Isn't it that Ricardo Lamas should have squared off with BJ Penn in Manila? Looking at his fight with Charles Oliveira, I think Lamas will win over BJ Penn. So who ever will win over UFC 205 main event Conor vs Alvarez will face off with Tony Ferguson. It will be interesting to see Conor McGregor vs Tony Ferguson.

If McGregor still shows serious cardio issues vs Alvarez then I could see Ferguson having the edge vs McGregor even if the latter wins the light weight title.  Ferguson can take a shot and will be too unpredictable for McGregor.  And remember that Ferguson is a better fighter than Diaz, a whole lot better.

As expected.  Ferguson went out there and won the fight with sheer aggression.  Not saying that Dos Anjos wasn't aggressive, but Ferguson took more in this fight than his opponent.  His height and reach advantage was a factor but the bigger factor was his ability to take shots.  It gave him the confidence to be a little bit reckless and get in the pocket and throw punches from there.

Tony Ferguson won. There is a good possibility that he will fight for the belt soon. I now really hope that Conor will win the light weight belt. An Eddie Alvarez versus Tony Ferguson fight will not really be that exciting and I am sure all of you would rather watch Connor versus Tony.
Oh my god Tony Ferguson lost the first round but came back to win this one match against Rafael dos Anjos ,from a champion with an undefeated record of five straight wins ,he now lost two straight ,lost the belt to Alvarez and now to Tony Ferguson ,it is hard for Dos Anjos to claim the belt again.Connor has to beat Alvarez first then we can think about another fight in Lightweight division

do any of you guys follow any cappers or podcasts for ufc?

I always follow the big fights and fighters so I can bet those fine but the
undercard would be more fun to watch with more action so I was looking
for a good follow.
MMA hour ,fighter and the kid and joe rogan are my favorite podcasts when it comes to MMA ,Undercard fights are the best place to wage some bets ,you just simply need to know the fighters and their background ,main card is filled with killers and you cannot really predict the outcome

This is a few hours late, but better late than never.  Seeing Ferguson and Dos Anjos side by side, I didn't realize how taller Ferguson really is.  His height and reach advantage could make the difference.

As the fight is getting closer and closer, I really feel like backing Ferguson.  We could all see that he's on the rise and Dos Anjos could be in the beginning of a decline in his career.  He peaked by winning the belt, only to lose it to Alvarez, easily.  It wasn't even a close battle.  And if he fought McGregor I think he would lose that match as well.

i am surprised to see Dos Anjos v Ferguson is a free fight and not on PPV,what i really thought was they are fight at UFC 205 ,this division is filled with world class athletes and there is Khabib Nurmagomedov who is waiting for a title shot for a very long time and booked at UFC 200 so it means he will get the shot next until and unless Johnson does the impossible.

Tony Ferguson has very impressive track record and looking more tricky fighter so when he has winning streak than his morale will be so high for this fight with Rafael dos Anjos, I think there is some high chance for Tony Ferguson to keep on winning streak and his motivation will be high there.

@eaLiTy. Then I agree that Rafael Dos Anjos could be highly motivated in this fight if the winner is assured a chance to get the belt in the next fight. I believe Rafael wants to fight both Eddie Alvarez and Conor and each has different reasons. For Eddie he will want to get the loss back and for Conor it would be because of the insults he has received when there was a planned fight between them that was cancelled. I remember Rafael saying that he will demolish Conor.

McGregor announced a long break after the 205 UFC fight so I dont expect him to fight dos Anjos anytime soon. After the break things may have changed a lot. If Nate Diaz fights and loses maybe the interest in a 3rd fight is lost and he fights him, who knows. Things change a lot in 1 year in the fighting game.
Things do change a lot if he is taking a break ,Mcgregor deserves a break as he is one of the most active fighters in the UFC for the past two years and UFC has profited a lot from his presense ,so if he wants to take a break then it is well and fine but the only person who will be pissed about this is going to be Jose Aldo Smiley

I do not know how good Tony Ferguson really is but I would assume that this fight will be his first test if he is championship material or not. Sometimes the underdog wins in these kinds of fights because he has more to prove and will fight more ferociously. I speculate Rafael Dos Anjos is looking at this fight as a necessary nuisance and he might not be so motivated.
Tony Ferguson is on 8 fight winning streak and he last lost in 2012 to Michael Johnson,he is a wild fighter who wins most of his fights by his trademark    chokes,Dos Anjos will be motivated because the winner of this fight will get the title fight

This is a great UFC main event and it has the potential to be one of the best fights of the year. Both challengers are top five in their weight class, and it will be interesting to see how Dos Anjos responds in his first fight since losing his world title. I think Dos Anjos should win this fight by knockout in the middle rounds, but Ferguson is a solid contender that could shock the UFC world. The winner of this fight could also be next in line for the winner of the Alvarez vs. McGregor fight that happens in less than two weeks.

Hey guys, here's a some videos to help you choose who to bet on.  Dos Anjos is one of my favorite fighters and I hope fate will take him back to challenge for the title again.  Hopefully vs McGregor.
If Dos Anjos has to face Mcgregor again he has to go down to 145 after UFC 205 Grin , watch the fight against Diaz and you think Mcgregor could win the fight,i have already placed a big parlay for UFC 205 and Alvarez is having good odds thanks to Mcgregor fans  Grin
Dos Anjos and Ferguson are top level fighters,Ferguson is good in the ground and Dos Anjos is a black belt in BJJ,Dos Anjos have a Muay Thai background and that is going to help him in this match..
