As expected JDS want's the fight standing and even used the Rocky movie theme. The fight went all the way to the last round and JDS won via decision. I did not bet on Rothwell, neither on JDS as I'm not convinced that he can pull this off but as you see he may have won this fight with Rothwell but his power punch is not there anymore like what he has before.

Rothwell was dominated the whole fight, in my opinion. Losing to a guy that just got KO 'd in last fight by Overeem but didn't help his standing ! Now all the people who bet on Rothwell are jumping on the JDS bandwagon. Grin

Lol at Gonzaga getting knocked out, and kinda glad Dos Santos won, I mean he really needed UFC win at this point of career

Gonzaga was not in the best of form in a very long time, he has to retire from UFC and if he wants to continue he must try some where else before facing the guys from the UFC, DOS Santos  proved he is still the best in the business even with a rejuvenated Ben

ben is not that good on the ground, his sub wins are by fighters going for takedowns and getting a guillotine choke. funny 2 or 3 years ago ben woulda been a huge underdog. i still like jds by ko even tho he hasnt looked good since switching camps.

Junior Dos Santos was once one of the feared UFC heavy weight fighter. I guess his age and health is taking its toll while Ben is banking on his fight history. This is going to be. Good fight for the 2 gentlemen. Both even shaked hands after their weigh-ins.

Junior Dos Santos is still a feared heavy weight.if u look at the average age of heavy weights its more than 33 .so age is not an excuse here. he has being in battles with cain for sure, but his injury might be the reason for his faded performances

If Junior Dos Santos is in the best of health then it is really hard to defeat him, Ben Rothwell is in tremendous form at the moment and he is really confident that he can take on anybody, and in the fight business confidence is everything. since this is going to be a straight up boxing as Rothwell and Dos Santos like to stand and trade. and if it goes to the ground then Rothwell has the advantage

I agree with most here that it will be close, that is also why I like the over 1.5 rounds. Neither are known for going in crazy in the first round and I think both will take their time. Here is a video I made, also with a few picks for the next card

Rothwell vs JDS is a tough one to call, that's why the odds are so close. JDS has better boxing so he could keep Ben at range and throw combos at him, but is his chin gone from all the wars he has been in and will Big Ben keep his momentum?  I haven't bet the main event yet, but I like the value on a couple of underdogs in Gabriel Gonzaga over Derrick Lewis at +160 when I bet it (now less) and Zak Cummings over Nicolas Dalby at +150 today.

Odds makers are going to the side of JDS instead of Rothwell
I just hope he change his fighting style since he is more on boxing. I remember a fight when he don't even want to stay down and waited for his opponent to stand up and slug it out. I would like o see slugging at grappling. This is MMA.

I'll go for the Big Ben for this fight.
Looking at the fight history of Dos Santos, his last win is via unanimous decision Dec 13 2014 with Stipe Miocic.
Dos Santos is known to have a heavy hand and a good jaw, but his last fight is not impressive with Alistair Overeem (KO).

Both fighters are ranked in the top 10 of the UFC heavyweight division, suggesting that both of them are more than eligible to be fighting each other to climb up the ranks. Obviously, the main target of both men is to get another shot at the heavyweight title.

Ben is a gogó choke specialist ,he is really really strong,to make one tap with that choke you need the strength than leverage .Ben's transformation is huge in the past few after opening of his school nd stuff. it is definitely an interesting  match up
