.... Just hope Arsenal and Chelsea can keep up they are already at an advantage with crucial away goals.
Away goals are good but not so much when you are still down on the score card like Arsenal. I can't see them containing Villareal to zero goals in the second leg. Chelsea is in a much better position but they are also facing a tougher opponent.
An all English teams finals for both UCL and UEL would be fun though.

Man United practically has the ticket for the final. Arsenal will have more work, but it only takes one goal to pass (if they do not suffer any).I believe that the final is English teams.
At UCL I think Chelsea will have a harder time reaching the final, but there is a possibility. It would be really funny for both competitions to have only English teams.
Manchester United honestly performs beautifully against the Roma but for Arsenal, they still have the chances to win when they place against Villareal in the second leg but they must not conceive more than a goal while they score many goals as much as possible. I believe this is a winning game for the Gunners they always defeat Villareal.

I can speak Manchester drive over Roma in the second half, see no chance for Roma to turn the result. For me, Manchester is firmly in the final. Arsenal have created a good starting position for the second leg, a purely English final is possible.
I don't see Arsenal getting good results in the first leg, because if he wants to go to the final it is clear Arsenal need a win and it is a difficult mission. Villarreal is not a weak team so it won't be beaten easily, because currently playing at home seems meaningless due to the absence of the crowd. So yes, I still believe Villarreal will still qualify for the finals this season.
it is kinda impossible since Sevilla has won the most titles at this league. So I guess the final will be between MU and Sevilla. It will be a fascinating games because MU is flying very high right now and Sevilla will do their best to protecting the trophy

Arsenal is a good team but with the current performance, they cant overcome the Spanish team

We may as well see the English final both in the champions league and the Europa league this season, all the English clubs are already at an advantage in the first leg and may as well all proceed to the final next week. The Roma vs Manutd was another tactics gone wrong game, the Romans were totally in control of the game before they lost it all, the last time manutd played Roma in an European competition I think it ended 7-1in favour of manutd in 2008 or so. Just hope Arsenal and Chelsea can keep up they are already at an advantage with crucial away goals.

Anything can happen, but logically their goal difference is quite large. So it's a bit difficult for them to score 4 goals. The statistics for the first leg MU are very dominant, he made 20 attempts while Roma only 5. The second leg I think MU's dominance will drop a bit, but I don't think they will concede 4 goals. MU has better quality players than Roma.
It won't be easy for Roma to score 4 goals without a single reply from Manchester United. While nothing seems impossible in football, Roma really have to expect miracle if they are to beat Manchester United of that size. Roma still have a chance to win, but there is no hope of qualifying. At this point maybe all the players will have to give up or they will have to perform 3 times better than before if they still want to qualify for the final.

Manchester United vs Villareal is the ideal final to look forward to. I don't think the England final will happen in the European league this season.

Would be awesome to see Roma take a 3 0 lead. That would at least be fun but it won't happen. Or maybe? Tongue

Meanwhile Arsenal can still make a comeback in the return leg although the team is very unpredictable they did same in their last Europa match and this is Arteta last chance of managing the club if Arsenal fails to qualify for the final definitely Arteta will be sacked.
Do you think Arsenal can do better in the second leg? I noticed Gunners weren't serious from the beginning of the match, they almost equalize but what hard in them, this makes me think Arsenal players can do better next leg to avoid this mistake.  The outplayed villarreal to my surprised but the Gunners are weak and fragile when it comes to harder clubs. Most times this causes them to bc overlap when they meet strong teams.
Even though as an arsenal supporter, of course I will to be realistic in this matter, to be honest right now the arsenal is in its worst phase as long as Arsene Wenger is abandoned and from the past the arsenal problem has continued to recur is fragile defense and does not have proper coordination so that the defender continues to do an error that eventually led to a goal, in the second leg the arsenal will play at home but I think it will be very difficult for the arsenal to turn things around, especially we know that Unai Emery is one of the coaches who is a specialist in European league championships and as a former arsenal coach, of course he knows very well arsenal of playing styles and weaknesses.

Alright, Manchester United vs AS Roma doesn't need a second leg. Tongue

Roma suffered a great humiliation in this game, something unbelievable because they seemed to be playing well until the 48th minute, everything started to be a disgrace for Roma that does not have any chance of turning that result in the second hand. sad to lose this way

as expected the arsenal lost. arsenal needs to do something so that next season has better performance
That was a mass destruction of Roma psychology tonight and indeed, no need for the 2nd leg, it is already clear who will pass to finals and eventually wins the title this season Roll Eyes
Arsenal lost their game with 1 goal difference vs Villarreal. They can comeback in the 2nd leg but with such performance, no one of those teams can compete ManU.

The second leg is going to be the most boring game in a semi final in the history of the Uefa Eurpean League...

Would be awesome to see Roma take a 3 0 lead. That would at least be fun but it won't happen. Or maybe? Tongue

Villarreal - Arsenal match was really tough in contrary to Manchester United - Roma.  Grin  Villarreal finished the first half 2-0 ahead and Arsenal were too bad. But something changed about Arsenal in the second half and they started competing much better. Even though Ceballos got a red card, Arsenal managed to decrease the score diff. to 1. After a short time period, Capoue also got a red card and the conditions were equalized. At the end, Villarreal still managed to gain a 2-1 victory which is a nice advantage for the rematch.

Tell me about it, man! I didn't see the game cause I been full of other things. At some point, I listen from a radio station that ManUtd was behind and I thought that they will not make it and I won't win my parlay! When I log in to the sportsbook site I surprisingly see that I won and the scoreline was beyond my imagination.
That's good for you, man. Manchester United crushed Roma's hope of qualifying for the final early. It's impossible for Roma to come back from a big loss like that and the second leg in my opinion they will be very stressful.

As for Arsenal, I think that they hold their "fate" in their hands. If they play seriously, I believe that they can manage to win and qualify.
Although Arsenal still have the chance to qualify for the final, Villareal is not an easy opponent to beat. Arsenal need a lot of energy to beat Villareal in the second leg. I think Arsenal will struggle there. It all depend on how they achieve final goal.

What an entertaining game that was between Man United and Roma. Eight goals! Big respect to Cavani whose goals surely boosted his teammates confidence. This is pretty much over now and MU is heading to the finals. They are most likely to face Villareal who I thought should have scored more and easily put the game out of Arsenal's reach.

I expected Manchester United to win yesterday game against Roma but I thought it would be a more stiffer competition for Manchester United, now it's almost or a reasonable done and dusted final entrance for Manchester United in the Europa league.

Manchester Utd literally crushed Roma in this huge match. Look at the first half result and the ending. It was really an insane game!  Cheesy  We can say that Roma are eliminated already. If Manchester Utd show the same level of performance in the final too, then they will most probably win the title.

The Manchester United team is really all out to win this league, it was a massive demolition for Roma.
It was not really top of their list in terms of priority at the beginning of the season, and also considering they've already qualified for the UCL via the EPL, the UEL is more or less a consolation for them this season if they manage to win it, a club of United's pedigree should be challenging for major trophies like the UCL and the EPL, but this trophy could also be the morale boost they need to challenge for top trophies next season.

Having said that, Arsenal need the trophy more than United cause they have no way of qualifying for next season's UCL except via the Europa league, they lost the first leg yesterday, and have to put in a good performance in the second leg if they want to compete with the big teams in the UCL next season.

6-2 well not a bad day in Manchester for United.
Game over, I don't think Roma has many chances for the comeback.

Was better for Roma to do more subductions and losing only 3-0 for disqualification xD
don't forget that Roma were able to turn the tables on Barcelona in the champions league before, but there is no way they can do that against manchester united, it was a day to forget, 6-2 is a humiliating score.

Both Roma's goals have been more than an accident. I don't think it's possible to happen again, four times. More problems Burnley, Crystal Palace were created to Manchester United than Roma. They are certainly far less quality. Yes, it is a fact.
I think MU will have much more problems with Ajax that they by some chance passed on.
