I thought the bookies were spot on with the odds they dished out to us! In a game that was a must win for Leicester which was suppose to move them from the elimination spot to the qualification spot....Legia stood no chance! These guys were never going to lose this game and the odds tell the story so did the final score... But if I were to be honest Legia did have several goal scoring chances which never looked like an 18 odd team which was quite unfair for the bookie to be economical on the  odds.

As strong as Leicester looked, the final score was only 3-1. This clearly does not mean a fantastic advantage or something like that, and as you correctly noted, Legia had chances to score additional goals, and if they took advantage of these chances, the match could go in a completely different scenario. Therefore, these odds (18) still look like complete insanity.

Only three goals? This is not a bad result at all. Legia is not bad in this season of the Europa League, I would not say that it is a weak opponent, so the outcome of the match as a whole is very good. But if we talk in the context of the odds, yes, it's a strange match and it's not clear why such high bets were made.

Big Victory from Galatasaray. Galatasaray managed to beat the French team Marseille 4-2. With this score, they continued their leadership in the group. According to the scores in the last matches, Lazio or Galatasaray will come out of the group as the leader. Another Turkish team Fenerbahce lost its chance to leave the group by losing 1-0 to Olympiakos.
Galatasaray is certain to advance to the next round, currently Galatasaray leads the temporary standings, I am very happy because clubs from England can play very consistently and can qualify for the round of 32 of the European League, even in the Champions League representatives from England advanced to the round of 16 Big, liferpol, man city, manchester united and chelsea, became representatives of England who could top the standings, and came out as group winners.. I am very optimistic this year representatives from England have the opportunity to advance to the final, both in Europe and the Champions League ..

A really bad Dinamo performance in the crucial group game. They had the lead and had some chances to go 2 goals up, had some bad decisions in crucial moments and then conceded the goal in the last minute of the 1st half.
Their performance in the 2nd half was truly abysmal and they can consider themselves lucky to walk away with a draw.

West Ham was professional enough to win, but to be sure of progress Dinamo needs a point in the last round in England. With performance like this - they will not be getting it.

You know, Dinamo would have won the match if it was not for all those missed chances. Actually, they had more than enough chances to extend their lead but they just could not convert those chances to goals. And Dinamo played the first half much better than they played the second half. Their second half in my opinion was kind of a disaster.

If you want to be honest, both teams had a good chance and could win, Dinamo in the first half and Genk in the second.
What is obvious is that this Dinamo team is the weakest in the last few seasons, and this can be seen in the results in European competitions and in the domestic championship.
Personally, I think Dinamo doesn't have a great chance against West Ham because the difference in quality is too big, and I believe that Genk will beat Rapid.
This means that in the end, Genk will probably be second in the group and Dinamo only third.

I watched the Galatasaray v Marseille match admiringly too. In the match in France, I remember that the match ended in a 0-0 draw. I was assuming that this also would be a low-scoring match too. But it turned out to be a marvelous match for all of the supporters of both teams. Actually, Marseille supporters wouldn't be so happy about it but at least they tried and scored two goals. However, Galatasaray had a very impressive performance. They were in control in the whole match. They would have even scored more goals but Marseille should be thankful that they didn't. Galatasaray gained a very deserved 4-2 victory and we are going to see them in the next round certainly.
Yes, this is a match in which I didn't expect to see lots of goals either. But to my surprise, there were six goals in this match. But I have been thinking about the own goal that was scored by çaleta-car on 30 minutes because without that goal the scoreline could have been much more different in my opinion. But for me, I think ok Galatasaray was the better team in that match and they deserved to win.
It is marvelous to see Galatasaray doing so well when people didn't expected them to do anything at all. I wagered against them on few games at first, but then seeing how they were doing well and still getting great odds to wager, I wagered for them and they didn't let me down.
For a team that was drawn as least of the pack, finishing at the top is definitely a big overachievement. Leicester on the other hand got their way around to top from the bottom in a single game, not something common to see but when teams are so close to each other that happens. Napoli game will not be easy, Napoli have been great in Serie A this year and they could definitely bring in a shock to Leicester.

Galatasaray has achieved more than they expected in this UEFA Champions League. I mean that they have not lost even one game. They have won 3 and drawn 2 matches. But I was kind of disappointed in Leicester City as they fail to win their last match. That one match took them from top to bottom in the group. And their next match is against Napoli who are in really good form right now.

to be honest, I did not quite understand this moment with the shaking of hands - it seems that the coach of Spartak is in no way innocent of the unsuccessful results of Napoli, Spalletti has only himself to blame. In general, his behavior looks ugly.
As for the Leicester-Legia match, I am surprised by these odds:
1.17 - 8.0 - 18.0
It's like the Brazilian national team against Liechtenstein, which does not correspond to reality at all.

Ahahahah, I certainly understand that Leicester can lose, but to give such crazy odds on his victory as stupid as possible, or bookmakers know something). I hope Leicester win. In this match, if any team wins, the winner leaves the group in first place most likely, unless he loses the last match. So the intrigue for this match is insane, and I'm already starting to think that Napoli won't make it to the 1/8, though....

Leicester proves that the odds are foolish lol. Leicester managed to jump to 1st place in Group C, passing Spartak Moscow. the hope for Legia to qualify for the next round is very small.

Maybe the bookmakers wanted to mislead people or there was an error in the system, which is more likely. Soon there will be the last match where both teams need to play a draw to get out of the group (Leicester and Spartak), but I think the draw will not be enough, most likely they will fight for getting out of the group and we will have a very hot match, because every team can get out of the group

West Ham kept clean sheets in the game last night, two solid goals to keep them on top of there group table with 13 points.
Captain Noble did well to score,I see a whole lot has been dropped for the weekend game against Manchester City at the etihard stadium, a tough game, lossing this will be their second loss of the season...back to back loss.
I don't think West Ham will easily lose against Manchester City on Sunday. They will surely struggle for at least a draw point. Although, they lost in their last EPL match, and I think this was because their defense wasn't good enough, Fabiański tried his best. But Wolves were able to secure a goal in the second half. And after scoring, Wolves played the rest of the game defensively.
However, their performance in the Europe League are super awesome. Despite playing 5 matches, they still remain unbeatable. West Ham are currently 6 points ahead of Dinamo Zagreb on the group table, which means even if they lost in their next Europe League match, they will still qualify for the next round.

Leicester surprised me yesterday, their performance was awesome. While Atalanta they are now leading in their group standings with 8 points. They next match will be against Napoli, and it will be a tough match. Because that is the only hope for Napoli to qualify for the next round. But, if they ends up drawing the match, and Spartak Moscow wins against Legia, then Moscow will definitely get to the next round. The group C is an interesting group.
2 of the 4 team in group C still have a chance to qualify for the next round and they have to decide their fate in the last match. Leicester and Napoli are the favourite, but they have to kill each other in the decider and I really hate that. Although there are several other group that are still difficult to determine which team will qualify, group C look much more difficult at the moment.

It's true that group C is very interesting to look forward to whoever wins the match in the last match then gets a chance to qualify
unfortunately between Napoli and Leicester one of them had to be eliminated it is not clear who will qualify even though Napoli will play at home later

West Ham is doing great in Europa League (even if they draw in an "easy" group) and a possible defeat in EPL from Man City won't change that. Besides, two losses don't bring disaster... Wink

Yesterday in most groups the situation on the issue of qualification was clarified. Even if it happened like in Group D, were in both games everything literally changed in the last minutes. Olympiakos manage to find the golden goal and get the win against Fener, while Eintracht Frankfurt gets the equalizing goal in the 4th minute of the extra time! Now the only thing that remains is which team will get the first place.

This was the expected result. The strongest team in Group H is West Ham. Rapid Vienna, on the other hand, is the weakest team. They have managed to score only 3 points in 5 matches. Mark Noble scored, but he scored from the penalty spot. In the second half, West Ham's players focused on keeping the ball in their possession than making attack.

Liecester did what they were supposed to do.
That is football for us, little did we think that struggling Liecester could top the group C. Yet, the group is still complicated and no one is safe yet. If Napoli upturns the glory of Liecester in thier next meeting, it could be a disaster for Liecester. And the Legia at the bottom, if they secure next win may top the table. It's a wonderful group contest here.
Despite the fact that Leicester is not too inform, they still won their match. Its a very good one for them. They have a team that can challenge for anything, their players are all good especially their latest acquisitions.Good players that are capable of winning trophy for a club if well managed.

They showed class and brilliance in the first half of the game.
Madison, Patson Daka, and Ndid scored golas to secure a win for them.
The second half seems hard failing to convert goals.
A strong tie ahead of the weekend.

Probably main surprise today was Galatasaray win against Marseille. After this defeat Marseille are eliminated from Europa league.
Bayer eliminated Celtic by beating them 3:2. Bayer and Betis going to nextround.
Other team from Glasgow is doing better, they won against Sparta 2:0. Second goal is one of the most stupid I saw recently - Sparta defender simply passed ball to Morelos in the box and he scored easy goal.
Eintracht managed to achieve draw against Antwerp by scoring on 94th minute. And they are in next round already.
It is funny how Celtic crashed out of the Europa league after that top performance. Played brilliant yesterday but when these teams are on top for fifteen minutes of the game they have the skill set to cut you wide open at this level.  I am proud of the whole team as they were brave and went out to play football and went toe to toe with a very good team. A draw would have given them the confidence to win Real Betis at home. But they could not maintain their 2-1 win in the game. Joe Hart was excellent tonight, made tons of great saves, but Leverkusen top the group for a good reason, a very tidy and promising squad they have.

Celtic played really well and they defended really well too, at least till the 80th minute. They defended really well and the goalkeeper was also really good. But after all, it came down to the stamina of both teams. I think for Celtic player setting came into play as it was really late in the game. But hats off to Leverkusen as they played really well and aggressively and always were looking for the win. As you said, they are in the top spot for a reason.
