Lawler vs Woodley, the only interesting card on UFC 201. I think this match will go 5 round and ended with split decision or unanimous decision. Both fighters are good.

I doubt this will reach the 5th round.  Woodley is known to have bad cardio.  By the 4th round I think Woodly would gas himself out and be vulnerable to a relentless barrage from Lawler.

In this fight I predict that it won't last the usual 5 rounds with Lawler. I really feel that the strategy Woodley would use is to rush Lawler and knock him out with strikes. My question is does Lawler have a sturdy chin? Can he take the power right hand punch of Tyron?

Robbie Lawler for sure! love love watching his fights, bloody, balls to the wall man getting it done. Those are my most favorite fights, no smothering, laying on top of you just toe to toe, kicks, left, right hooks upper cuts, elbows!! wow getting a little over excited

yup love robbie fights i got to watch him fight live alot when he was fighting for icon sport/rumble on the rock.

It's going to be a nasty, awesome bloodbath! Woodley is no joke and deserves the shot! He's a real threat..And Lawlor is well. Both fighters are wicked good strikers and exciting fighters! When Condit knocks out Maia. He should get the winner of this Rumble!

I'm thinking the same thing because I think Woodley could have the edge on the first three rounds.  He's a freak of nature.  His naturally very athletic and could knock Lawler out given the opportunity.  But I've seen Lawler take punches though.

Anyway, I would like to know your assesment on Woodley vs Lawler.  What advantage does Woodley have?
Woodley indeed is athletic and may have the chance to pull an upset on this fight while Lawler is the kind of fighter who will continue to slug it out with his opponent even if he is bloodied. After watching some videos of Woodley, it made me wonder why the bookies give him that odds and sided with Lawler instead. Now i'm thinking of staking some with Woodley in case he wins.

Im goona go for Robbie Lawler. He's the cuurent welterweight champion with a big heart. Plus the experience, suffered from many loss but still able to be at the top. And from that, he became my idol. Woodley is dangerous. Lawler should be very careful about him but i guess Lawler has more striking and accuracy. I think this a good fight.

For UFC betting's sake.  This is the gambling section right?  There are sports books that offer UFC betting unless I really missed something.  I tried to make my own OP with all the pictures and info but I saw that PuertoRican's is much better.  So I asked permission and he agreed as long as I don't claim that I made it myself.

So back to UFC.  Does anyone think Woodley has the edge on the first three rounds?  If the odds get a little better, I might put a little money on him.  Expecting that to happen as the fight nears when everyone bets on Lawler.
Tyron Woodley last won at UFC 183 that was way back Jan 31 2015 so that 1 year and 7 months ago over Kelvin Gastelum and thats through split decision. Looking at Tyron Woodley's fight history, it's not really impressive and to think he will fight someone who last fought Jan 2 2016 at UFC 195 and experienced last loss at UFC 171 March 15 2015. momentum is on the side of Robbie Lawler on this one.

Other

- A UFC Flyweight Championship bout between current champion Demetrious Johnson and challenger Wilson Reis was expected to serve as the co-main event. However on July 8, it was announced that Johnson pulled out due to an undisclosed injury and the bout was postponed. Reis was expected to remain on the card against promotional newcomer Sean Santella, but a few days later Santella announced the bout was scrapped because the UFC said "he needed to get more medicals done and there wasn't enough time". In turn, Reis will now face Hector Sandoval.

- Claudio Silva was expected to face Siyar Bahadurzada at the event. However on June 16, Silva pulled out due to injury and was replaced by Jorge Masvidal. In turn, Bahadurzada pulled out of the bout on July 12 citing an illness and was replaced by The Ultimate Fighter: United States vs. United Kingdom winner Ross Pearson.
