That is not only underestimating Union Berlin, but that is basically overrating Ajax as well. I understand that Ajax used to be a great team, had amazing players, even went to champions league semi-finals one year if I am not wrong, not too long ago, so they still have some good base and they were the dominant power in eredevise as well.

These are all fine and understandable but anyone who looks at them this season could see that they are not nearly as good this season and they should definitely be considered as a not so great team anymore. Union Berlin may not be a great team, and that is why they are seen as losing side, but Ajax is not that great neither, they are quite bad too, so it's two bad teams playing each other.

Manchester United has had a decline in performance lately and I'm thinking it's because of Cancelo'a absence. I'm doubting if they will make it through the first outing in round 16 without him. It will be more interesting to wash both FCB and Man U play at their best team condition.

The hot topic for the Europa league is the game between Barcelona and Manchester United but there are other exciting fixtures in the competition that I am also anticipating.

Ajax vs Union Berlin.
Union Berlin have been in an unbelievable form this season. They are in a 9 games winning streak this year and if you add the friendly matches they player during the break that makes it 12 games winning streak. They're currently 2nd on the Bundesliga table, only 1 point behind Bayern Munich.
Ajax on the other hand are kind of inconsistent this season but recently they are getting their form back. They too are unbeatable since the start of the year with a couple of draws.
It's definitely a fixture to look out for.

Seville vs PSV
This is also an intriguing fixture for me. If this match was player a couple of weeks back I would have been sure Seville would get their ass whooped but since they changed their manager they've been trying to get back up and they've been impressive. Let's not forget the fact that the Europa league is their favorite trophy.

You are only giving praises to Barcelona which is not bad at all, they have turned up recently in their matches but Manchester United has also had an incredible form that I wouldn't imagine, did you know that since the beginning of 2023, Manchester United only lost just a match to Arsenal which was even a mistake from their defender that could have been avoided. I know it won't be easy for Barcelona to complete with Manchester United but the way xavi has built Barcelona they can be able to challenge any club in Premier league with good performance even if the doesn’t end with a win for Barcelona.
