The one I feel sad for is Arlovski. His fight was so boring.

He is 40 already, I guess it is time to retire. He has lost 8 times in his last 10 matches. Strange that he is still in UFC and Dana White doesnt kick him out.

Well he was supposed to have a title shot if he won. There goes his chance.
But Hermansson was clearly the better fighter, winning at least 3 rounds and almost finishing Jacare in the first. It was a good fight, Hermansson showed a lot of stamina, never really looking tired. He's not a great technician but he's a decent fighter who seemed very well prepared for this fight.
Hardy ? Well, the guy has to realize he beat a very average fighter, it's not like he's the world champion now. He only did what he had to do but didn't prove anything.
I liked the Perry fight, he showed some heart and pure force against Olivera, a good striker.

^  Hah!  Glad to win the bet.  I realized it was kinda impulsive after reading eaLity's post.  Lol.

Is it just me or does anybody else feel kinda sad for Jacare?  I mean it's easy to forget that those guys fighting in the cage have families and a life out of it too.  Watch the post fight press conference and go skip to Jacare's part.  Sad  He seems reeeaallyy devastated.

Hermansson defeated Jacare by decision. He almost finished Jacare in round one by guillotine. But Jacare came back in the third, but Hermansson was able to withstand and survived that round and finished the 4th and 5th round very strong and landing more and harder shot. The score 49-46, 48-47, 48-47.

I feel better for my Hermansson gamble.  Smiley  He's slightly bigger than Jacare and he looks really good and ready physically.  And I don't think it's gonna be a decision.  Wink
Hermansson has a good ground game but there are levels to it and i am certain that he is not up to the level of Jacare and Hermansson is stepping in as a short notice replacement for this fight which is not a good idea if you are fighting Jacare, yes there will be pressure, but Jacare was supposed to fight Romero and then Paula Costa and since they could not find another opponent when Costa ruled out citing no time to prepare for the bout Hermansson stepped in and Romero and Costa were much tougher opponent than Hermansson.

Agreed on Glover Teixeira. He also has a predictable pattern of win-loss-win-loss-win- in his last 5 fights. A loss would complete the pattern hehehe.
Age is a factor with Glover Teixeria, he was an unstoppable force at one point and he missed his prime due to visa issues and now his career does not have a direction.

@nydiacaskey01. Why is there so much hype on Greg Hardy?
Apart from being a former footballer and controversy regarding his abuse against his wife he is Dana white's pet and so is the reason he is getting more main event slots and i am sure he will gas out and do some stupid shit this time too.

My picks are: Angela Hill, Roosevelt, Lineker, Jacare and i am doing another parlay with Bellator Rory Macdonald, Bolanos Gaston, Macfarlane, Ilima-Lei and Salahdine Parnasse from KSW

-Greg Hardy and Dimitrii Smoliakov trained together @ american top team when Greg Hardy first began training in mixed martial arts. There's an interesting dynamic there where Smoliakov likely feels his greater experience will give him an advantage while Greg Hardy likely believes his athleticism and the improvements he's made since he first started training MMA will allow him to get the win.

-Jack Hermansson is very good on the ground having defeated decorated brazilian jiu jitsu ace Thales Leites and David Branch. That fight could be decided on the feet although I wouldn't put it past Hermansson to take it to the ground--which is interesting given how virtually no one Jacare has fought has tried to go to the ground with him.

-Glover Teixeira appears to have lost some of his explosiveness and speed. He is no longer the heavy handed knockout artist. He can still get it done with his wrestling and his ground game. Aside from that it looks like he's past his prime and no longer the top 5 or perhaps even top 10 fighter he used to be.

-Jacare (Ronaldo Souza) was verbally promised the next title shot @ 185 lbs if he defeats Jack Hermansson.

-Virna Jandiroba is the current 115 lb champion from invicta in case anyone doesn't recognize her name.

Agreed on Glover Teixeira. He also has a predictable pattern of win-loss-win-loss-win- in his last 5 fights. A loss would complete the pattern hehehe.

It seems like many people are favoring Hermansson here but honestly I don't think he has what it takes to take down Jacare. While Hermansson holds an advantage when talking about striking, he needs to take the fight on the floor and that's where Jacare feels more comfortable as he is known as being one of the best grapplers in his division. It wi surely be a close match, but my bet would be on Jacare here.

When it comes to strikers against grappler, it always goes down who takes advantage first. Whether Hermansson can land a good strike before Jacare takes him down for a submission. Would be an exciting match to watch, this will surely end with either a TKO/submission. Money on Jacare here.

Hermasson to win by KO or TKO, imo he’s the stronger, more aggressive fighter & it’ll be proven on fight night.

Don't know much about him but, yup...  And the pressure's on Jacare.  He def needs to win the match to get the title shot that he's been waiting for.

I wonder what happened to Gilbert Burns vs. Mike Davis fight, nitrogensports did not include them in the list.
Sad to see Andrei Arlovski being the underdog and not in the main card. He used to be one of the headliners.

Yeap, that is sad to see that a former UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion is not in a Main Card.
Maybe this is due to his 2 losses in the last 2 matches.

I think Andrei will win his match, as Walt Harris doesn't seems to be a strong opponent.

Didn’t know much about that guy but he’s scary and looking at his record, theres a higher chance for him to win. Jacare won on his last match so we can’t underestimate this guy because he can do a great fight to win, however I’m stol routine for Hermasson I believe that’s where the money is.

Yup, I think there's still a lot of hype around Hardy.  Grin

And Arlovski, damn I really surprised by this guy, we have seen his best days and then he resurrect his career and now trying to get back into the discussions again and so as Glover.

I think I will go with Jacare, although he doesn't look good at his stage of his career, I'm thinking he can still pull thru against Hermansson.

Have you heard about Arlovski's crystal chin ? Almost every punch or kick in the chin turns his light out. His opponent has 12-1 record with 10 KO. Want to earn a bit money, make a bet that this fight will end with KO.

There are some good fighters here, a nice mixup between newcomers and more experienced ones : Hardy (former NFL pro who got dqed in his last UFC appearance),"Jacare", Glover Teixeira and most of all Arlovski.
It should be a fun night.
Thanks for the preview !

For me, Hermansson is really the one who is showing off the attitude of winning the game. However, even Jacare did not look that good during his previous fight with Weidman,  he still has the chance to win because we can definitely see his dedication of having the WIN, as well. Hermansson is really the best option to choose who would win in this match. But we can't still tell. There will be a chance where Jacare could kill Hermansson with perfect timing and momentum.

I am always going for the main event and The Gator Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza was a specific fighter with a name title to him that indicates this move set and a Jiu-Jitsu Master with his locks and submission moves when you see a gator biting his prey, You will notice it in his every fight, Not only this but a combination of punches and knee kicks or kicks has a combination of moves that his opponent should watch out for, But Jack "The Joker Hermansson has a priority target when fighting his opponent and that will be his opponent legs and I see that he has a tremendous reach than Jacare Souza But I am not sure if that will be enough with Jacare's potential to win this, And just like what I am saying with all of my speculations I would go with the fighter that has enough experience, So my bet would go to Ronaldo Jacare Souza.
