UFR is a cryptoUBI currency that is part of the UBIC blockchain.
It is a local currency that is intended to be mainly used in France.
French citizen in possession of a valid passport are able to mint new UFR coins by scanning the NFC chip of their passports.

There are 2 methods to scan your passport:
Method n°1 using the android app
 - Open the playstore(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=network.ubic.ubic) and install the app.
 - Go to register my passport and enter your passport number, date of birth, date of expiry. (These information are needed in order to read out the NFC chip content).

Method n°2 using a Linux computer with a NFC reader.
  - Install UBIC core from the source code https://github.com/UBIC-repo/core
  - Go to My UBI and follow instructions.

If you have a passport from another country you can visit the UBIC announcement thread and verify if your passport can be used to receive another UBIC currency.
