow card.

Austria was the weakest team of the group right after Poland, so if they couldn't beat them, they have no chance against France. They're 100% going home.
I agree, based on the odds, Poland will go home without even collecting a single point. France is a better team than Austria and also the Netherlands, so it is likely that Poland will lose against France.

I'm interested in the NL - FR match today and if I were to guess, I'd say France wins this, but we'll see. It's anybody's game.
The match has been going on for more than 20 minutes, but neither team has scored a goal. France dominates possession of the ball, but so far they have had minimal goal opportunities. The Netherlands does not have a high probability of winning this match, on the contrary France is the favorite. But anyway, I don't expect there to be many goals in a tight match like this.

Poland no longer has a way to get to the round of 16 because of the 2 matches they played, they didn't get any points at all. Meanwhile, in the last game, they had to play against France, which I don't think is a match that Poland can win, even it is still quite difficult for Poland to get a draw against France. Poland made the mistake of giving Austria a lot of space in the second half (whether it was because of their strategy or because of their lack of stamina), so that Austria had more opportunities to penetrate and score goals.

Our boys from Austria already put in a very good performance against France and today their strong performance against Poland was rewarded. Austria puts a lot of pressure on their opponents and the team always runs a lot. Today they also made good use of their scoring opportunities and now we hope that France beats the Netherlands today, then even a draw in the last game (due to goal difference) will be enough for us to advance.

A draw in their first match? Poland didn't get a draw when they met the Netherlands, they definitely didn't get any points after Weghorst scored a goal in the last 7 minutes of the match. With the bad results they're currently getting, they certainly won't be able to be in the top 2 of Group D, in their third match, they have to meet France, then, what can we expect from Poland, even against Austria they lost.

Has Deschamps confirmed Giroud will replace Mbappe against the Netherlands?
Netherland game can be considered a very important game for France to make sure that they are on the top of the Group D before they play Poland. Mbappe trained with the team, so there is a chance he will play, even if not full time. It is his nose that is broken, not his legs which they need the most. He has a very good record against Netherlands, even though France has players who can be substituted into that role that he plays, they cannot offer the same kind of threat like he does.
Currently, french is trying to get permission for mbappe to play against Netherlands by substituting an uncolored mask for his French mask.
This should not take time.

Netherlands vs France - the most interesting match of the day, for sure. Two top teams are playing. But in my opinion France has more potential. I am expecting an interesting match, but it is very difficult for me to choose the winner, most likely the game of these teams will be equal. As an option, you can bet that both teams will score.

We know Italy still have a chance in the last game of the group stage but if they play like this with no more pressing attack I doubt it will be a win.

I don't think this is what they wanted, I mean Italy were forced to play a little deeper in defense because Spain dominated and also pressed well. Spain's game is very attractive and the cooperation between players is very good, which is why Italy has to defend and only rely on counter attacks.

Another thing that Italy lacked was that they lost in the middle game. Spain has Pedri, Rodri and Fabian in midfield, they play well and of course often help supply the ball to the attackers. Then from that, Spain played well from the wings where Willians and Yamal performed great there. Italy doesn't have many players like that, but they managed to make it difficult for Spain to win even though they ultimately lost by an own goal.

Poland will really find it difficult to win this game against Austria especially now that the away side is leading by three goals to one. Starting the game on a very high note only to resume second half and start playing with fear. What will you expect of an Austrian side who were beaten by France other than to not only defend their lines but also press to ensure they get three points from this game to enable them have a shot at playoffs.
For me, I think Poland will have to seat this one out since I clearly don't see them coming out from this one, drawing their first game with Netherlands and losing out on this won't in any way help their case.

Poland no longer has hope, they have received their second defeat today from Austria with a score of 1-3. Without collecting any points from 2 matches, Poland also looks like they will experience defeat in the match against France. So I think Poland will have no hope in this tournament, they will just fail.

Mbappe's absence would be fortunate for the Netherlands. Mbappe is a great player and France's strongest weapon. He is a player who can suddenly create a goal position with his individual skills when everything is going bad, which he showed in the World Cup. It is the biggest weapon for France in Euro 2024. The Netherlands must be very careful and defend Mbappe in the best way possible. If Mbappe is well defended, the Netherlands will win.
