It's time to appreciate the efforts of these countries who have identified the tremendous potential of blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Australia has introduced cryptocurrency to the primary grade students and now Ukraine is thinking on legalizing it. This step is going to prove beneficial not only for the crypto users but also the government because it will reduce the shadow usage resulting in an increase in efficiency of money. It is the time when other countries should follow this gesture of vision.

The main issue I have with these government people is the believe that Crypto is mostly used for all these illegal activities, and there have beens tudies on these that shows that just 1% of these transactions are used for illegal activities. I won't expect much from them until it is passed and I see the content of the legislation

Ukraine is preparing draft legislation to legalize cryptocurrencies, according to a post by a member of the Ukrainian Parliament

The document notes that the legislation aims to create a “free and transparent” digital asset market in Ukraine, outlining rules for storing, using, and exchanging cryptocurrencies, digital tokens, and smart contracts at a state, entity, and individual level. It proposes regulatory measures for preventing the use of crypto for money laundering, terrorist financing, and other criminal activities.

A new bill has been submitted to Ukrainian parliament which proposes to completely legalize all crypto transaction it also defines miners, cryptocurrency holders, the blockchain, exchange, and transactions. I think this news is funny because the news is coming out when Russia is seeing cryptocurrency closely.

I think this is great news for cryptocurrencies in general. If everything works out well and if the community see that their system is moving well without any huge issues, we will see many ICOs, Crypto exchanges moving to Ukraine! Furthermore, this would become a benchmark for other countries to implement their legislations and laws to support cryptocurrencies. I think mass adoption of cryptocurrencies is inevitable, it just takes time and patiences on all parties involved in this!

"On the instructions of the National Security and Defense Council, the preparation of a concept for the regulation of the crypto-currency market is completed, and an interdepartmental working group with participation of financial market regulators and market participants is engaged in developing the concept that crypto-currencies will be recognized as one of the types of assets that are traded on the sites. The regulator of this market will be the National Commission on Securities and Stock Market "

For a country that's highly influenced by the Russians, I'm surprised that they are acting based on what they think is right and would benefit them in the long run without having to consult their mother Russia. It's about time that countries start drafting legislation for cryptocurrencies since it's spreading like wildfire. Even the normal citizens are wanting to take a piece of it, so they (the governments) need to make sure that their citizens know the bounds and legalities of trading and using crypto so as not to get scammed or use it for money laundering purposes.

Very good news. maybe Ukraine itself is not the richest country and has not the best electrical equipment, but such news will allow many countries of the CIS to rethink the influence of the crypto currency on the world today and bring to the official recognition of such large countries as russia, Kazakhstan and so on.

The revolutionary Export system/One-click Export
The fact that they are actually listening to their citizens or claiming to has to bode well for Ukraine and crypto enthusiasts alike. We can hardly expect every country to follow suit like this, but perhaps some will because of it and that will be a major win in my book. The last thing you want is regulation that is suited for 2014 while we are in 2018, you need up to date good laws to reflect the technology and I believe this will aid that.

Good to see more countries embracing the blockchain, it is definitely the future so the earlier they get on board the bigger their advantage will be. Perhaps they will trade with Russia using crypto as relations between them have soured in recent years and blockchain is more transparent.

This as the government Zimbabwe is preparing to try and stifle the industry. This is indeed excellent news for me and by all indications the Ukraine is serious  about legalizing the crypto because a draft has already been presented to their parliament . This is an indication that the crypto world cannot be ignored anymore by any Government because it has become a major player in the international financial market. I truly hope they are successful in their bid to pass this law as it will inspire others in that region to follow suit.

regulations are NOT needed

consumer protections ARE needed.
there is a difference

regulations let a business self police itself(bankers did not go to prison due to 2007 crises) and the business can do anything as long as the business snoops on its customers. = bad for average users

consumer protections police businesses and protects consumers.= good for averag users and good for moral/ethical businesses

in both cases if a business has certified for regulation or consumer protection.. then it validates them as "professional".
but regulation is not about helping the community its about adding bureaucracy without real protection. where as consumer protection does

i realy wish people would really push more for consumer protection certification rather than regulation

Central Bank of Ukrain recently requested and advised the Ukrain government that proper regulatory measures for controlling crypto measures should be taken and clear cut regulations should be laid down.  So if some regulations are made then the bitcoin and other crypto will be legalized.  But it is matter of concern that how the government will be able to regulate crypto because the crypto transactions are mainly anonymous  in nature.  But yes the purchases of crypto using Banking channel can be regulated.
But it is welcome step if the crypto is legalized .

This is very good news. Ukraine has recently sought to keep up with technology. I believe that the legalization of the cryptocurrency will help Ukraine get out of the difficult situation in which it is now. I always have a positive attitude when steps are being taken in some country to legalize the cryptocurrency.

Cryptocurrencies regulation is a must and it's a good news. Seems that Ukraine and other European countries are trying to take the advantages of cryptocurrencies.
Compare the news we hear from European countries with the news we hear from Pakistan, India, China an some other countries.
