They have bitcoin ATMs even in China already so I have only one question for UK - why 5? Why not 500?

BTC ATMs are very expensive and require a lot of capital to operate.

Per news from coindesk, another 3 Uk ATM will be avalaible in London and bristol.

That's something which change view on bitcoins in UK.

For places where you can buy bitcoin look here: http://goo.gl/RA070e

We have confirmed 5 ATM than in UK. This is good news.

This is good news and those ATMs are spreading very fast.

Still many cities in the UK needs it and people wants it Smiley so some investors have a lot of work Smiley
Place ATM in your city if you can!

ATM is still expensive though. But soon normal shop keepers will take it as another way of making money.

If shop keepers were to have BTC ATMs in their store so people could buy bitcoin and the store were to also accept bitcoin then those stores would generate a lot of foot traffic. Granted a lot of it would not be interested in buying the products at the store, but it would probably have an great increased amount of sales, just not as much as the extra foot traffic.

The situation with BTC in UK looks better than in many other countries except maybe Netherlands and Japan. They have BTC friendly banks, they have ATM now. Hope all this will become better and better

It's a slow burner over here. It is branching out from areas of influence. I'm just surprised that Manchester hasn't got one yet - I'm sure that it would serve the North rather well given how popular Manchester is, both as a commercial district and a home for tech start-ups.

What's your take on the legality of setting up a 2 way bitcoin ATM in the UK? Has anyone already looked into this?

Bah, there needs to be some in the north of England. We're missing out! I hope that somebody introduces one further north. I'm surprised that Manchester doesn't have one yet, there's a big start-up (especially tech) community in that area of the country.

I would love to buy a Bitcoin ATM, but I aren't liquid enough to spare the funds to bankroll one.

Agree, more needed North UK - I understand London would be a logical place to start, but Bristol?!? Does anyone know who is the company supplying/licensing the machines? I wouldn't mind contacting them and perhaps buying a few to install.

Bristol is quite a good location I think, yes it's quite small but it has a pretty large "alternative" population, ie hippies, anarchists etc. Also young Bristolians seem pretty sharp when it comes to political/economic matters in my experience.

I agree that some more need to be installed in the North though, and some in Wales and Scotland would be sweet.

Any location is good. People need to learn how they can start with bitcoin and how easy would be without plastic card visa logo.

This will contribute to spread the word about bitcoin and cryptos in general, hope the number of ATM will increase exponentially in the next years.
