Do you happen to use Discord?
I am on the Bitcointalk Discord server and Cyrus is fairly active there and it has been at least an instance of him/her letting someone know about a ban reversal in the past though that medium of communication. In fact, Cyrus was talking there yesterday night.
Thanks for the advice, but Welsh has already written that everyone who needs to have seen this topic. I'm just reminding of its relevance. And the
need to contact the forum staff through alternative channels like discord is a pretty bad sign, don't you think? This section of the forum is needed specifically for this.

Can someone of the global moderators unban his account? Hill.money https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/hillmoney-3534725

I am surprised that one of the moderators supported the appeal, and no one is still responding.
I thought all moderators had direct communication with the admins and Global moderators (as they are working for the same platform). But, I got puzzled to see xandry trying to get attention from global moderators within the forum. But it also makes sense since this is Bitcoin Community, and everyone here tries to remain anonymous. Maybe xandry doesn't want to bother them outside the forum.

Everyone maybe doesn't like anyone contacted outside the forum for forum-related issues. mprep wrote that on his website

Note: I only handle Bitcointalk moderation-related queries via Bitcointalk PM. Contacting me via any other means for this reason will get you blocked. If you were permanently banned on Bitcointalk, appeal the ban via the email specified in your ban message.

The way I see it, if members have the right to create appeal threads, the least they could get is an answer, especially if they are not brand new accounts.
Maybe nobody wants to say "no" on behalf of everyone, and nobody wants to say "yes" either. An official negative reply would close the door for any other Mod or Admin to unban the account.

too many "maybes" for such a banal matter, something that only one moderator can solve in a minute. assumptions and guesses are not the best final solution.

In most cases, however, unban requests aren't deserved and get ignored.
Well, I don't like the ignore part and that's what I would like to see changed.

One of the very few things that I don't like about bitcointalk is that people never get response (or maybe they do?)from forum staff in similar situations if their decision is negative. I understand that no answer is a kind of answer as well, but how hard it would be to say "your request has been denied because of xy and decision has been final" or something along those lines, instead just letting people bump their appeal threads for months of even years in some cases.
Isn't that the risk of creating a public topic? If you want a direct response from Admin, send a PM. If you're still ignored, take a hint Wink

I always assume Admin to be omnipresent Cheesy From what I've seen, incorrect bans are investigated and usually resolved quickly. In most cases, however, unban requests aren't deserved and get ignored.

It could take some time, they've definitely seen it. There might be some investigation involved to decide the outcome, but I'd be quite confident in saying that they've seen the appeal or perhaps they've decided against lifting the ban.

I guess that's forum policy but a little bit more transparency in that regard would be nice imho.

Maybe it is the mention of some of the moderators to pay attention to your appeal. Only one of them can unban your account.
For example, Cyrus or hilariousandco

Let's see when they unban this account or how much time they would take to unban. Perhaps a PM to the mods may help. Global moderator needs to do this job as asked by xandry on Feb 26.

Ah, the same old "blame it on developers" excuse that we heard so many time before in the past. But even if it was indeed their fault and they put it there without your approval, you didn't think that its misleading to keep that logo on your website because you simply weren't listed there as of yet?

The fact that someone else had to warn you about that says something.
It shouldn't have been made live, although it's mad how many times I've heard this excuse. Usually, developers that you've hired will give you a preview before going live, and you work out the fine details, and eventually make it live. However, there's usually a review process, and ultimately your responsible for who you hire, and what you put out.

Since, I haven't looked at exactly what was copied, and the exact situation since it needs someone with the correct permissions, I don't know how complex the situation is. So it might take a little bit for it all to be reviewed.

I also support the unban request, there is no doubt on my part that this was just a minor accident. This ban appeal is also made by the original topic poster.

This is one of those appeals which should be listened to as it is a genuine case and there no hint of cheating here.

OP first step of action when banned is to respond to the email address appearing on his ban notice for a first appeal, then open a thread and also appeal openly, the chances of getting unbanned if it's permanent ban is very low, if the community and the moderator that place the ban considers his commitment and contributions to the forum, he may likely be given a second chance, this would have been more possible to achieve of it were to be a temporary ban, the mistake most people do is that they don't read the rules and once they go against it, they will always want to be given a second chance, now left for the moderator to decide base on the conviction he received, and at OP how long will you continue with the bump of this thread just to continuously make it noticed.

The logos of "bestchange" were automatically placed by our developers, because in any case, it is planned to be placed in this monitoring. At the moment, we have removed the logos and will place them only after they are included in the monitoring.

Anyway, some start asking questions outside the context of account recovery, (it's reputation related). It would be better to open a new topic on the appropriate board.

it really sounds a little twisted to me that developers "automatically" add a logo to an external site, which is not even a partner at that moment. especially if it is someone who can significantly increase your credibility.

otherwise, how far did you go with acceptance into Best_Change monitoring?

Previously, the whole situation was described, the Olimpchange account and the site are not relevant, so we created a new Hill.money account and tried to post a new topic from a new account. Unfortunately, we did not know that such a problem could arise. We apologize for the current situation.
We kindly ask you to help with the account unban.

I am not sure what is the real reason why you changed the name and domain in such a short time, but I think you should be active here (and unbanned), because you currently offer some kind of service and it is important that users can have another channel for conversation with you.
If anything goes wrong with your business, people usually come here to complain. So you need to be active here.

if I remember correctly, one member was also banned for a similar mistake, but his ban was lifted because he actively offered loans and it was important that he remain present for his clients.

We were forced to change the domain.

Speaking of which, I couldn't help but notice that you're using the BestChange logo on your website to make it seem more trustworthy. However, I did some digging and noticed that neither "hill.money" nor "Olimpchange" are listed on BestChange's website as verified exchanges. We've seen similar situations before where exchanges falsely claimed to be associated with BestChange, only to turn out to be scams.

I'm not saying that's the case here, but it would be helpful if you could explain your partnership with BestChange (if there is one), and maybe even check with them to confirm it.
