Today at 13 MEZ the draws begin, it caught some favorites yesterday so Pot 2 looks a little different than expected.

It'll be an interesting group stage, Pot 3 is generally very well occupied, I'm surprised.

I see a lot of expected results from yesterday games and I think people made money from sport betting in Europa League. The biggest surprise that caught my eye yesterday was Basel being eliminated at home from a team way weaker than them Cska Sofia, big congrats to them.

Milan maybe can control the match, but without Ibra they hard to make a goal.

Yeah I agree on that, hey don't have proper central forward or say someone who finishes properly other than Zlatan. They were almost out considering the early goal in extra time from Rio Ave. That was a great match though, lost my bet on Milan but enjoyed every part of it.

BTW Milan have managed to progress by winning with slim margins- previous round Bodo/glimt almost had them, yesterday also Rio Ave almost knocked them out.

I didn't see Rio Ave qualifying in a game against Milan, no doubt they made it to the group stage. The most surprising part is that, it had to take 24 penalties to decide the game. So spectacular!
Yeah, mostly (including me) thinking if AC Milan easy to win this match. But, Rio Ave can convert the chance they have to make a goal. Lucky for Milan they get Penalty on extra time. Milan maybe can control the match, but without Ibra they hard to make a goal. I think it hard for Milan to finish at least to quarter final. Will see, the next stage is the real challenge for AC Milan to stay compete in Europa League

Rio Ave were seconds away from group stage, but they managed to get very stupid penalty on last Milan attack and Milan equalised score. And then what a crazy penalty shootout it was - I can't describe it, you simply must see it. One of the best things I saw recently. And after 24 penalties made by both teams, Milan goes to group stage.

There was quite a lot uipsets like Rijeka win against Copenhagen - congrats to Croatian folks there, you will have 2 teams in group stage.
CSKA Sofia win against Basel and Hapoel Beer Sheva wins against Plzen is also unexpected. It wasn't profitable day for me.
Also, congrats to @efialtis for AEK win Wink.

As I predicted, Dinamo had big problems against Flora and was not convincing but still managed to win on routine and experience.
Rijeka plays very well against Copenhagen and leads after the first half, while Sarajevo still has an active result against Celtic.
Zvezda seems to be winning in Cyprus against the Armenian club.
Will we see all 4 clubs from the region in the group stage?

it's time for another parlay, a 5 fold at 9/1 odds...AC Milan moneyline looking pretty decent for a single, Rio Ave are a pretty weak side

1 DNB really seems to be a nice option - yeah, Germans are favorites of course but, momentum is with AEK, Wolfsburg with absences and I think we have a good chance of what many would consider a "miracle".
i feel like this game could go either way, mainly cuz Wolfsburg have not been playing that well lately and AEK can capitalize on the germans poor form, but then again, germans teams are always full of surprises in european competitions...anyhoo, enjoy the game!

@casperBGD, your picks looks good, but I tend to stay away from Scottish teams in UEFA competition.
I'm going tonight with single bets on Ludogorets, Milan and Basel. Maybe ST Liege too, still not decided.

good picks, not sure about Ludogorets, but all seem as good choices
regarding Dundalk and Klaksvik, it is history in the making, since both teams are from countries that do not have group stage participants, and i would like to see Klaksvik there, not think that it is impossible, although Dundalk is a bit serious team, but they lost last match in their Championship 0:4 with Shamrock, so would not call their form "great"

This is a big day for me and my club when we will fight Wolfsburg in Athens - had a hard time sleeping last night! Cheesy

I am sooooooooo excited and I really wish AEK - the big outsider here - will make it so we will play Europa League in our new stadium soon!

AEK will play without supporters, right? meaning that both teams play freely without burden so that each team has a chance to score a goal
My prediction will be a lot of goals or to bet both teams to score.

Uefa Europa League games are back today and there are 21 games from which I think there is money to be made by choosing 2-4 stronger teams, teams that has clear differences with each other in players quality.Of course I also think surprises are going to happen so we must choose carefully.

If you want advice, try to bet against Dinamo in a match with Flora  Grin
Dinamo are a big favourite by name and reputation but a lot of things don't work at the club, the atmosphere is bad and I think there could be a surprise in this match.

it is true for Dinamo, but Flora is from Estonia, i think that they cannot compete on European football level, so even Dinamo with many troubles will pass-through into next round, or group stage
for me, i would try to do multi on pass-through into next round:
- Charleroi against Lech Poznan, think that Charleroi is in good form, it is only a matter will they be able to qualify in regular time
- Rosenborg - PSV, think that PSV will pass into next round
- FC Copenhagen - Rijeka, betting on Copenhagen to pass-through
- Rangers - Galatasaray, betting on Rangers to go through, their results this season are pretty impressive, with 0:4 in previous round with Willem II

@swogerino as I’m not following most of the teams in this round, therefore I have decided to wager a small amount on Tottenham only. However I’m bit concerned too as Son has suffered a hamstring, and they have been playing back to back matches, but I’m yet hopeful that they’ll be able to win in tonight’s game.

No way that will bet against Dinamo. I saw how Flora is playing and I got bad impression. They only reached this round because they got very weak opponents in previous rounds.

If you're looking for upset, I think it's worth to pay attention to Dundalk - Klaksvik game. Yeah, Klaksvik is from Faroe Islands, but they trashed their opponent s in previoys round 6:1. Meanwhile I can't remember Irish team playing in Europa league.
@efialtis, good luck tonight! I don't think AEK win tonight would be miracle. You have interesting team with good manager.

AC Milan will meet Rio Ave in the 3rd match of the UEL play-off. This will be a decisive match for AC Milan to be able to play in the next round of the Uefa League. the match remains without Ibrahimovic who is still in quarantine. On the other hand, Milan is certainly on fire with successive wins in Serie A. Milan should be able to win the match against Rio Ave with the current squad, at least Milan can score 2 goals in this match.
Milan is better and definitely can win with 2 goals difference without much effort. The most of other games are pretty obvious with low odds for favorites teams except APOEL, Charleroi, Wolfsburg, Rangers and Lask matches which have a closer odds..

Still favorite Milan easy for winning versus Rio Eve without have lord Ibrahimovich, now they have complicated team with reach three match by winning without lost in this season or Serie A, maybe the era of AC Milan have back but how to know they still keep continue with good playing for this season and keep get winning game. Need waiting for how Ac Milan take participated on UEFA champion league after miss several years because could take good position on serie a stabe.

Since I'm from Croatia, it is always interesting for me to look at the results of clubs from the region, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia ...
Out of almost 30 clubs at the beginning of the competition, only 4 clubs remained, Dinamo, Zvezda, Rijeka and Sarajevo.
No club remained in the Champions League.
It seems to me that this is a big drop and very disappointing results because until recently Dinamo, Partizan and Zvezda had very good results in European competitions, they regularly played in the group stage of the Champions League etc.
It is obvious that these clubs are slowly losing pace with richer and better organized clubs from other countries.
Yeah, this season isn't very good for this region teams. Zvezda lost to obviously weaker team on paper, while Dinamo Zagreb haven't managed to beat similar level opponent. Money probably isn't main problem this time because they haven't lost against big teams with huge budgets. I think one of the main reasons of such results is weak local leagues. Team like Crvena Zvezda or Dinamo Zagreb have just 1-2 powerful opponents in their leagues, while rest of time they have to play against parked bus in general. After this they aren't ready to play different style footbal in Champions league.

Okay, I don't really follow the Serbian league, so I can't say, but as far as Dinamo is concerned, nothing has changed in the last few years.
Dinamo dominate the Croatian league almost every year and have no real competition but that still didn't stop them from entering the group stage of the Champions League last year  and be very close to the pass of the group and the year before they passed the group in the European football league.
Even the players are pretty much the same this year so it seems to me that the main reason for Dinamo's failure in this year's Champions League competition is the change of coach and the poor atmosphere around the club.
I'm almost convinced that with Bjelica as coach Dinamo would have entered the group stage of the Champions League this season.
However, given the luck in the draw, even such Dinamo has a good chance of winning the group stage of the Europa League this season as a consolation prize
